CCMC390 Grateful Bunch

It’s Thursday…time for the weekly Create with Connie and Mary challenge. It’s a fun, bright color challenge this time! Grab your stamps and play along!

Here’s what I did…a CAS design using Grateful Bunch.

Here are the details

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
3/4 x 5-1/4 and 1/2 x 5-1/4 strips of Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon are added towards the left side.
A 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Real Red from the Brights Designer Paper Stack is slid into the back of the 2-1/2 Circle Punch and cut, then added over the stripes.
A 2″ Circle is punched from Whisper White and added to the DSP
The large flower in Grateful Bunch is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Lost Lagoon and cut out. It is added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The middle flower is stamped with Real Red Ink on Whisper White, colored with Hello Honey Marker and punched with the Blossom Bunch Punch. It is added to the larger flower with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
In the center of the flower is Perfect White Accent.
The greeting from Grateful Bunch is stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on the front.

It’s time again for the Tour de Freaks! Our theme this month is “Love is in the Air”…very appropriate for Valentine’s Day that is coming up soon! You’ve probably just come from Wendy Weixler’s blog, her projects are darling, aren’t they? Click at the bottom to continue around the tour…there are 11 stops this time.

I chose to use Love Blossoms Suite of products for my projects since they are definitely great colors for Valentine’s Day. I’ve been wanting to do a little banner for my lamp shade. The lamp sits on a table that is visible when my customers come down the stairs and I try to change out the tablescape each holiday. Here’s a closeup.

Here it is draped on the lamp shade (sorry I can’t show you the entire Valentine tablescape…it is so cute, but it has some private class items on it!)

Some quick details:

The Thick Whisper White background on the banners is 2 x 4-1/4, punched with the Triple Banner Punch. The Love Blossoms layer on top is 1-3/4 x 4, punched with the Triple Banner Punch, then adhered together with the White Baker’s Twine sandwiched between the two layers.
On three of the banners, Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper was punched with the Sweetheart Punch and the Little Letters Thinlet Dies “L, V, and E” were die-cut from Red Metallic Paper and adhered with Tombow Multipurpose Glue to the Glimmer Paper hearts.
On the fourth banner, a 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Glimmer Paper was punched with the Triple Banner Punch and adhered down the center. The heart from Bloomin’ Love stamp set was stamped with Real Red on Blushing Bride cardstock and hand-cut. Over top the Be Mine was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink in the center of the Garden Green banner and hand-cut. It was placed on the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Plus, the letter “O” from the Red Metallic Paper was added on the banner.
Three of the larger outline flowers were stamped with Tuxedo Black on Real Red and three of the smaller outline flowers were stamped with Tuxedo Black on Blushing Bride. The larger outline flower was also stamped twice more with Tuxedo Black on Garden Green and the petals cut to form leaves on three of the banners.
Small flowers were added to the larger flowers with Mini Glue Dots, and the leaves tucked under them. Perfect White Accents were added to the center of the flowers.
The Clear Wink of Stella was added to all the petals for lots of shimmer!

That’s it for the banner! The leftover piece of 2 x 3-1/2 Red Metallic Paper that I cut out the letters, I used for my card.

The base card is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red, folded in half.
A 4 x 5-1/2 layer of Whisper White was added to the top.
A 2 x 3-3/4 strip of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper was added on the left side.
The Red Metallic Love was adhered to a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Love Blossoms Designer Paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then adhered to the cardfront.
The heart from Bloomin’ Love was stamped with Real Red on Blushing Bride and hand-cut.
The large outline flower was stamped with Real Red on Whisper White and cut out, the small outline flower was stamped with Real Red on Blushing Bride and adhered together with a Perfect White Accent in the center.

Lots of shine and glimmer on here!

SUOC140 Valentine

It’s time for the SUO Challenge and the theme is Valentine projects! I decided to go with a masculine color scheme for my Valentine…I may give it to my husband this year! I used the Going Global suite of products…the stamp set, the World Traveler Folder and punched hearts from the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mossy Meadow folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla is embossed with the World Traveler Embossing Folder.
Across the bottom is a 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Gold Metallic Paper.
Hearts were punched with the Sweetheart Punch from the Going Global Designer Paper Stack and adhered across the front.
The Going Global Stamp set heart image was stamped with Tuxedo Black on Hello Honey and punched with the Sweetheart Punch, too. On the back, several loops of Gold Metallic Thread was adhered, then the heart popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on front. Love that little bit of glitter the thread provides!

