CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Animals

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Animals” as featured in the July-December Mini Catalog! Lots of sets to choose from, so I’m excited to see what our Design Team does! I chose to use the Host Only stamp set, Caroling Mice…they are SO cute!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 4 piece of Celebrate Everything (Host only) Designer Paper was added to the right side.
The caroling mice and notes were stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3-1/2 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock and colored with Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, Granny Apple Green, Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Deckled Rectangle Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Christmas Cheer was stamped with Memento Black on Granny Apple Green cardstock and punched with the Double Oval Punch. It was added to the side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of In Color Matte Dots (Tahitian Tide) were added to the background.

CCMC739 – Snowman Magic

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This time it is a fun sketch to inspire us!

SNOWMAN MAGIC

I knew right away that I wanted to use my Snowman Magic Bundle for this card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 4 piece of Snowflake 12×12 Vellum was added on top.
The largest Stylish Shapes circle was cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The next size Stylish Shapes circle was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the snowman body, face and buttons in Memento Black Ink, the snowbank in Coastal Cabana Ink, the twig arms in Early Espresso Ink. The nose was colored with the Pumpkin Pie Marker. It was adhered to the Coastal Cabana circle.
On scrap Basic White cardstock, the hat was stamped with Memento Black, the bird with Real Red Ink, the scarf with Coastal Cabana Ink and cut with the Snowman Dies, then added to the snowman body.
The greeting from Snowman Magic stamp set was stamped with Real Red on 1/2 x 2-1/2, then cut with a point end. It was layered on a 3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Real Red cardstock, cut with a point end. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Sequins & Gems were added to the circle background.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how this turned out! The Snowflake Vellum just adds so much texture and shine in the background! Go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween words

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is focusing on “Halloween words/alphabet/greetings”. This challenge is a little thought provoking, so I’m anxious to see what our Design Team does with it. The Alphabest Stamp Set with coordinating Best Label Punch makes it easy to spell out your own words! I always love EEK! on my Halloween cards, so made it on here.

ALPHABEST with ASPEN TREE DIES

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Aspen Tree Die and adhered to the base card.
EEK! letters were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock and punched with the Best Label Punch, then adhered to the bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Clear Rhinestone Jewels were colored with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, then added as eyes in the background of the trees.
Another Clear Rhinestone Jewel was added to the dot in the exclamation point.
The bats were cut from Basic Gray cardstock with the Scary Silhouette Dies and added to the top right corner.

CCMC738 – Joyful Flurry

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Hmm, interesting colors…could go SO many different ways! I decided to go with a winter color theme (although I’m definitely not ready for that type of weather!)

JOYFUL FLURRY

Many of you know that I can’t resist a snowman or snowflake stamp set! I love that some of the coordinating snowflake dies in the Joyful Flurry Bundle only partially cut thru so that you can lift the edges and create dimension. Sorry, I only used the cut-out snowflakes on here today and stamped the rest. But I’ll share those dimensional snowflakes soon!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Smoky Slate cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Basic White was stamped with the Joyful Flurry large snowflake in Pool Party Ink, the medium snowflake in Fresh Freesia Ink and the small snowflake in stamped off Smoky Slate Ink towards the bottom right corner. It was adhered to the base card.
A 1/2 x 3-1/4 strip of Fresh Freesia cardstock was added to the front.
Joyful Wishes from Joyful Flurry stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pool Party cardstock. The speckle image was randomly stamped with Pool Party Ink around the greeting. It was punched with the Handmade Tag Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two small snowflakes were cut from Silver Metallic Paper with the Frosted Flurry Dies and tucked around the tag.
A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the centers of the larger snowflakes.

IM250 – Cottage Wreaths

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge.

COTTAGE WREATHS

Here’s what I did with the inspiration following mostly the colors and rustic feel on my card.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Suede cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The front was embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder.
- A 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Celebrate Everything Designer Paper was added across the front.
- The largest Stylish Shapes Circle was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock.
- The circle was stamped with the Cottage Wreaths leafy wreath in Parakeet Party and the evergreen branches stamped with Garden Green Ink.
- Three acorns were stamped with Soft Suede Ink on scrap Very Vanilla and cut with the dies, then added to the wreath with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The wreath was cut with the dies from Cajun Craze cardstock.
- Grateful from Cottage Wreaths was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on 1/2 x 2 Garden Green cardstock, then added to the front.
- A trio of gold Seasonal Sequins were added to the wreath.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Cute Halloween

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Cute Halloween”. No secret that I love Halloween stamps…either cute or spooky!

BEST WITCHES

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Smoky Slate cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Celebrate Everything Designer Paper was added centered on the front.
The large Stylish Shapes circle was cut from Basic White and stamped with the Best Witches image in Memento Black.
The witch was colored with Daffodil Delight Combo, Smoky Slate Combo, Light Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie Combo, SU300, SU700, SU800, Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and added ot the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 1/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was added across the front.
The greeting from Best Witches was stamped with Memento Black Ink and cut with the label from Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered over the Pumpkin Pie strip.
A trio of yellow In Color Opal Rounds were added to the background.

CS58 – Soft Seedlings

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Designer Paper”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in October using that theme!

SOFT SEEDLINGS

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of Celebrate Everything DSP was added to the left side.
A 1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Real Red cardstock was added to a coordinating 1/2 x 5-1/2 Celebrate Everything DSP, then adhered on front.
The Soft Seedlings leaf image was stamped on scrap Basic White with Real Red Ink and hand-cut, then added to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Soft Seedlings was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink.
Some Simply Elegant Trim (gold) was tied in a bow and added to the leaf stem with a Mini Glue Dot.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Trees

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Fall trees”. The colors of the trees in Ohio during the fall are so gorgeous…especially when the sun is shining and highlighting the bright colors even more! Are you wondering what stamp set I used to make these trees?

PERCHED IN A TREE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was adhered on top.
On the 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Pool Party cardstock:
- Stamp the branch from Perched on a Tree stamp set three times at staggering heights with Early Espresso Ink for the trunks.
- Color the trunks with SU600 Stampin’ Blends.
- Using the solid splatter image with light colors first for the top of the trees. I used Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie.
- Using the open splatter image, add Cherry Cobbler and mix in the above colors to fill in as desired.
With a 1-1/4 x 3-7/8 piece of Crumb Cake, repeat with the splatter technique, tear off the top and add to the bottom of the trees, adhere finished Pool Party panel to Pumpkin Pie layer on base card.
On 7/8 x 3-1/2 Basic White cardstock, stamp Perched in a Tree greeting with Early Espresso Ink, cut flag end and adhere to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add Champagne Rhinestones randomly to the leaves.
