CSF887 – Spooky Halloween

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a fun sketch this week to try!

SPOOKY HALLOWEEN

We’re getting closer and closer to Halloween! I thought this sketch was perfect for the little critters in the Spooky Halloween set!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gray Granite cardstock was added to the front.
Two 1 x 3-1/2 strips of candy Spooky Sweet Designer Paper were weaved together with a 1 x 5-1/4 strip of orange DSP and adhered to the front.
The bats from Spooky Halloween were stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper right corner.
The cat was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Gray Granite, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Granny Apple Green and Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blends. She was cut with the Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The cauldron is a die-cut in the Spooky Sweet DSP that was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals next to the cat.
The bubbles were colored with Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
Spooky greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2 Basic White cardstock and tucked partially under the side of the cat.
A trio of green Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the bubbles and the background DSP.

CS211 – Beautiful Pumpkins

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Autumn Wishes”! I love all the colors of fall…and pumpkins!

BEAUTIFUL PUMPKINS

These distinctive pumpkin stamps are SO nice to add detail with just a little effort!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded. The front was embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of Celebratory Sips Designer Paper was added down the front.
The pumpkin solid image was stamped with Peach Pie Ink on 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla and the detail was stamped several times with Timid Tiger Ink. The stem was stamped with Early Espresso Ink and the three leaves with Old Olive ink on scrap Very Vanilla. They were cut with the Dies and added to the pumpkin (one leaf left for the greeting).
The Vanilla was added to a 2-3/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Timid Tiger cardstock, then added to the front.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1 x 2-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla and the end cut as a flag. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaf was added below the greeting.
Three Cajun Craze/Gold Dots were added into the background.

IM402 – Artistic Leaves

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a pretty fall wreath!

ARTISTIC LEAVES

I love the colors off fall! Summer is my favorite season, but fall is a close second! I love taking leaf images and making wreaths from them. Here’s another idea using the single leaf in Artistic Leaves!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Autumn Toile Designer Paper was added on top.
A 2″ circle was punched from Basic Beige cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Early Espresso Ink in the center. It was adhered to the front.
The single leaf was stamped twice with Old Olive, twice with Crushed Curry, twice with Cajun Craze and once with Pumpkin Pie Inks on Basic Beige cardstock. The detail image was stamped with Basic Beige Ink on all the leaves. They were hand-cut and added around the edge of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The pumpkins from Choose Happy stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the stems colored with SU100 Stampin’ Blends and the speckled stamp in Artistic Leaves stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink. They were hand-cut and added to the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two acorns and two berry branches were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock with the Branching Out Dies. The acorns were brushed with Early Espresso Ink. They were adhered and tucked around the pumpkins on the wreath.
Some Old Olive Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the pumpkins with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Cajun Craze & Gold Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Holiday Catalog Bundle

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is showing our Favorite New Mini Catalog Bundle!

BRANCHING OUT

I knew immediately what I wanted to do with this new Branching Out Stamp Set when I first saw it in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog! I set out to recreate a card that I made almost 12 years ago using Ornamental Pine! Anyone remember that set? Here’s the card I made for a swap so many years ago!

And here is the card I made updating it with Branching Out Bundle! I don’t know which one I like better!!!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP was added across the front towards the bottom.
The next to the largest label was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Branching Out Die. In the upper right corner it was stamped with the pine stem in Early Espresso Ink and the needles with Garden Green Ink.
Then it brushed with Cloud Cover Ink halfway diagonally, then a smaller area was brushed with Lost Lagoon Ink, and finally the top edges brushed with Pretty Peacock Ink. These were shaded light to dark.
The speckle stamp was stamped with White Craft Ink on top.
The greeting from Snowflake Kisses stamp set was added at the bottom with Memento Black Ink (I was surprised the Branching Out set didn’t have a Christmas/Winter type greeting in it!)
Two pinecones were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and brushed with Early Espresso Ink, then touched with White Craft Ink. They were added to the branch with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The label was added to the front towards the right side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added at the top of the pinecones.
A trio of Cajun Craze/Gold Dots were added to the background.

CSF886 – Festive Friends

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a pretty pastel color challenge to try this week!

FESTIVE FRIENDS

Yep…I’m back with my Festive Friends again! Can’t stop playing with them! This one is so pretty in the soft colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Florals in Bloom DSP was added on top (love this Cloud Cover stripe!)
A 1-3/4 x 4 piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock was added across the center with a 1/4 x 4 strip of Fresh Freesia cardstock on top towards the bottom.
The tag from Festive Friends Dies was cut from Cloud Cover cardstock and stamped with the snowflake in Cloud Cover Ink across the front.
A 1 x 3 strip of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top and cut with the bottom of the tag die. It was adhere to the bottom of the Cloud Cover tag for the snowbank. The tag was added to the front on a diagonal with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The snowman was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Lemon Lolly, Fresh Freesia, Cloud Cover and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Die and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Fresh Freesia cardstock and cut with the tag die.
The greeting tag was attached to the larger tag with Fresh Freesia Velvet Ribbon tied in a bow.
A snowflake was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and added to the bottom of the tag.
Three clear Faceted Snowflakes were added to the snowflake and the background.

CS210 – Gathering Moments

Our Creatively Simple new theme this month is “Autumn Wishes”! Fall! One of my most favorite times of the year!

GATHERING MEMORIES

This card came together SO easily…I had a bunch of these pieces already stamped and cut on my desk! I just pulled them all together!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige was stamped with the leaf in Basic Beige Ink randomly down the center.
Two 1 x 5-1/4 strips of Timeless Plaid DSP were added down each side.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the 2″ Circle Punch. The splatter image was stamped off with Basic Beige Ink in the background.
The 2-3/8″ Circle was punched from Cajun Craze cardstock and the white circle layered on top. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two leaves were stamped on Basic Beige cardstock with Cajun Craze Ink and cut with the Dies. They were added to the bottom of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stems with a Mini Glue Dot.

IM401 – Artistic Leaves

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is some plaid patterns!

ARTISTIC LEAVES

Of course, our Timeless Plaids DSP was a perfect backdrop for my card! I had these 2″ squares left over from my stamp class last week!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was added on top.
Two coordinating patterns of the 2″ square Timeless Plaid DSP were added side by side on the front.
The Artistic Leaves large leaf was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink and the inside with Basic Beige Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and speckles with Cajun Craze Ink. It was hand-cut and added to the center of the card.
The greeting was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink in the center and stamped off speckles added around with Cajun Craze Ink. It was punched with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch and added to the front.
The 5″ Irregular Weave Trim was tied in a knot and then added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.

FESTVE FRIENDS

I just had to get this Festive Friends bundle…it has a snowman…but all three of the characters are cute!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White was torn across the top and added to the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 Cloud Cover cardstock, then adhered to the front.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower left side.
The three characters were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and colored with Dark Shaded Spruce/Dark Old Olive (for the Garden Green color), Real Red Combo, Dark Daffodil Delight, Ivory/Bronze, Light Basic Black, Light Gray Granite, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends.
They were cut with the Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Light Pool Party was used to shade the snowman and the ground under them.
Two trees were cut from Garden Green cardstock and added to the left side.
Some snowflakes were cut with the dies from Basic White cardstock and added to the background sky.
A trio of Rhinestone Jewels were also added to the background.