Clean and simple design that makes a great masculine card, I think! Make sure to check out what the rest of the SUO Challenge Design Team did this week…the are fabulous ideas!

I went for a CAS masculine card for mine this week! For some reason I never have enough masculine cards!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Gray cardstock, folded in half.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, stamped with You Send Me Soaring in the upper right corner.
A 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Going Places Designer Paper is placed across the front.
A 1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper was added at the bottom of the DSP.
The plane from Sky is the Limit is stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut. It is placed on a 2-1/2 punched circle of Basic Black, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Botanical Blooms

Remember the 2016 Calendar that I made last week using Botanical Blooms and Botanical Builder Framelits? I had a few extra blossoms sitting on my desk, so I made up this card! We can always use a Woohoo card, right??? lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Hello Honey, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
In the center is a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 square of Botanical Gardens Designer Paper.
Woohoo for You from All Boxed Up stamp set was stamped with Basic Black Archival and punched with the 1-3/4 Circle Punch and adhered to the center of the DSP.
The flowers were cut from Cajun Craze, Hello Honey and Whisper White cardstock with the Botanical Builder Framelits.
The centers were stamped with Hello Honey on Whisper White cardstock and Basic Black Archival on Hello Honey cardstock, then punched with the Owl Punch (eye).
The leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on Pear Pizzazz and then cut with the Botanical Builder Framelits.
The larger flowers were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the smaller flowers and leaves tucked around them.
Pearls were added to the centers of the flowers for some bling.

LOVE it!!! So fresh looking! I have a class coming up soon using this product suite and I can’t wait for my customers to see the ideas!

Another Bear Hugs

Today’s the day!!! The Create with Connie and Mary January Mini Session is now open and you can see all the great projects this month! I already shared the one Bear Hugs card I did for the Incentive Trip Achievers Swap last month. If you missed it, you can see it HERE! And, this is the one I did for the Control Freaks Swappers last month! I love the colors in the It’s My Party Designer Paper Pack…you are going to get sick of me saying and using it!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Melon Mambo, folded in half.
Along the left edge is a 1 x 5-1/2 strip of the confetti parttern in It’s My Party DSP Pack.
A 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White has a 1 x 4 piece of Mint Macaron cardstock torn and added to the bottom for the “ground” and a 1/4 x 4 strip of yellow stripe DSP from the same package added along the side. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bear was stamped with Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White and colored with Crumb Cake Marker and AquaPainter. He was cut with the Bear Hugs Framelits.
The Love you balloon was stamped with Basic Black Archival Ink on Melon Mambo and cut with the heart shape framelit in Bear Hugs. The bow was stamped with Basic Black on Crushed Curry and cut with the framelit.
Two more balloons were cut with the framelit, one with Crushed Curry Cardstock and one from the Mint Macaron print in the It’s My Party Paper Pack. They were assembled at the top right corner of the Whisper White with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The strings were hand-drawn with a Basic Black Marker to the Bear’s paw.
Finally, a Rhinestone jewel was added to the Crushed Curry balloon!

Isn’t that a sweet card! My grand-kids would love to get it, I’m sure!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Shaker Cards

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop! This week’s theme is Shake Your Booty…all about Shaker Cards! I know this one will be lots of fun…because Shaker cards are fun, interactive cards, right? I can’t wait to see what everyone has done with the theme this week!

When deciding what to do, my new Blossom Punch Bunch came in on my order. I immediately thought the smallest blossom would be perfect to use as “confetti” in my shaker card this week! I also added some Brights Sequins for a little extra “shake” and color!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black, folded in half.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of It’s My Party DSP, a large circle was cut with the Circle Framelit. Along the bottom, the stem in the stamp set, Grateful Bunch was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and watercolored with Mint Macaron Marker and AquaPainter.
On the back of the DSP, I added a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Window Sheet, then added pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to form a circle around the opening and trap all the small pieces.
I also cut a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White and adhered it to the front of the Basic Black base card, stamped the Grateful Bunch greeting with Tuxedo Black Ink so that it would appear thru the circle opening.
I stamped the smallest flower several times on Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink and punched with the Blossom Bunch Punch. They were added in a pile to the center of the circle area, along with some Brights Sequins.
The top DSP layer was added over top to make the shaker card.
I also stamped the large and middle flower images in Grateful Bunch with Tuxedo Black ink on Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry, punched them out and added them to the bottom of the circle by the stem.
A Mint Macaron It’s My Party Enamel Dot was perfect for the center.

Isn’t that fun? I love the confetti look of the DSP and then the shaker flower bits!
