CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Pick Me Up

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Yeah! Happy April Fool’s Day! But, we aren’t joking…this week our theme is Pick Me Up…a get well, well wishes or thinking of you card! I send out a lot of this type of card.

FRAGRANT FLOWERS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mango Melody cardstock is stamped randomly with the Fragrant Flowers stamp with Mango Melody Ink, then added to the base card.
A 1 x 3-1/2 strip of Flowers & More Designer paper (host) was added across the front.
A 1/4 x 2 strip of Polished Pink cardstock was added on top of the DSP and the end cut at an angle.
Three leaves from Fragrant Flowers Dies were cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Monoadhesive Glue.
Thinking of You from Very Best Occasions was stamped with Memento Black on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the circle in the Radiating Stitches Dies.
A trio of white Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Spring is here

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Ahhh, by the time we hit the end of March, we know that here in Ohio we can pretty much count on SPRING and warm weather. We may have a day or two of snow…but it never lasts.

DAINTY DELIGHT

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two 1/2 x 5-1/4 strips of Flowers & More DSP (Host) were added to the sides of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The center was blended with Pool Party Ink for the background using a Blending Brush. The Dainty Delight image was stamped with Memento Black Ink. It was colored with Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
Celebrate You from Dainty Delight stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Fresh Freesia cardstock and punched with the Oval Duo Punch.
A 5″ length of Fresh Freesia Organdy Ribbon was folded in half and added to the back of the oval, then to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of purple In Color Opal Rounds were added to the background.

Achievers Blog Hop – March 2023

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve last year’s Incentive Trip on a Norway Cruise that we will be taking this upcoming May! IRRESISTIBLE BLOOMS

I’m excited that every few months, Stampin’ Up! will release some Online Exclusives! The Irresistible Blooms Bundle is one of those exclusives! They will not be in any of the catalogs, but make sure to check them out online.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
From the Flowers & More Designer Paper, two polka dot prints were cut 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 and two flower prints were cut 1-1/2 x 3-1/4. They were added towards the right side of the Basic White cardstock layer.
A 1 x 4 strip of Polished Pink cardstock was layered across the front.
The smaller flower from Irresistible Blooms stamp set was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Polished Pink Ink, then watercolored with Polished Pink Ink using a Water Painter. The two leaves cluster was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink and watercolored with Shaded Spruce Ink using a Water Painter. They were cut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hello from Irresistible Blooms stamp set was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink and hand-cut around the letters. It was added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The In Color Opal Rounds were added to the center of the flower and along one side for a little bling.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Next major holiday is Easter, so let’s share some Easter card ideas! I just love the Easter Bunny Stamp set. The punch is fun, too…but you can easily cut out the images like I did here!

EASTER BUNNY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of tulips Flowers & More DSP (Host) was added to a 4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock, then added to the front.
The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Vellum was cut with the Deckled Rectangles Die and adhered to the DSP (place adhesive towards the middle so it will be hidden.)
The Polished Pink cardstock was punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch and added to the vellum.
The bunny and eggs from Easter Bunny Stamp Set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, colored with Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Parakeet Party, Light Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the punched label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The grass was stamped several times along the edge of the 1/2 x 2-3/4 Shaded Spruce cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink, then hand-cut. Add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp Happy Easter on 1/2 x 3-1/2 Basic White cardstock with Polished Pink Ink. Cut ends at an angle. Adhere to front.
Add two brass butterflies to upper left corner of vellum.

CCMC758 – In the Moment

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Isn’t this a vibrant color combination? I need to remember to use it again!

IN THE MOMENT

I don’t know why, but once a new catalog like the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog comes out, I tend to forget (or not use!) the current sets in the Annual Catalog? But this is really one of my favorite sets for sending out thinking of you cards. It’s a keeper! But…do you spy some NEW items on here? There are a couple!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Coastal Cabana is embossed with the Basics (polka dot) 3D Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of In Color 6×6 Designer Paper was added across the front towards the bottom.
The Basic White was cut with the new Radiating Stitches Dies (available as an Online Exclusive!) and I LOVE the stitching detail on these! It was stamped with the In the Moment lady in Memento Black Ink towards the center.
She was colored with SU1000, Dark Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo Combo, Starry Sky Combo and Coastal Cabana Combo Stampin’ Blends, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You’re in My Thoughts from In the Moment stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 3 strip of Melon Mambo cardstock, then adhered on front.
A trio of Polished Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Go Green

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! With St. Patrick’s Day in the US just around the corner, we thought we would show off some Go Green cards! They don’t have to be St. Patrick’s Day themes…but bonus if they are. But we are featuring the color green!

LUCKY CLOVER

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two 1 x 4 pieces of Flowers & More DSP (Host) were added to the top and bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
Two 1/8 x 4 strips of Garden Green were added on top to hide the DSP seam.
A Decorative Circle was punched from Gold/Rose Gold Glimmer Paper and adhered to the front.
The four-leaf clover was stamped with Garden Green Ink and punched with the Lucky Clover punch (but it is easy enough to cut out!) It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Garden Green Ink on 7/8 x 3 Basic White and the end cut at an angle. It was layered on a 1-1/8 x 3-1/8 piece of DSP, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some green In Color Matte Dots were added to the center and on the Decorative Circle.

CS79 – Seaside Bay

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Animals! We will design our cards using this theme!

SEASIDE BAY

I think the Seaside Bay Bundle is so sweet! I love this bird image (and the crab!) I needed a bunch of Sympathy cards, so made this one more masculine looking.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of By the Bay DSP was added on top.
A 1 x 4 strip of Crumb Cake was added across the front.
The scenic pattern of By the Bay DSP was cut with the Stitched Rectangle, then stamped with the seashells along the bottom and greeting across the top in Soft Suede Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bird was stamped with Soft Suede Ink and colored with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Faux Sea Glass Shapes were added to the sand.

IM270 – Sweet Citrus

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This photo of yarns has LOTS of colors, so I picked out four of them to feature on my Sweet Citrus card.

SWEET CITRUS

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Calypso Coral was added on top.
- The 2 x 5-1/4 layer of Hello, Irresistible DSP was added towards the right side.
- A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Orchid Oasis Ink.
- The outlines of the “grapefruits” were stamped with Pale Papaya Ink and the insides with Calypso Coral Ink. They were embossed with the Sweet Citrus Embossing Folder and cut with the Sweet Citrus Dies. The leaves were stamped with stamped off Shaded Spruce Ink and cut with the dies.
- The flowers were stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink on Orchid Oasis Cardstock and cut with the Dies.
- The centers have Iridescent Rhinestones.
- Everything was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front.
