CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite non-Christmas Mini Catalog

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week we are featuring our favorite non-Christmas Mini Catalog set!

YULETIDE VILLAGE

Well, I think I went off track a little. Yuletide Village is technically a Christmas type of stamp set, but I wanted to make it into a thatched cottage! Good to show that this set just isn’t for Christmas, right? And I just didn’t feel up to making another leaf card to be honest! lol!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was added on top.
The 2 x 3-1/2 strip of Iconic Celebrations Designer Paper was cut into a banner at the bottom and added to the right side.
The greeting from Greetings of the Season was stamped above with Memento Black Ink.
Th cottage, stone walls, and trees were stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White. They were colored with Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Wild Wheat, Old Olive, and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.
The sky was brushed with Pool Party Ink using a Blending Brush.
The cottage was cut with the Deckled Rectangle Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Pecan & Clear Ribboned Dots were added to the background.

CSF837 – More Than Autumn

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We have another fun sketch for you to try this week!

MORE THAN AUTUMN

I’ve been wanting to get this idea out of my head ever since I created the little peppermint snowman latte card earlier! Here’s a fall apple cider scarecrow card! Isn’t it fun?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Copper Clay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Petal Pink was embossed with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive).
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Sweet Days of Autumn (Online Exclusive) Designer Paper was added along the bottom, with a coordinating 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Paper to cover the seam.
The largest Stylish Shapes Circle was cut from Basic Beige cardstock and stamped with the Hello Fall greeting in Early Espresso Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The cider cup, apple and whipped cream “hat” were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Copper Clay, Boho Blue, Real Red and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the More Than Autumn Dies.
The face is the second from smallest Stylish Shapes circle cut from Crumb Cake cardstock with Basic Black 1/8″ circle eyes and a hand-cut triangle nose from Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The crosses were made with the Basic Black Marker.
The straw “hair” is Daffodil Delight fringed with scissors and added to the top of the head.
A hat band was hand-cut from Copper Clay cardstock and added to the hat.
The “sunflower” is a snowflake cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Snowy Wonder Dies and a 1/8″ Basic Black circle added inside.
The leaves were cut with the Die from Copper Clay, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive cardstock and tucked around the cup.
A trio of copper Faux Glass Dots were added to the circle background.
Tiny dots of White Gel Pen for the eyes.

IM351 – Reindeer Fun

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is some cute reindeer! Of course, you know what set I used!

REINDEER FUN

The Reindeer Days Designer Paper is just loaded with whimsical reindeer prints, so I just had to use one of them for today’s card! I also love this greenery frame that is available from the Reindeer Fun Dies! Makes this card come together REALLY quickly!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of evergreen tree Reindeer Days Designer Paper was added across the front of the base card.
A 3-3/4 x 4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greenery frame was cut from a 3-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock and added to the Basic White cardstock.
Merry Christmas from Reindeer Fun stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 by 3-1/2 strip of Garden Green cardstock and adhered at the bottom of the greenery circle.
The reindeer was cut from the Reindeer Days Designer Paper and added in front of the greenery with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A couple Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Dots were added to the corners.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Punched Backgrounds

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. During the month of September, we are focusing on some techniques! Next up is Punched Backgrounds…use a punch to create a unique background on our cards.

SWEETEST STAR

For this card, I’ve used the Modern Oval Punch. It has been a VERY popular punch and consistently goes out of stock! It is great for greetings and gives this background an interesting look! I also LOVE the small red and green Take a Bow prints! Perfect to use for Christmas!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
Each pattern from Take A Bow 6×6 DSP was punched with the Modern Oval Punch. I laid them out in a pattern I liked to balance the colors, then adhered them on a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock. The excess was trimmed off the sides.
The greeting from Sweetest Star was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 5 piece of Real Red cardstock and the ends cut in a flag. It was added diagonally across the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I had a few of these pine branches cut from Garden Green and Granny Apple Green cardstock with the Winterly Tree Tops Die.
A few Basic Rhinestone Jewels were added to the pine branches for “berries” and makes the card sparkle!

SUPER easy card once the patterns were laid out! You could easily add a focal stamped image if you wanted! CSF836 – One of a Kind

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. This week is a pretty color combination using two of the new In Colors!

