Saturday Blog Hop – O Christmas Tree

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop, and we will be inspired by Christmas songs over the next few weeks! Our third Christmas Carol is “O Christmas Tree”…cards that have Christmas trees on them. Stampin’ Up! has a variety of different stamps with trees, so it will be interesting to see what everyone uses!

PERFECTLY PLAID & PINE TREE PUNCH

I haven’t used my Perfectly Plaid stamp set much at all, but I love the Pine Tree Punch! That is all that I used on this card, too, along with the greeting! And, although it looks like I just punched a trio of the plaid trees, the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper is actually UNDER the Real Red and the Real Red cardstock is punched! I also wondered what I could use for the tops of the trees…they looked a little plain, so I pulled out the metallic Designer Elements and used the Gold ones…perfect! The design on them actually looks like a starburst and the gold pulls out the gold metallic in the designer paper! Score!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 panel of Real Red cardstock is punched three times with the Pine Tree Punch. TIP: Punch out three trees from scrap paper and temporarily adhere them on the Real Red to line them up evenly. Punch using the scrap trees as a template.
The 2-1/2 x 5-1/5 piece of green plaid Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper is added under the Real Red with Stampin’ Dimensionals. It is placed on the front of the Crumb Cake.
The greeting was stamped with Real Red Ink.
The trio of Designer Elements were added to the top of the trees.
A piece of Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the center tree Element with a Mini Glue Dot.

CCMC591 – So Many Stars

It’s Thursday and you know what that means! Time for a Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It’s a popular color combination this year…featured in the Brightly Gleaming Designer Paper (sorry, it is sold out for the season!) But, you see these colors all over in holiday decorating!

I decided to use the So Many Stars Bundle on my card…I love those stitched stars in so many shapes and sizes!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2 x 5-1/2 strip of Brightly Gleaming star print DSP was added to the right side.
A 3/4 x 5 piece of striped Brightly Gleaming DSP was added under a 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.
The O Holy Night greeting in So Many Stars stamp set was stamped at the top with Night of Navy Ink.
The large star was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on scrap Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out with the coordinating Stitched Star.
A smaller filigree star was cut from Pretty Peacock cardstock and a tiny star from Copper Foil.
The medium sold Stitched Star was cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock. All were assembled and added to the Very Vanilla panel, which was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Copper Star Element was added to the center of the Pretty Peacock star and a trio of Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background!

IM101 – Christmas Gleaming

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a brightly decorated Christmas present!

Here’s what I came up with using the inspiration package…

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Granny Apple Green, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, the speckle stamp from Peaceful Boughs was stamped randomly with Real Red Ink all across the background.
- The Real Red Ribbon was wrapped around the Whisper White layer like a present, and tied in a bow on the front.
- The greeting from Christmas Gleaming stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Real Red cardstock and punched with the Timeless Label Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The holly from Christmas Gleaming stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with Granny Apple Green and Light Mossy Meadow Blends for the leaves and Light Poppy Parade and Light Cherry Cobbler for the berries.
- The holly was covered with Shimmery Crystal Effects and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals when dry.

Saturday Blog Hop – Holly Jolly Christmas

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop and we will be inspired by Christmas Carols over the next few weeks! Our second Christmas Carol is “Holly Jolly Christmas”…cards that “deck the halls” with boughs of evergreens, boughs and wreaths this week!

YUMMY CHRISTMAS & PEACEFUL BOUGHS

I combined a couple stamp sets this week to create my card! I liked the smaller size of the holly in Yummy Christmas, and the speckles and greeting from Peaceful Boughs!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The holly image from Yummy Christmas stamp set was stamped randomly in the background on a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, colored with Light & Dark Shaded Spruce and Light & Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
The speckle stamp from Peaceful Boughs was stamped randomly in the background with Delicata Golden Glitz Ink.
The Gold Metallic Ribbon was wrapped around and tied in the bow on the front.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Crumb Cake and cut with the Beautiful Boughs Dies (I love those labels!) It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots were added to the greeting label!

CCC590 Holiday Haul

Happy Thursday! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! This week we have a fun sketch for you to try! I used the host only set, Holiday Haul, for my card today!

Since the sketch is for inspiration only, I reversed the circle and the rectangle on my card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 2 x 5-1/2 strip of red snow flurries print in Let it Snow Designer Paper.
On top is a 1-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Coastal Cabana snow print.
On top of that is the third piece, a 1 x 5 piece of the stripe in Let it Snow DSP. I love how all three coordinate so well!
The Stitched Rectangle is cut from Whisper White and the truck stamped with Real Red Ink. The wheels were colored with the Light Basic Black Blends. The trailer was stamped with Memento Black Ink, the present with Real Red in the trailer and colored with Light Bermuda Bay Blends for the bow. The bag of presents was stamped with Crumb Cake Ink and the packages colored with Light Bermuda Bay and Dark Real Red Blends. The window was colored with Light Pool Party Blends. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Very Merry from Itty Bitty Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the 1″ Circle punch, then layered on the 1-3/8 Scallop Circle Punch from Real Red cardstock.
A trio of Red Rhinestones were added to the gift, the greeting and below the truck in the background for a little sparkle!

Saturday Blog Hop – “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop and we will be inspired by Christmas Carols over the next few weeks! Our first Christmas Carol is “Santa Claus is Coming To Town”. We could use Santa, Elves, Gingerbread, Penguins…any Christmas type character! I decided to use one of the Gingerbread houses that I colored a while ago but hadn’t converted to a card!

YUMMY CHRISTMAS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Snowflakes from Snowman Season stamp set were stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink and Coastal Cabana Inks in the background of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Whisper White was torn across the top and added to the bottom of the Pool Party.
I stamped the gingerbread house and two trees from Yummy Christmas stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, colored them with Stampin’ Blends and cut with the Cuckoo Clock dies.
Ice Stampin’ Glitter was added with Monoadhesive Glue along the snow banks, the trees, the top of the house and around the doors and windows. LOVE how much this adds to the whimsical feel of the card.
The greeting from Yummy Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink and Real Red Ink in the upper right corner.

CCMC589 – #Elfie

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here in the United States! Hope your holiday is filled with your favorite treats! I can’t wait to have some of my mom’s stuffing…yum!

AND, it’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge…it’s a fun color challenge this week to get us ready for the Christmas holidays!

This color combination inspired me to pull out my #Elfie set again…such a CUTE elf set, I think!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is embossed with the Hammered Metal Embossing folder.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Let it Snow Designer Paper is added down the left side (I LOVE this stripe!)
A 3/4 x 3 piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock is cut at an angle on the left side, then added on the front.
A Holiday Hello from #elfie is stamped with Memento Black on scrap Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Classic Label punch. I shortened it slightly by putting it back in.
The elf from #elfie was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, colored with Stampin’ Blends, and hand-cut, removing the bottom “present”. He is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Wink of Stella was added to his pom-poms and the ornament for a little sparkle.
A trio of red Toile Glitter Enamel Dots were added on front.
