CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Sorry to See You Go

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “Sorry to See You Go”. We will be featuring stamps and products that are retiring soon…last chance to get them before the go away! I’ve used SEVERAL retiring items on here…can you spot them?

WISTERIA WISHES

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 2, 3-1/8, 5-3/8 and 6-1/2. Do a Valley, Mountain, Mountain and Valley fold to make the base.
Two 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 pieces of Flowers & More Designer Paper were added to each end panel.
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Tahitian Tide cardstock was embossed with the dotted Basics 3D Embossing Folder and added to the center panel.
The large scallop oval from Framed Florets Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock. The center oval was sponged along the bottom with Parakeet Party Ink using a Blender Brush.
The stems from Wisteria Wishes were stamped a couple times with Parakeet Party Ink. The tops of the wisteria were inked with Tahitian Tide Ink and then sponged along the bottom with Orchid Oasis Ink, then stamped on the oval. Repeat on the ends with the single stamp. Adhere both to the center panel.
Hang in there was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock, then cut a flag end. It was added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

CCMC762 – Fragrant Flowers

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Another great color combination this week to inspire you!

FRAGRANT FLOWERS

These colors say “SPRING” to me! And of course, that means flowers! I just recently purchased the Fragrant Flowers bundle. It really is an easy set to work with!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Rain or Shine DSP was added to the right side of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The large flower bunch from Fragrant Flowers Stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, colored with Mango Melody, Old Olive and Flirty Flamingo Inks and a sponge dauber. It was cut with the Fragrant Flowers Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hello from Fragrant Flowers was stamped with Old Olive Ink on scrap Basic White and hand-cut around the letters. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Milky Dots were added to the background.

CS84 – Whiskey Business

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Goodbye! We will design our cards using this theme of retiring products!

WHISKEY BUSINESS

This set is a fun one to use for someone you know that likes bourbon like my boys do! I think I’ve done a couple cards using it for each of them! I love the greetings in Whiskey Business stamp set, too! I actually made a moving-away card for my neighbor who enjoys her glass of bourbon every night!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Whiskey Business stamp set in Cajun Craze Ink.
A 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Textured Chic Designer Paper was added across the front. (I love how this looked with the “whiskey” color!)
The whiskey decanter and glass were stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze and Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. The rind with Dark Daffodil Delight Blends. Everything was hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Champagne Rhinestones were added to the background. I am REALLY going to miss these!

IM275 – Sweet Citrus

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. Isn’t this a cheerful pillow to inspire you?

SWEET CITRUS

Of course…what else could I use except the Sweet Citrus Bundle for today’s card? I LOVE this set…it’s a keeper in my collection!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
- A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Enjoy the Journey Designer Paper was added to the bottom.
- The Scallop Contours Die was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sweet Citrus oranges were stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink for both the outline and the insides. They were embossed with the Sweet Citrus Embossing Folder, then cut with the Sweet Citrus Dies. They were assembled on the Scallop Contours die-cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Four sets of leaves were stamped with Parakeet Party Ink, then highlighted with Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. The flowers were stamped with Mango Melody Ink. They were all cut with the Sweet Citrus Dies and tucked around the oranges with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Thanks from the Sweet Citrus greeting was inked with Memento Black Ink and stamped on 1/2 x 1-1/2 Parakeet Party cardstock. The end was trimmed at an angle and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Fun Flowers Resin Shapes were added to the centers of the flowers and to the background.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Seaside

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “seaside”. This can mean beaches, boats, water or any tropical type of idea on our cards! Palm trees make me think of Florida and Florida makes me think of the beaches! I also LOVE this greeting!

PARADISE PALMS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
The 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Early Espresso cardstock was placed towards the left side with a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Design a Daydream Designer Paper on top.
The grass, trunk and palm top were cut from Basic White cardstock with the Palm Dies. The grass and palm top were colored with Old Olive and Granny Apple Green Ink with Sponge Daubers. The tree trunk was colored with Early Espresso Ink.
The coconuts from Paradise Palms stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Basic White and cut with the Dies. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Paradise Palms stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White with Early Espresso Ink and cut with the Meadow label die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Milky Dots were added to the background. (I like how the white/clear ones take on the color of the cardstock around it…these have a greenish hue to them!)

CS83 – Cottage Rose

COTTAGE ROSE

I think this is one of the prettiest Stampin’ Up! flower sets we’ve had. I know I used it a LOT when it first came out. I often grab it to make a get-well card because I love the feel better greeting in it! I especially love how this turned out using the retiring Polished Pink color. I’m SO going to miss it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Enjoy the Moment Designer Paper was added to the front.
The greeting from Cottage Rose was stamped with Memento Black Ink under the DSP.
The floral image from Cottage Rose was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored using a Water Painter and Polished Pink, Parakeet Party and Crushed Curry Ink Refills. It was cut with the Cottage Flowers Dies.
Some White Glittered Organdy Ribbon was looped a couple times and adhered to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The finished rose was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the ribbon.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Milky Dots were added to the background.

IM274 – Easter Bunny

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have some Easter cookies to inspire you. Don’t they look yummy?

EASTER BUNNY

Yep…this week was kind of obvious for me to use the Easter Bunny Bundle. But…I did go a little different direction by using brighter colors! Stampin’ Up! just doesn’t have a true pastel pink color. I keep hoping! Both Petal Pink and Blushing Bride have too much brown in them for a true pink.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Online Exclusives, crosshatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder, then cut with the Radiating Stitches Die. It was adhered to the front.
- The bunnies were punched from two patterns in the Flowers & More Designer Paper (Host).
- The greeting was stamped with Polished Pink Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Something Fancy Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bunnies were then added slightly over the label.
- The flower clusters were stamped with Memento Black Ink, the colored with Fresh Freesia and Parakeet Party Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the bunnies with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two pink In Color Opal Rounds were added to the label.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Yeah! Happy April Fool’s Day! But, we aren’t joking…this week our theme is Pick Me Up…a get well, well wishes or thinking of you card! I send out a lot of this type of card.

FRAGRANT FLOWERS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mango Melody cardstock is stamped randomly with the Fragrant Flowers stamp with Mango Melody Ink, then added to the base card.
A 1 x 3-1/2 strip of Flowers & More Designer paper (host) was added across the front.
A 1/4 x 2 strip of Polished Pink cardstock was added on top of the DSP and the end cut at an angle.
Three leaves from Fragrant Flowers Dies were cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Monoadhesive Glue.
Thinking of You from Very Best Occasions was stamped with Memento Black on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the circle in the Radiating Stitches Dies.
A trio of white Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems were added to the background.
