SUO110 Endless Wishes

It’s time for another SUO Challenge…this time our theme is Marker Fun! The Design Team came up with lots of different ideas for using markers. We could use Stampin’ Up! regular markers, Blendabilities, make backgrounds or whatever! I chose to use my regular Stampin’ Write Markers and make up a fun background using Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette and my acrylic blocks!

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Pink Pirouette cardstock, folded in half.
On the 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Whisper White, I used Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette Markers and my Acrylic Blocks misted with water to create the background (sorry, the pink is hard to see online.)
On top I used Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette and Silver Ink pads to stamp the Endless Wishes snowflakes randomly on the background.
I layered this Whisper White on a 2 3/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock.
The Silver Satin Ribbon is wrapped to the back and adhered, then adhered to the front of the Pink Pirouette base.
I cut the Snowflake from the Snowflake Card Thinlet from Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper. In the center is a Wisteria Wonder Candy Dot. I adhere it to the card with Mini Glue Dots.
Finally, I stamped the Christmas greeting from Endless Wishes with Tuxedo Black ink in the lower right corner.

SUO97 Cycle Celebrations

It’s a new challenge over on SUO Challenges! Topic this week is Something Delicious! What a FUN theme! But, when I went looking for food type stamps that weren’t retired or out-of-stock, it was a little more challenging than I originally thought! I ended up pulling out a stamp set that I haven’t used much, Cycle Celebrations. In fact, only the bicycle had even been put together! So…I grabbed the soda bottle and got it ready to go!

Here are the details…it went together very quickly!

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Real Red, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Whisper White.
On top of that I added a 2 x 4 piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock, first wrapping the Gold Sequin Trim around to the back and securing.
The soda bottle was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White. I used a blender pen to remove the Chocolate Chip ink from the heart and filled it with Real Red Marker. Then I added Real Red to the straw.
I cut the image out with the Oval Framelits and placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added more sequins to the front (fizzy bubbles???)
Finally, I tied the Early Espresso Bakers Twine into a bow on the Designer Button and added it to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

SUOC81 Warmth & Wonder

Our Stampin Up Only challenge this time is using a Masculine Theme on our project. Hmmm…I've done a lot with Wetlands lately so didn't want to use it. AND, I wanted to challenge myself to use a "Christmas" set in a non-traditional way. So…I love the small deer in the Hostess set, Warmth & Wonder. I converted it into a card for my father-in-law's birthday later this week! I think it works, how about you?

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Naturals White cardstock, folded in half.
I added a 5 x 3 3/4 layer of Chocolate Chip, embossed with the Pretty Prints folder.
I LOVE the birch paper in the Tablescape Simply Created Kit, so cut a Deco Label from that DSP…so much texture in it!
I added a 1 x 4 piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper across the center.
I stamped the deer from Warmth & Wonder with Chocolate Chip ink on Naturals White, then embossed with the Oval Frame Embossing folder. I hand-cut it out. Then I used my Chocolate Chip marker to color the tops of the embossed dots around the oval.
I stamped Happy Birthday from Express Yourself in Chocolate Chip on a 1/2" strip of Naturals cardstock, then cut flag ends.

SUOC74 – Flower Shop

It's time for another SUO Challenge (SUOC74). This time our theme is Get Well! I like having Get Well cards on hand so I can pop them in the mail when I hear that someone is sick or hurt! Of course, I had to pull out my fabulous set, Flower Shop, to use! Really, I have purchased more than this one set from the main catalog! lol! But…I love flowers and love the versatility of this set with a matching punch!

I also had some "starts" sitting around my desk, so decided to use a few of them up!

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 of Very Vanilla, folded in half to make the card.
I cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic Black, then embossed it with the Beautifully Baroque folder…first time I've used it!
I added a 2 1/2 x 4 piece of Modern Medley Designer Paper (already a scrap cut!) and adhered it to the bottom of the Basic Black.
I wrapped the 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon around and secured it in the back.
I punched the larger Blossom Punch from Real Red cardstock. Then stamped the Flower Shop image in Real Red on Very Vanilla and punched with the Pansy Punch. I added the two together with Stampin' Dimensionals. In the center is a Large Rhinestone Jewel.
The flower is placed on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the greeting from Sassy Salutations in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla and then punched with the Artisan Label punch. It is tucked under the flower a little with Stampin' DImensionals.

Love the pop of red with the Black and Vanilla…very classy and pretty Get Well card to cheer someone up! Make sure to check out the rest of the Design Team over on SUO Challenges to see what they did with the Get Well theme! I'm sure they are fabulous!

SUO Challenge – Cross My Heart

Well, back to Valentine's for me. Today we have a CAS (Clean & Simple) Valentine card challenge for you over on SUO Challenges! Here is my card. I love the hanging heart!

The details:

The base card is Very Vanilla, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, folded in half.
The Raspberry Ripple layer is 4 x 5 1/4. The More Amore Designer Paper is 2 x 5 1/4 across the bottom.
I added some Sale-A-Bration Pool Party Sycamore Street Ribbon to hide the seam.
I stamped the Scallop Heart from Hearts a Flutter and cut it with the Framelits.
The Primrose Petals is punched with the Full Heart Punch and a 3/4" Circle punched out of the center of it. The Full Heart is popped up on the Scallop Heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.
In the center of the circle is the Small Heart Punch from Red Glimmer Paper.
I added a "hanger" of Pool Party Ribbon and added a bow from the same ribbon, so the heart is hanging down.
Finally, I added the Cross My Heart greeting, partially tucked under the heart and stamped with Raspberry Ripple on Very Vanilla, then cut the flag end.

Another Valentine that I like. Is it Clean & Simple? Maybe a little over…but pretty close, I think. Check out the rest of the Design Team over on SUO Challenges.

SUOC61 – Ornament Keepsakes

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday filled with family and friends…relaxing (or not!)

Today on SUO Challenges, our theme was "Everything Blue". Since today is a special Holiday, I decided to do ONE more Christmas card. Make sure you check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on SUO Challenges.

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11, folded in half.
I added a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 layer of Island Indigo below a layer of 3 3/4 x 5 of Whisper White.
There is a 1 1/2 x 3 3/4 strip of Pool Party Patterns Designer Paper and I stamped Noel from Greetings of the Season in Island Indigo on top.
I stamped the ornament from Ornament Keepsakes in Island Indigo and the center with Pool Party and cut them with the Holiday Colllection framelits. I cut a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper for the "hanger", then added Pool Party Bakers Twine in a bow at the top…plus a tiny strip of Pool Party cardstock for the thread.
I cut the two smallest snowflakes from Snow Flurry with Silver Glimmer Paper and layered together, then added a 3/8" Circle of Island Indigo and a large Rhinestone in the center.

Funny story, I was actually inspired by a hand towel that I saw with a similar design. I thought the colors were beautiful and loved the combination of ornament and snowflake! See…it pays to pay attention while you are shopping for Christmas gifts!
