IM413 – Snowflake Kisses

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a couple wood slice snowmen!  Aren’t they cute?

SNOWFLAKE KISSES

Again…I’m using the greeting from the Snowflake Kisses stamp set on my card!  I love them…this set is a keeper for me!  I looked through my supply of designer paper for a wood print…finally found it in the Nests of Winter Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover cardstock was stamped with the Falling Snow Background Stamp with Cloud Cover Ink.  It was added to the front.
  • A 2 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top and then stamped with the Snowflake Kisses greeting in Memento Black Ink.
  • The snowman was built with three Stylish Shapes circles cut from the Nests of Winter DSP, then were adhered together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Using the Gingerbread Man Dies, the hat and scarf were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and the hat trimmed down to fit the circle.  The eyes and buttons were cut from Basic Black cardstock and the arms were cut from Early Espresso cardstock.  All were assembled on the snowman.
  • The nose is a small triangle cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the mouth is hand-drawn with a Black marker.
  • Two Crumb Cake Pearls of Beauty were added to the background and a white one added to the scarf.

Saturday Blog Hop – Ready for Christmas

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s challenge is “Ready for Christmas”!

PINE TREE TRIMMINGS

To me, putting up the Christmas tree is the ultimate symbol of the holiday season!  I used Pine Tree Trimmings for today’s Ready for Christmas theme!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Modern Christmas Designer Paper was next…love that print!
  • The Everyday Arch was cut with the die from Smoky Slate cardstock and added to the center.
  • The Pine Tree Trimmings tree was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  It was added to the center of the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The star at the top was cut with the Die from Silver Foil Paper and added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1 x 2 piece of Basic White and the end cut at an angle.  It was tucked under the side of the tree.
  • Two Lost Lagoon Faceted Gem Trios were added to the background.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!  If you are traveling during this holiday, please be safe!

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  It’s a fun sketch this week!

SNOWFLAKE KISSES

Yes…I’ve been using this bundle a LOT lately!  I realized that I had purchased it, but not used it, so it is getting a workout now!  lol!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover cardstock was added on top.
  • The 2 x 5-1/4 layer of Peaceful Garden Designer Paper was added across the front.
  • Three 1-3/8 x 2-1/2 pieces of dark Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper were added over the DSP.
  • Three Snowflake Kisses snowflakes were cut from Basic White cardstock and added over the Glimmer Paper with Monoadhesive Glue.
  • The greeting from Snowflake Kisses was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink in the upper right corner.
  • A trio of Secret Sea 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the center of each snowflake.

CS221 – Ornamental Christmas

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”!  I think placing the ornaments on the tree is magical!  They are the jewelry of the tree!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

Super simple on this card…for when you are running out of time to make your cards!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is -1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Shaded Spruce is embossed with the Traditional Wreath Embossing Folder and added to the front of the base card.
  • The Ornamental Christmas ornament was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the Ornamental Christmas greeting in Poppy Parade ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The top and bauble at the bottom of the ornament were cut from Gold Foil Paper and adhered.
  • Some Gold & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the ornament top.  An extra piece was tucked behind the ornament top and the top of the Shaded Spruce layer.
  • One of the holly diecut images from the Christmas Tags & More Designer Paper was tucked behind the top of the ornament.
  • Some red Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the holly and background.

IM412 – Snowflake Kisses

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a frosty snowflake!

SNOWFLAKE KISSES

This snowflake bundle was just calling my name, so I gave in and ordered it!  I really didn’t need another snowflake set, but I liked this background die!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Snowflake Kisses Die and added to the front.
  • The circle in the Die Set was cut from Cloud Cover cardstock (LOVE those tiny snowflakes around the edge!).
  • A single snowflake was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the center of the circle, then the circle added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Happy Winter from Snowflake Kisses stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on 1/2 x 2 Cloud Cover cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A couple Faceted Snowflakes were added to the center snowflake and the greeting.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s challenge is “Holiday Magic”!

SNOWY DELIGHTS

I always think snow at Christmas is magical!  I don’t really like it after Christmas…partly why we head to Florida for the winter!  So, I chose to use the Snowy Delights bundle for today’s Holiday Magic card in some fun colors!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Everyday Happiness Designer Paper is added on top (it reminded me of snow falling!)
  • The largest Snowy Delights snowflake was cut from Highland Heather, the medium from Pretty in Pink and the smallest from Cloud Cover.  They were adhered together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Snowy Delights stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and cut with the label die.  It was added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some purple Frosted Iridescent Dots were added to the snowflake.
  • The white Baker’s Twine was colored with a Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends, then tied in a bow and added below the greeting.

CSF896 – Festive Friends

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  It’s a holiday color combination this week!

FESTIVE FRIENDS

I’m obsessed with this little snowman.  I used him on my own Christmas cards this year and still have my tags to make using him!  So, here’s one more idea using him with these colors!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Old Olive cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Pool Party was stamped and stamped off with the tree along the width of the background.
  • A 2 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top.  It was stamped with the greeting in Cherry Cobbler Ink and added to the bottom of the Pool Party.  Then it was added to the Old Olive layer on front.
  • The tree was cut from Old Olive cardstock using the Die and adhere using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The snowman was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party Stampin’ Blends with a little Pumpkin Pie for his nose.  He was cut with the Festive Friends Die and added next to the tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three sets of snowflakes from the Festive Friends Dies were cut from Basic White cardstock and adhere with Monoadhesive Glue to the background randomly.
  • A trio of blue Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the snowbank.

This Branching Out set is so versatile…more than just for Christmas!  I do think the pop of a red bow turned this into one though.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is -1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock was added on top.
  • The 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Autumn Toile DSP was added towards the bottom.
  • The label shape was cut with the Branching Out die from Basic Beige cardstock and the greeting stamped with Early Espresso Ink.  Some speckles were stamped and stamped off with Crumb Cake Ink.
  • The pine branches were cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock and then stems colored with the SU900 Stampin’ Blends.  They were adhered flat to the label.
  • Two pinecones were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and brushed with Early Espresso Ink and were adhered to the branches.
  • A bow was made with the Real Red Shiny Ribbon and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot to the top of the branches.
  • Two Traditional Shimmer Sequins were added to the background.
