Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Connie Babbert

For the past several weeks, we have been Casing the Design Team for our Saturday Blog Hops! This week our last featured Design Team Member is ME! We are to find an “old” card on my blog that we like and use the layout or colors with a new set from the July-December Mini Catalog! This should be fun! We will show both the “old” card that inspired us, and our new version! Here’s my card that I chose from my past blog posts!

APPLE HARVEST

Here is how I redid mine using Apple Harvest! Stampin’ Up! just released the coordinating dies, too! Who doesn’t love gingham? And I love eating yellow Golden Delicious apples, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two 1-1/4 x 5-1/2 yellow Gingham Cottage Designer Paper strips were added down the right side.
A 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added at an angle on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Basic White Deckle Rectangle was cut with the Dies, then stamped with the apple cluster from Apple Harvest Stamp set in Memento Black Ink. It was colored with Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow, and Bronze Stampin’ Blends.
Two flowers from Apple Harvest were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock and cut, then added to the front.
The greeting from Apple Harvest was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 3-1/4 Daffodil Delight c/s and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two white Seasonal Sequins were added to the center of the flowers.

Creatively Simple 54 – Best Witches

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Add a Tag”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in September using that theme!

BEST WITCHES

I just couldn’t resist getting the Best Witches stamp set…I love Halloween and these witch images are just TOO cute!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Add a 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 strip of the star pattern in Black & White Designs Designer Paper Package along the bottom.
Add a 1/4 x 4 strip of Silver Foil Paper towards the top of the DSP.
Cut half of the scallop Celebrations Tag Dies from Basic Black cardstock.
Stamp the witch with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and color with Rich Razzleberry Combo, Smoky Slate Combo, SU900, Light Flirty Flamingo, Crumb Cake Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo. Add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add 6″ of Metallic Mesh Ribbon tied on the tag.
Stamp the stars diagonally across the front of the base card with Pumpkin Pie Ink.
Stamp the greeting with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Celebrations Tags banner die. Add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut the “moon” from Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Celebrations Tags circle die, add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add two Iridescent Pearls to moon.

IM245 – Sunflower Paper Pumpkin

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this a Pretty rustic sunflower wood plank decor piece? I thought the latest Paper Pumpkin Kit was a perfect choice to use.

SWEET SUNFLOWERS PAPER PUMPKIN

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- Cut one of the green fronts of the card bases to 3-3/4 x 5 and add at an angle on the base card.
- Trim out a center of the gold honeycomb layer and crumple and add to green layer with Mini Glue Dots.
- Stamp the sunflower with Crushed Curry Ink several times, repositioning to fill in the color. Stamp the outline of the center with Soft Suede Ink and the center again with Crushed Curry Ink several times.
- Stamp the outline of three leaves several times on Basic White cardstock with Soft Suede Ink and dab the centers with Soft Suede Ink. Hand-cut and add to gold honeycomb with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp thank you greeting with Soft Suede on one of the labels, add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add a small bee image with Stampin’ Dimensionals near the label.

SCARY CUTE

Love the patterns of paper behind this little haunted house image!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Parakeet Party cardstock is cut with the Stitched with Whimsy Dies.
Cut two of two different 1-1/4 square patterns of Black & White Designs Designer Paper in green stripe and stars (total of 4) and add to center towards top.
Cut haunted house with Scary Silhouettes from Basic Black cardstock with Die, add to center of squares with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp “Say Boo and Scary On” greeting with Memento Black Ink below squares.
Add a trio of Basic Black bats cut with the die to background.

CCMC732 – Cottage Wreaths

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a bright Color Challenge this week. Love that Orchid Oasis compliments so many colors in our regular color line.

COTTAGE WREATHS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Add a 2 x 5-1/2 piece of Tea Boutique DSP down the center of the front base card.
Place a 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock over the center.
Cut two layers of Cottage Wreaths from Pear Pizzazz cardstock, four sprig branches from So Saffron cardstock, two leaves and bow from Orchid Oasis cardstock with the Dies. Adhere to wreath.
Stamp greeting with Orchid Oasis on 1/2 x 1-3/4 Basic White cardstock, cut ends at an angle, adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals to wreath.
Add Iridescent Pearls to the wreath and bow.

CS53 – Christmas Lights

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pacific Point cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Stamp small snowflakes from Christmas Lights with Pacific Point Ink on 3-3/4 x 5 Pacific Point cardstock layer and stamp some snowflakes with VersaMark and emboss with Silver Embossing Powder.
Add two strips of Storybook Gnomes Designer Paper down right side.
Cut Twinkling Lights Dies large snowflake from White Glimmer Paper and adhere over DSP.
Cut Twinkling Lights Dies tag from Balmy Blue cardstock, add greeting with Pacific Point Ink.
Stamp small snowflakes with VersaMark and Silver Emboss on tag.
Tie silver Elegant Trim thru top of tag. Add tag to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this a fun apple print towel? I can see it hanging in my grandma’s kitchen!

CHEERFUL BASKET

I think this basket full of apples is SO cute!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, score at 5-1/2 and fold. Emboss the front only with the Gingham Embossing Folder.
- Add a 3-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock at an angle.
- Stamp the happiness greeting in the background of the 3-1/4 x 3-3/4 Real Red cardstock with Real Red Ink and add to front.
- Add a 1-1/4x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock across the front.
- Stamp the basket with Memento Black Ink and color with Granny Apple Green, Real Red, and Crumb Cake Stampin Blends.
- Stamp greeting with Memento Black Ink on 1-1/4 x 2-3/4 Granny Apple Green cardstock, add to front.
- Add 4 Iridescent Rhinestones to apples.

CCMC731 – Ringed with Nature

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun Sketch Challenge this week.

RINGED WITH NATURE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was sponged with Crumb Cake Ink and embossed with the Leaf Embossing Folder.
A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of green swirl Rustic Harvest DSP was added towards the right side.
A 1/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Night of Navy was added at the top.
The 7/8 x 2 piece of Cajun Craze has the greeting stamped with Versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
One of the tree rings was embossed/cut with the Tree Rings Hybrid Dies and sponged with ink.
The house was cut from the DSP and then added to the tree ring with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
