CCMC310 Beautiful Bunch (what else?)

OK…yes…just mildly obsessed with this stamp set, Beautiful Bunch, right now! lol! Can you take another one? It’s a color challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary and I’m LATE getting my card done (real late!), so decided to pull out the set that gives me the quickest inspiration! lol!

Such patriotic colors…tomorrow is the 4th of July ALREADY! The summer is going much too fast! That always feels like the halfway point for me! But here is my card:

And the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White folded in half.
I rounded the left side corners of the 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock and placed on the base.
I used a 2 1/4 x 4 piece of red checked pattern from Maritime Designer Paper along the left side.
Next is a 4 x 3 1/4 piece of Whisper White that I rounded the corners on the left side.
I stamped the Flowering Flourishes (new to me!) with Coastal Cabana in the background.
Then I punched the flower from Beautiful Bunch twice with Real Red Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Fun Flower punch. I stamped the center with Night of Navy ink on Whisper White and punched with the 7/8 Scallop Circle Punch. The flower is put together using Stampin’ Dimensionals on placed over the Flowering Flourish.
I stamped Happy Birthday from And Many More in Night of Navy Ink in the bottom right corner.
Finally, I used the light red Blendabilities marker and colored my Rhinestones red for the center of the flower and along the edge! Love being able to do that!

As a side note…could I get some PRAYERS for my husband today…he is at a very important job interview today…his 4th face-to-face interview with this company! SUOC100 Beautiful Bunch

Wow! Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges is celebrating 100 challenges this week! WOOHOO!!! So, we are taking a “blast to the past” and using ANY of the 99 challenges we’ve done so far! You can check out the entire list over on SUO Challenges! Then grab your stamps and play along…there HAS to be a favorite of yours on there!!!

I used SUO Challenge #65 “Going Green” for my challenge! I thought my favorite stamp set right now, Beautiful Bunch, would look awesome done up in greens! I combined it with the Park Lane Designer Paper!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, folded in half.
I cut a 3 x 4 3/4 piece of the Park Lane Designer Paper and rounded the corners on the right side.
On the 1 1/2 x 4 piece of Basic Black, I stamped Hello from Four You Stamp Set with White Craft Ink and corner rounded the right corners, too.
I added a 1/2 x 4 piece of Gold Glimmer Paper under the Basic Black cardstock, and rounded the corner at the bottom.
I stamped the Beautiful Bunch Flower twice with Mossy Meadow Ink on Pear Pizzazz and punched with the Fun Flower Punch. The center I stamped with Pear Pizzazz on Whisper White and punched with the 7/8 Scallop Circle Punch. All the layers are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For some bling, I added a Pearl in the center and two pearls on each side.

Look Up to Father

I didn’t get a chance to show this card earlier, made with Stampin’ Up!’s Look Up To Father stamp from the Spring Catalog, because it was my dad’s Father’s Day card and I didn’t want him to see it before he got it! I really LOVE the greeting in it. I’m sure this stamp will remain in my special stamps to keep! And, combining it with Work of Art for this beautiful sunrise/sunset is perfect for him! I’m not the originator of the sunset idea with Work of Art…I just adapted it for my card.

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Mossy Meadow, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Calypso Coral cardstock.
On the 3 3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, I stamped the tree from Look Up to Father with Black Stazon. I darkened it even more by dotting on my Basic Black Marker to fill in some of the lighter areas of the tree…but was careful not to lose the airiness of the leaves.
I used the Work of Art stamps for the ground with Mossy Meadow Ink, the sun with Daffodil Delight and the sky with Calpyso Coral.
Next I used Soft Sky Ink and a sponge to give the appearance of sky in the background.
The greeting was stamped with Black Stazon in the lower right area and I added some bling with the trio of Calpyso Coral Candy Dots.

Looks surprisingly simple, right? Well, I ruined about 2 full sheets of Whisper White trying to get everything lined up correctly! lol! But…I do love the outcome!

