CS224 – Endless Love

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “All You Need is Love”! Could be love at Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Wedding, Anniversary…so many ways to express love!

ENDLESS LOVE

I’m using one of the upcoming love sets, Endless Love for today’s card! There are greetings for every day, wedding, and Valentine’s, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer or Real Red cardstock is on top.
The Made with Love Designer paper was cut to the following and adhered on front leaving approx. 1/8″ margins:
- Stripe: 1-1/4 x 3-3/4
- XOs: 2-5/8 x 3-5/8
- Arrows: 1 x 3-5/8
TIP: Cut three 3-3/4 x 5 DSP pieces in different patterns, swap the designs and make three cards at once!
The heart tag was cut with the Endless Love Die from Flirty Flamingo cardstock and stamped with the string heart with Real Red Ink.
Some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow at the top of the tag and then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hugs & Kisses was stamped with Real Red on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label die. It was added to the heart tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two pink Loose Valentine’s hearts were added to cover the tag hole.

CS70 – Love Cats

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…we are kicking off the new year with the theme of “LOVE”. Time to get ready for Valentine’s Day, right? We’ll create a simple card every Tuesday in January using that theme!

LOVE CATS

I just HAD to purchase the Love Cats stamp set…why? I LOVE cats!!! I seriously would love to get another one! Our Bleach has been gone for over 5 years now.

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 MInt Macaron cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Country Floral Lane Designer Paper was added on top.
A 3 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White was cut towards the top with the Stylish Shapes square. The greeting was stamped with Real Red Ink on the bottom portion. It was added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The cat was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White and hand-cut, then added to the “window”. The eyes were colored with Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
Three of the small hearts were punched from Real Red using the Country Bouquet Punch. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Small Heart Pearls were added to the punched hearts.

CCMC545 Be Mine Stitched Framelits

Happy Thursday! We have another Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge for you this week…and the colors are just in time for Valentine’s Day cards! Although…our Challenge team could use the colors for ANY card (and they did!)

BE MINE STITCHED FRAMELITS

I ended up using all pieces that were laying on my desk that I had started for other projects! I love when I can use them up! After I finished the card, I realized that I hadn’t done ANY stamping on the front! Oh well…sometimes the diecuts are just SO much fun to use all by themselves!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lovely Lipstick cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White was embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder.
Across the front is the 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of All My Love Designer Paper.
The 1/8″ All My Love Flirty Flamingo Ribbon is wrapped around the Whisper White panel and tied in a bow towards the left side.
The large stitched heart was cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.
The two smaller scalloped stitched diecuts were cut from the All My Love DSP and added to the larger heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some extra hearts left from cutting the long outline row of hearts were added around the larger heart.
Love was cut from Lovely Lipstick cardstock using the Well Written Framelit Dies…I love all the options with this huge bundle of words and greetings!

Isn’t that sweet??? I love these Be Mine Stitched Framelits with all the different sized hearts, especially the small scallop stitched hearts like I used in the middle of the larger one! SUOC167 Sealed with Love

The theme this time on SUO Challenges is “Time for Valentines”. Appropriate time of year! Here’s one I made up with my favorite Valentine colors, Pool Party, Whisper White and Real Red!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party Cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, the 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Sending Love Designer Paper was added.
A piece of Sending Love 1/8″ Real Red Ribbon hides the seam and is adhered in the back.
The swash from Sealed with Love stamp set was stamped twice with Pool Party Ink.
The Hello Love greeting was stamped over top with Memento Black Ink.
The 3D Heart was cut from Real Red and the slotted heart from Basic Black cardstocks and adhered to the front. The arrow was cut from Pool Party cardstock and adhered behind the 3D heart.
The floral heart was stamped with Real Red and cut with the 3D heart, then the outer portion cut off. It is adhered to the solid Real Red 3D heart.
The lips were stamped with Real Red.

CCMC387 Bloomin’ Love

We’re back! Last time it was nice to have the challenge run two weeks…and the challenge team enjoyed a little break! But…it’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge…a fun sketch!

Although it looks square, I switched mine out to the normal rectangle style to make it easier to mail and used the beautiful Bloomin’ Love stamp set!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, folded in half to form the card.
The 2 x 5 piece of Blushing Bride cardstock was embossed with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder and punched with the Triple Banner Punch.
A piece of 1-1/2 x 4-1/2 and a smaller 1-1/4 x 2-1/2 strip of Love Blossoms Designer Paper were also punched with the Triple Banner Punch and added on top according to the sketch.
A 1/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper was placed across the top.
My Valentine from Bloomin’ Love was stamped with Rose Red on Whisper White and punched with the 2″ Circle Punch, then added to a 2-3/8 Scallop Circle punched from Rose Red and pierced the scallops with the Piercing Tool. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The two flowers were stamped with Blushing Bride and Rose Red Ink, cut out and added to the front with the string of pearls from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit added under the flowers. One of the pearls was also glued to the center of the flower.