ONE OF A KIND

Everyone knows I love snowflakes, right? So, of course, I had to grab this simple snowflake set available in the new Mini Catalog! Easy to make quick cards with it! I’ve used some non-traditional colors for snowflakes on this card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was masked off with a torn sheet of copy paper and the Highland Heather, Summer Splash and Peach Pie colors were brushed on using a Blending Brush.
The trio of small snowflakes were added to a block, then inked with Summer Splash randomly over the blended colors.
The swirl was randomly stamped in the background with Peach Pie Ink.
Three of the detail snowflakes were cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Miin Glue Dots.
The greeting from One of a Kind was stamped with Highland Heather Ink in the lower right.
Three purple Tinsel Gems and three blue Tinsel Gems in the Three Pack were added to the center of the snowflakes and the background.

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our September theme is “Feathered Friends”. So many great bird images in Stampin’ Up!’s lineup…this should be fun!

SNOWY WONDER

There is a cute little penguin in the new Snowy Wonder Stamp Set that I thought would be perfect for my feathered friends card this week!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The snowflake Iconic Celebrations 6×6 DSP was cut with the Spotlight on Nature circle and added to the front. The coordinating stripe DSP was cut 1/2 x 3-3/4 and added across the bottom of the circle.
The penguin was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. The tree was stamped with Garden Green Ink. Both were cut with the Snowy Wonder Dies. An additional small tree was cut from Granny Apple Green, and all added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink o 3/4 x 2-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Rhinestone Jewels were added to the background.

IM350 – More Than Autumn

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a warm mug of hot cocoa!

MORE THAN AUTUMN

I’ve been wanting to use the More Than Autumn Bundle with the A Little Latte Designer Paper, so here was my chance! I’ve combined it with the Changing Leaves stamp set, too, so I had some leaves to use.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and 6-3/4 and folded in half. The smaller panel was then adhered to itself to form the “book binding”.
A 1 x 4 piece of the plaid A Latte Love DSP was added to the spine and a 4 x 4 of brown swirls was added to the larger panel.
The Changing Leaves maple leaf was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Calypso Coral cardstock and another on Lemon Lolly cardstock. They were colored with Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light Poppy Parade and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends in a random pattern, so they looked mosaic. The leaves were cut with the Changing Leaves Dies and added to the bottom of the wider panel.
The mug was hand-cut from the A Little Latte DSP and added on top of the leaves.
Two branches were cut from Early Espresso cardstock and tucked around the mug and leaves.
The marshmallows from More Than Autumn were stamped with Pecan Pie Ink and cut with the More Than Autumn Die. The marshmallows were lightly colored with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. They were added to the top of the mug.
Nothing’s Better Than was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Petal Pink cardstock and cut with the larger label in the Changing Leaves Dies. It was added to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Autumn & Hot Cocoa were also stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Petal Pink cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the front around the mug with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Copper and Brown Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Unmasked

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. During the month of September, we are focusing on some techniques! Next up is “unmasked”…using masks from stencils or die cuts on our cards!

WINTERLY TREE TOPS

I decided to use the Winterly Tree Tops Die as my stencil! I placed it on the Basic White cardstock and colored with a Blending Brush and Soft Sea Foam Ink. Then I cut Garden Green cardstock with the same die and layered it so it was slightly off set from the stenciled layer! Gives a cool shadow look! I also used the new Christmas Labels Bundle since the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle doesn’t have a Christmas greeting in it.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Sea Foam cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded. Set aside.
The Winterly Tree Tops background Die was placed on top of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock and blended with Soft Sea Foam Ink using a Blending Brush.
Then the Die was used to cut the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Garden Green cardstock. I trimmed down the Basic White layer to fit behind it and slightly off set to reveal the “white” branches.
The bird from Winterly Tree Tops was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Poppy Parade, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Blueberry Bushel, and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Die ad added to the lower right corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two pine branches were cut from Basic White cardstock and added under the bird.
The greeting from Christmas Labels was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on scrap Basic White and cut with the Christmas Labels Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the branch under the bird.
Some blue Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added to the label and background.