CCMC-SUM Week 1 – High Five

It’s the end of Week 1 over on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition! Our subscribers have enjoyed several new, exclusive and fun projects using products from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog! AND…we have LOTS more to show! It’s not too late to join us! Check out the details over on Create with Connie and Mary!

In the meantime, Mary and I, plus the Design Team, do a challenge each Saturday to help get the word out about Create with Connie and Mary! Anyone is welcome to play along with this fun sketch challenge!

And here is what I did using the new set, High Five! Isn’t it FUN!

I love the patriotic look and feel with the glittery stars and colors! Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Night of Navy, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Whisper White on top.
On the 3 3/4 x 5 layer of Real Red, I embossed it with the Large Polka Dots folder (hard to see in the photo!)
I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around 4 times and adhered in the back, then added it to the front of the base card.
I cut a 1 1/4 x 5 strip of Maritime Designer Paper and cut a pointed end, then placed with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The oval dotted circle from High Five was stamped with Night of Navy on Whisper White and cut with the Oval Framelit.
I stamped High Five in the center with Real Red Ink, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I punched 4 glittery stars from Silver Glimmer Paper and added them to the oval and by the point of the DSP.

Lots of fun with this basic set!

CCMC309 Something to Say

It’s Thursday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary weekly challenge…it’s a sketch this week…and a really FUN one! Grab your stamps and play along!

I love that this greeting set, Stampin’ Up!’s Something to Say, also has a couple little stamp images. In particular I love the star and flower! I let the Gold Soiree Designer Paper do all the “talking” again on this card, with a sprinkling of little flowers!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Pistachio Pudding folded in half.
I cut a 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 piece of Gold Soiree Designer Paper in the floral pattern and layered on a 3 3/8 x 4 5/8 piece of Garden Green cardstock.
Along the side, I punched a 1/2″ strip of Calypso Coral with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch.
I used the Banner Framelit to cut the Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock.
I stamped the greeting with Garden Green on Whisper White and punched with the Decorative Label punch then popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front.
Next I stamped the little flower in Something to Say with Garden Green Ink on Pistachio Pudding and Calypso Coral Ink on Calypso Coral cardstock and punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch.
Finally, I added the tiny pearls to the center of the flowers!

Beautiful Bunch Again!

OK…yes, I admit it…I’m slightly obsessed with Beautiful Bunch right now. I honestly did not think I would like it as much as I do! It’s easy because it has the coordinating punch. And, quite simply, it makes beautiful cards so easy to make! And, this time I only used a single bloom instead of the double that I’ve been doing. I also matched it with the GORGEOUS, YUMMY Gold Soiree Designer Paper. I finally cut into it! I love the silky feel to the paper and the shimmery gold in it!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Pistachio Pudding and I rounded the corners on the bottom.
I cut a 3 x 6 piece of Gold Soiree Designer Paper, then placed it at an angle going across the top of the card and snipped off the excess.
I added a 1/4 x 5 piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock across the seam, and trimmed off the excess.
Let’s Celebrate from Sumthin’ Sumthin’ was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on a diagonal.
I stamped the Beautiful Bunch flower with Calypso Coral Ink on Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock and punched with the Fun Flower Punch. I stamped it again with Mossy Meadow Ink on Pistachio Pudding cardstock and punched with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.
I added a little rhinestone in the center for a little bling!

It’s a WOW for me! Although the design is very CAS, the Gold Soiree shimmers in the background and the flower pops! I love it!

In celebration, I made up this card using my favorite Beautiful Bunch stamp set again! I love the patriotic feel to it using Maritime!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Night of Navy, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Whisper White.
On the 3 3/4 x 5 layer of Maritime DSP, I added a 1 x 3 3/4 piece of the Stripe pattern, with a 1/4 strip of Real Red Cardstock under it.
I stamped the Beautiful Bunch flower twice with Real Red on Whisper White, then punched with the Fun Flower Punch.
I punched the center out of Regals Backgrounds DSP because I wanted the polka dot pattern…you could use the navy pattern in Maritime, too! The flower was placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Rhinestone Jewel to the center, too.
I stamped Happy Birthday from And Many More stamp set…love the selection of greetings in that set!