Gosh…it has been a few months since I’ve been able to participate in the monthly Control Freaks Blog Hop! Just been really busy at that scheduled time of the month so couldn’t swing getting any extra projects done! But, I’m excited to be back and able to participate! The theme this month is the new goodies from the Occasions or Sale-a-Bration catalogs! I decided to use a set that has been sitting on my desk the past few days, Bloomin’ Love! You’ve probably just come from Debbie Henderson’s blog...always love her projects, don’t you?

I must admit…I’m ready to move on from making Christmas cards! Who doesn’t love some sweet Valentines? I love the flowery set, Bloomin’ Love in the Occasions Catalog…and the yummy Love Blossoms Designer Paper and coordinating Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit! So much FUN stuff!

First up is this heart apothecary jar that I picked up at the M*** store AGES ago…in fact, I was with Mary Brown when I bought it and shipped it back with me from Palm Springs, California after Leadership that year. I have used the clear ones that I bought…but this red one has been sitting on my shelf so I pulled it out to use!

A few details:

The flowery heart from Bloomin’ Love is stamped with Blushing Bride on Whisper White and hand cut, then adhered to the gold heart doily in the Love Blossoms Kit with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some gold sequins in the kit were added to the flowers.
The banner was stamped with Real Red and the words with Tuxedo Black ink, and hand cut, then added across the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The entire heart was added to the front of the glass apothecary jar with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Blushing Bride Satin Ribbon from the Kit was tied around the neck and some of the string pearls and Blushing Bride Sequin Trim was tied in the knot of the ribbon.
The floral image from Bloomin’ Love was stamped with Garden Green, then punched with a 1-1/4″ Circle and adhered to the cork. The outline flower was stamped with Tuxedo Black on Blushing Bride and adhered over the floral image with a Stampin’ Dimensional. A white sequin from the Kit was added to the center.

Details on the card:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White.
Along the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Blushing Bride, a 1-3/4 x 4 strip of Love Blossoms DSP was added to the bottom. Then placed on the front of the base.
A 1/4″ x 4 strip of Gold Glimmer Paper hides the seam.
The Bloomin’ Heart Thinlet Die was cut from Rose Red cardstock and added to the top of the card.
White sequins from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit were added to the Heart diecut.
The banner was stamped with Tuxedo Black and greeting with Rose Red, handcut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Blushing Bride Satin Ribbon in the kit was tied in a knot with the string pearls and Blushing Bride Sequin Trim tied in it. It is added to the banner with Mini Glue Dots.

Here’s the duo together! Love how this little gift ensemble came out! Fill the apothecary jar with candies or bath salts for a nice little gift!

CCMC337 Snuggles and Smooches again

It’s time for another Thursday Challenge by the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge Team! It’s a fun sketch challenge this week! Grab your stamps and play along!

And here is my card:

Yes! I used the cute Snuggles and Smooches stamp set again! Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Real Red, folded in half
On the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Basic Black, I stamped the smaller swirl flower with White Craft Ink. Love that chalkboard look!
Along the right side, I added a 1 1/2 x 4 piece of Stacked with Love Designer Paper.
On the 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 piece of Whisper White, I stamped LOVE with Tuxedo Black Ink in the lower left corner. I stamped the heart on Real Red and punched with the Sweetheart Punch.
I wrapped Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around the Whisper White 3 times and adhered in the back. The heart was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped Oodles of with Tuxedo Black on scrap Whisper White and cut around it, then added it to the heart.
Finally, I used some Gold Sequin Trim hanging down from the heart.

Snuggles and Smooches

I was thrilled to see Stampin’ Up! come out with this new photopolymer stamp set, Snuggles and Smooches ($15.95 US)! Too cute…makes me think of my grandkids cause I love their snuggles and smooches! lol! I grabbed it this morning and made up a couple cards real quick!

Here’s one that I made…you’ll have to come back tomorrow to see the other one. This one I had some scraps of Stacked with Love Paper Pack sitting on my desk from making Valentine Kits, so I thought I’d use a few of them up.

The details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White, folded in half.
The Real Red layer is 3 3/4 x 5.
I added 3/4″ strips of Stacked with Love Designer Paper Stack along the bottom.
Snuggles and Smooches was stamped with Calypso Coral and punched with the 2″ Circle Punch, then layered on the 2 3/8 Scallop Circle Punch piece of Basic Black. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
LOVE was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink Pad on the left side.
I added a couple Rhinestone jewel accents and a punched Red Glimmer Heart for some bling!

Super easy and fun! Oh, and I used an old Create with Connie and Mary sketch for my layout!
