CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Summertime Dream

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Summertime Dream”. What do you dream about in the summer? Warm weather? The beach? Green grass and blue skies? My first inclination was to use my Beach Day Bundle…cause…well, I love the beach! But my new Under the Moon stamp set was calling my name. It’s still a water view, which I love!

UNDER THE MOON

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2 x 5-1/2 strip of Summer Splash 2024-26 In Color 6×6 DSP was added towards the right side.
On a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, the water scene was built with Summer Splash Ink for the water, the sun was inked with Lemon Lolly and then a sponge dauber used to add Peach Pie Ink around the edges, it was stamped above the water line. The clouds were stamped off Basic Beige Ink (LOVE this new neutral!) The sailboat was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink. It was cut with the Deckled Rectangle Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Inspirational Sketches was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on a 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.
Some coral Baker’s Twine Three Pack was wrapped around my fingers several times and then added to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensional. The greeting was added on top with more dimensionals.
The peach Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

CSF822 – Flowers of Beauty

Happy birthday to me! Wow, these years really go by fast, don’t they?

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a color challenge this week. I don’t know if I would have ever put these colors together on my own, but they really work!

FLOWERS OF BEAUTY

I’ve used the Flowers of Beauty Dies only on this card, so it came together VERY easily.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path cardstock was added on top.
The 2-1/2 x 4 marbled print from Winter Meadow 12×12 Designer Paper (Online Exclusive) was added across the front.
The leaf branch was cut Basic White cardstock and the flower stalk from Shy Shamrock cardstock using the Flowers of Beauty Dies and added to the front.
The flowers were cut with the dies from Bubble Bath cardstock and the small flower layered over the larger one, then curled them up. They were added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the flower stalk.
Some Iridescent Pearls were added to the center of the flowers and a trio in the background.
The greeting from Unbounded Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pebbled Path cardstock, then cut with the Unbounded Love label die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Maybe I should have made this a birthday card today in celebration, but it seems I always need sympathy cards. OK, go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

CS145 – Blueberry Bunches

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Foodie”.

BLUEBERRY BUNCHES

Well, this card turned out a little more involved than I intended because of the hand-cutting! But it really isn’t too hard, so I’m using it for my Creatively Simple Challenge this week!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder.
Two sizes of the Spotlight on Nature Dies were cut from Lemon Lolly cardstock and added to the Basic White embossed layer, then the sides trimmed off to fit.
The Blueberry Bunches images were stamped with Gray Granite Ink on Basic White cardstock, colored with Balmy Blue Combo and Lemon Lime Twist Combo and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hello There from Blueberry Bunches was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2 Balmy Blue cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added to the front.
A trio of blue Tinsel Gems Four Pack were added to the background.
Some Wink of Stella was added to the blueberries.

IM336 – Simply Said

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a colorful art print!

SIMPLY SAID

With I was a kid…nothing was better than a fresh new box of colored pencils or crayons. I could color for hours! Well, not much has changed. I STILL love new coloring tools! And I LOVE the bright colors in the Full of Life 6×6 Designer Paper Pack!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The Full of Life Designer Paper was cut to 3 x 5-1/2 in the center of the pattern (which leaves 2 cool side pieces I can use on something else!)
Loop the black Neutrals Baker’s Twine several times around hand and add to front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
I used the baby wipe technique with Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Blueberry Bushel and Pumpkin Pie Ink Refills, then inked up my Simply Said Image and stamped on Basic White cardstock. It was cut with the label die from Unbounded Love Dies. (NOTE: rub an eraser across your stamp several times before inking to get the best absorption of ink on the rubber.)
Add label to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the twine.
A trio of black Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Forever Love

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Forever Love”. Lots of people seem to get married in June (my son and brother included!) Let’s show off our wedding and anniversary cards!

LAYERS OF BEAUTY

Although this stamp image looks time consuming to color…it really isn’t! The masks make it SO simple by adding color a section at a time! This greeting would be wonderful for my husband’s anniversary card (and he doesn’t mind flowers!)

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lolly cardstock is embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder and added to the base card.
The Layers of Beauty flower was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 layer of Basic White cardstock. The masks were used to add Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Petunia Pop, Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive Inks with Blending Brushes. It was cut with the Layers of Beauty Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine Three Pack was looped several times and then added to the flower.
The greeting from Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 4 strip of Basic White and the ends cut at an angle.
A trio of pink Tinsel Gems Four Pack were added to the background.

CSF821 – Winterly Tree Tops

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. This sketch has a unique background design that was a lot of fun!

WINTERLY TREE TOPS

Winterly Tree Tops is a new Stampin’ Up! bundle (part of the Nests of Winter Suite) that will be in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog! Demonstrators attending the Creativity Now Online Stamping Event were able to purchase it in advance! I loved working with it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
The 3 x 4 and 2 x 4 pieces of birch bark pattern in the Nests of Winter 12×12 Designer Paper pack had diagonal cuts made on them and then added to the front of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Early Espresso cardstock.
The 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped at the top with the greeting from Winterly Tree Tops in Early Espresso Ink.
It was added to a 2-3/8 x 3-3/8 piece of Boho Blue cardstock.
The single bird was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Boho Blue, Wild Wheat, Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Winterly Tree Tops Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two pine branches were cut from Garden Green cardstock and added to the branch the bird is standing on.
Some blue Natural Tones Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the pine branches.
A trio of Earth Tones Shimmer Gems were added to the background designer paper.

CS144 – Market Goodness

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Foodie”.

MARKET GOODNESS

Stampin’ Up! has lots of stamps with food images. For my first card this month, I went with the Market Goodness Bundle. I love this bunch of tomatoes! And it is always fun to see all the different colors of tomatoes you can grow now!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Garden Green cardstock was added on top.
The 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Full of Life Designer Paper was added to the right side.
Three tag shapes were cut with the Unbounded Love Dies from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the tomato images in Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green Inks. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thanks a bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1 x 2 piece of Garden Green and the end cut as a flag.
Some Black & Vanilla Large Check Ribbon was added to the back of the greeting, then to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The yellow Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins were added to the tags.

Funny, I had originally started with the card orientation in the horizontal position, but liked it so much better switched vertically! Check out Debbie’s new Creatively Simple card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

IM335 – Beach Day

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty seashell print! It would go great in my Florida house…just my colors!

BEACH DAY

I struggled with what I was going to do with this challenge. I had the Seaside Wishes Bundle in my cart when it suddenly went out of stock! But, when I saw the little scallop seashell in Beach Day, I knew I could make something with it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige (NEW!) cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Balmy Blue cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White was blended with Crumb Cake and Balmy Blue Inks using the Blending Brushes.
The grasses were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink along the bottom.
The waves were stenciled (using the Die Cut) across the top with Balmy Blue Ink.
The seagull was stamped with Early Espresso Ink at the top.
The Unbounded Love Scallop Oval was cut with the Die from Basic Beige cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The seashells were cut with the Beach Day Die from Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake and Basic White, then added to the scallop oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Another one was cut from Basic Beige and added to the grasses.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Basic White, then hand-cut and added to the Scallop Oval Die cut.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the greeting.
The 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots were added in the background.
