CS221 – Ornamental Christmas

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”! I think placing the ornaments on the tree is magical! They are the jewelry of the tree!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

Super simple on this card…for when you are running out of time to make your cards!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is -1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Shaded Spruce is embossed with the Traditional Wreath Embossing Folder and added to the front of the base card.
The Ornamental Christmas ornament was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the Ornamental Christmas greeting in Poppy Parade ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The top and bauble at the bottom of the ornament were cut from Gold Foil Paper and adhered.
Some Gold & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the ornament top. An extra piece was tucked behind the ornament top and the top of the Shaded Spruce layer.
One of the holly diecut images from the Christmas Tags & More Designer Paper was tucked behind the top of the ornament.
Some red Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the holly and background.

IM412 – Snowflake Kisses

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a frosty snowflake!

SNOWFLAKE KISSES

This snowflake bundle was just calling my name, so I gave in and ordered it! I really didn’t need another snowflake set, but I liked this background die!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Snowflake Kisses Die and added to the front.
The circle in the Die Set was cut from Cloud Cover cardstock (LOVE those tiny snowflakes around the edge!).
A single snowflake was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the center of the circle, then the circle added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Winter from Snowflake Kisses stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on 1/2 x 2 Cloud Cover cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A couple Faceted Snowflakes were added to the center snowflake and the greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Holiday Magic

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “Holiday Magic”!

SNOWY DELIGHTS

I always think snow at Christmas is magical! I don’t really like it after Christmas…partly why we head to Florida for the winter! So, I chose to use the Snowy Delights bundle for today’s Holiday Magic card in some fun colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Everyday Happiness Designer Paper is added on top (it reminded me of snow falling!)
The largest Snowy Delights snowflake was cut from Highland Heather, the medium from Pretty in Pink and the smallest from Cloud Cover. They were adhered together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Snowy Delights stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and cut with the label die. It was added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some purple Frosted Iridescent Dots were added to the snowflake.
The white Baker’s Twine was colored with a Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends, then tied in a bow and added below the greeting.

CSF896 – Festive Friends

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a holiday color combination this week!

FESTIVE FRIENDS

I’m obsessed with this little snowman. I used him on my own Christmas cards this year and still have my tags to make using him! So, here’s one more idea using him with these colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Old Olive cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Pool Party was stamped and stamped off with the tree along the width of the background.
A 2 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top. It was stamped with the greeting in Cherry Cobbler Ink and added to the bottom of the Pool Party. Then it was added to the Old Olive layer on front.
The tree was cut from Old Olive cardstock using the Die and adhere using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The snowman was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party Stampin’ Blends with a little Pumpkin Pie for his nose. He was cut with the Festive Friends Die and added next to the tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three sets of snowflakes from the Festive Friends Dies were cut from Basic White cardstock and adhere with Monoadhesive Glue to the background randomly.
A trio of blue Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the snowbank.

CS220 – Branching Out

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”! Are you getting lots of ideas for your Christmas cards?

BRANCHING OUT

This Branching Out set is so versatile…more than just for Christmas! I do think the pop of a red bow turned this into one though.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is -1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock was added on top.
The 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Autumn Toile DSP was added towards the bottom.
The label shape was cut with the Branching Out die from Basic Beige cardstock and the greeting stamped with Early Espresso Ink. Some speckles were stamped and stamped off with Crumb Cake Ink.
The pine branches were cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock and then stems colored with the SU900 Stampin’ Blends. They were adhered flat to the label.
Two pinecones were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and brushed with Early Espresso Ink and were adhered to the branches.
A bow was made with the Real Red Shiny Ribbon and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot to the top of the branches.
Two Traditional Shimmer Sequins were added to the background.

IM411 – Festive Friends

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a wonderful photo of Santa and his reindeer on a sleigh with gifts!

FESTIVE FRIENDS

I really wanted a more realistic looking Santa for this challenge but sadly I didn’t have any current ones. Festive Friends to the rescue!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder (the focal point in the upper left corner).
A 2 x 4 piece of Christmas Tags & More Designer Paper was added across the front with a 1/4 x 4 strip of Real Red cardstock on the top towards the bottom.
The large 2-7/8″ Circle was cut from Pool Party cardstock and added inside the Dotted Circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Santa was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Real Red, Basic Black, Ivory and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Festive Friends Die and added to the circle towards the left side.
Three of the die-cut packages from the Christmas Tags & More DSP were added next to Santa on the right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Festive Friends Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals slightly under the larger circle.
A trio of red Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added in the background.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “Christmas Trees or Branches”!

PINE TREE TRIMMINGS

You may sort of remember this card! Well, it is different because I updated it using the new Pine Tree Trimmings stamp set! I have “remade” this card several different times over the years…the original from 2012 is one of my most saved Pinterest pins! I think it is the different colors I used that catches people’s eye!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock is stamped with the Pine Tree Trimmings greeting in Poppy Parade Ink and the small snowflakes from Snowy Delights stamp set in White Craft Ink across the top half.
The snowbanks were torn 4″ wide strips of Basic White cardstock adhered across the bottom.
Two trees were stamped with Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Pine Tree Trimmings Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The garland and stars were cut from Poppy Parade cardstock using the Dies, then trimmed and adhered to the trees.
A red Faceted Snowflake was added to the center of each star for a little bling.

CSF895 – Shepherd’s Care

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a fun sketch challenge this week!

SHEPHERD’S CARE

This is such a pretty stamp set to make quick cards! I love the soft sketchy look to the stamps.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover cardstock was added on top.
The 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Peaceful Garden DSP was added on top.
The circle was cut with the largest Stylish Shapes Die and stamped with the shepherd in Night of Navy Ink. It was colored with Cloud Cover, Crumb Cake and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.
The bottom of the circle was trimmed off.
The Peace on Earth greeting was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on 3/4 x 4 Cloud Cover cardstock and added to the front, the ends were trimmed slightly.
A 1 x 2 banner was cut from the Peaceful Garden DSP and 1 x 1-1/2 from the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper. Both were tucked under the greeting.
The star from the A Little Cheer Punch Pack was punched from the Peaceful Gardens Glimmer Paper and added at the top with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Cloud Cover In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.
