I’m so glad the theme this week on SUO Challenges is Wintertime because I realized that I hadn’t posted my personal Christmas Card for this year! The only difference between mine and this one is the greeting…I did use the Sending you a Flurry of Warm Christmas Wishes from Flurry of Wishes stamp set on mine. For this challenge, I switched it out to the Let it Snow greeting in Snow Place! Isn’t my snowman cute? Everyone liked him!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cherry Cobbler, folded in half.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Smoky Slate was embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and adhered to the front.
The snowman was cut with the 1-3/4 and 2-1/2 Circle Punches from Whisper White. The buttons were from Snow Place stamp set and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
The scarf is a 1/4 x 4-1/2″ strip of Merry Moments DSP, cut with two tails.
The snowflake from Flurry of Wishes was stamped with Real Red and punched with the Snow Flurry Punch and added to the scarf with a Stampin’ Dimensionals. Also has a rhinestone in the center.
The eyes are 1/4″ Basic Black cardstock circles highlighted with the White Gel Pen.
The nose is the tip of the Tree Punch from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
The hat is a 1″ square of Basic Black trimmed and 1/8″ strips of Basic Black for the brim and Merry Moments DSP for the hat band. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, too.
Finally, Let it Snow from Snow Place was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Flurry of Wishes Snowman

I know you’ve seen several versions of this snowman online, but thought I’d also share mine! I love the punched snowflakes along the scarf area! I originally thought this might be my Christmas Card this year, but changed my mind…can’t wait to show you what I did. Have to get them mailed out first! lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sky, stamped with the Flurry of Wishes greeting in Tuxedo Black Ink.
The snowman head is a 2-1/2 Circle punched from Whisper White cardstock and cut a little more than half.
The scarf is two pieces, a 3/8″ x 2-1/2″ strip of Silver Glimmer Paper and a punched Word Window from Silver Glimmer Paper.
The nose is the tip of the Tree Punch cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the eyes are 1/4″ Circle from Basic Black and highlighted with a White Gel Pen.
The double snowflake in the Flurry of Wishes stamp set was stamped with Soft Sky on scrap Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Softly Falling Punch. Rhinestones were added to the center of the snowflakes and they were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

That’s it…but isn’t he just the sweetest? Love his little face! lol!

CCMC383 Flurry of Wishes

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I have SO many things to be grateful for and one of them is all my blog followers! Thank you for stopping by and visiting and leaving such sweet comments! Makes it all worth while!

Although it is Thanksgiving, I chose not to do a fall card this week for my Thursday Create with Connie and Mary Challenge card! I had several pieces of this card sitting on my desk and they all kind of fell together to make the card, especially since it is a CAS design sketch! lol! Love it when that happens!

Here’s my card, I love the colors of Red and Crumb Cake together. And that Red Foil just makes it a WOW! The larger snowflake is also cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (on sale this week!)

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red, folded in half.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.
The Flower Medallion was punched from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The snowflake from Flurry of Wishes was stamped with Real Red and punched with the Snow Flurry Punch, the added to the larger snowflake with Tombow Multipurpose glue (I find that the best to adhere to the glimmer paper!) In the center is a large Rhinestone Jewel.
Finally, fa la la from Seasonal Frame Thinlets and the Red Foil Paper and added to the front with the Tombow Multipurpose Glue, too.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Gold and White

Oh my…what a busy few days it has been! It is already time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week is Gold and White Christmas cards! I went SUPER easy with this one, but the Gold Metallic Foil Cardstock just makes it shine! And I could NOT get a good picture! You probably just came from Deb Currier’s blog and her fancy card!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black is on top.
The Gold Metallic Foil Cardstock is cut 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 and stamped with the largest snowflake in Black Stazon and the greeting in Black Stazon.
The middle snowflake was stamped with Versamark on Whisper White, then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and punched with the Flower Medallion Punch.
The smaller snowflake was stamped on Gold Metallic Paper with Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, then punched with the Snow Flurry Punch.
The layers of snowflakes are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the center is a Perfect White Accent.

Flurry of Wishes

I realized that I hadn’t shown I swap card I did for the Stampin’ Up! Grand Achievers group a couple months ago! I filled in a second spot at the last minute for someone who had dropped out, so they needed to be quick! Of course, my new snowflake stamp set, Flurry of Wishes, with matching punch came to the rescue. Always my biggest critic, but I think if I did this card again, I’m use the darker Bermuda Bay for the background snowflake and the lighter one in front!

Here are the details on this CAS card, easy to mass-produce for the holidays!

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Sky, folded in half.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, the middle snowflake from Flurry of Wishes was stamped with Soft Sky Ink and the greeting from the same set with Bermuda Bay Ink.
A 3/8 x 5 strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper was added across the center of the snowflake.
The snowflake duo was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on scrap Whisper White, then punched with the Snow Flurry Punch, using only the larger size. It was adhered over the larger one with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the center of the snowflake is a Perfect White Accent.

Yep! That’s it!!! Really! I think it is so pretty and definitely sparkles in real life!

Flurry of Wishes

Wow! I can’t believe it is November already…and several days in! I was away at a long weekend stamping retreat and had my girlfriends here…so I feel like I’m in a time warp that I just woke up back in the real world! lol! We had SO much fun…can’t wait to do it again in the spring!

But…today I am sharing a special card that we did in my Christmas Card class last month. I love all the gold and glimmer on here using the snowflake set, Flurry of Wishes! Isn’t it pretty?

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Suede cardstock, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla was embossed with the Boughs and Berries folder.
Merry Christmas from Flurry of Wishes was stamped with Soft Suede in the lower right corner.
The larger sized Gold Doily was added to the front on the left side and a strip of Gold Glimmer Ribbon was placed across it.
The medium snowflake was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and punched with the Flower Medallion punch (on sale this week!), then adhered over the Gold Doily and Gold Glimmer Ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The small snowflake duo was stamped with Versamark on Gold Foil Cardstock, embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, then punched with the Snow Flurry Punch. Just the larger sized one was popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional on top of the medium snowflake.
A Large Pearl was added to the center of the snowflake for just a little more elegance!

Isn’t that SO pretty? I love the Soft Suede along with Gold touches…really is VERY elegant and pretty.

August Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop

Woohoo! It’s time for the Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop! I’m so excited to see what the other achievers have come up with this month because we are showing off projects from the new HOLIDAY CATALOG!!! Are you as excited about this catalog as I am? Lots of great new stamp sets and accessories…going to be an exciting next few months in my classes!

So…I had a REALLY hard time narrowing down what set I wanted to use. I finally settled on Flurry of Wishes (of course, I ALWAYS need more snowflake sets) and doing a new-to-me technique called Inlaid Words. I showed this technique at my technique class this month and they loved it! Not only is the stamp set new, so is the background embossing folder, Softly Falling, and the “snow” Seasonal Frame Thinlets, plus the fun little wood Snowflake Element…I colored mine with White Craft Ink.

So here are the details on how to recreate this card:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Marina Mist cardstock is embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder (I can’t decide which way I like it better…more snow at the bottom or more coming down from the top!)
Across the front is a 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of the silver pattern in Neutrals Collection Designer Paper Stack…then a 1/4″ x 5-1/4 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper under it.
The Flurry of Wishes large snowflake was stamped on Whisper White with Marina Mist Ink, then cut with the Circles Framelit. At the same time, I cut the word “snow” from Seasonal Frame Thinlets across the center…make sure to save the little pieces from the curly cues! I cut the word again from Marina Mist cardstock.
The large circle snowflake was placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then I used the WONDERFUL Fine Tip Glue Pen to glue the Marina Mist word snow inside the opening to the base of the card. Adhere in the little curly cue pieces you kept from the snowflake one.

Finally, I colored the wood Snowflake Element with White Craft Ink and my sponge dauber…let dry…add a large Rhinestone in the center and add to the card with a small Stampin’ Dimensional in the center. I also added Rhinestones in the snowflake ends.
