CS140 – Spotlight on Nature

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is “Appreciation”.  Sending a thank you card is so easy and much appreciated by the recipient!  I wish I thought to do it more often!

SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE

 

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shy Shamrock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock is stamped with the leaf image from Spotlight on Nature stamp set with Shy Shamrock Ink in the upper left and lower left corners.
  • A Blending Brush was also used to lightly brush the background behind the leaves.  The Basic White was added to the base card.
  • A 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of In Color 6×6 DSP was added across the front.
  • Thanks from Spotlight on Nature was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White and then cut at an angle.  It was also stamped off with Shy Shamrock Ink using the hash mark image, then added to the DSP with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Shy Shamrock In Color Resin Dots were added to the background.

IM331 – Flower Cart

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a rustic cart filled with flowers!

FLOWER CART

OK…what else could I use but the Flower Cart bundle?  I gave it a rustic feel with the new Country Woods Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder and sponged along the edges with Crumb Cake Ink.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Country Woods Designer Paper was torn across the top and added to the bottom of the Crumb Cake layer.
  • The wheels and crat from Flower Cart were cut from the Country Woods DSP (same sheet, I just reversed the crate paper and the wheel paper to give it two different patterns).  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greenery was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink on Basic White, then added accents with the Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
  • The flowers were stamped with Petunia Pop Ink on the greenery, then some added accents with Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Flower Cart was stamped with Petunia Pop Ink on Basic White and cut with the Unbounded Love Die.
  • A length of Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon was added across the front and secured in the back, then the label added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of green Iridescent Adhesive Backed Disks were added to the background.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Neutrals Palette

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Neutrals Color Palette”.  Our Design Team will use only whites, grays, ivory, browns or black on their cards this week!

LAYERS OF BEAUTY

I haven’t made a “vintage” looking card for a LONG time!  I thought the Layers of Beauty stamp set would be perfect for this week’s theme.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 new Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pecan Pie cardstock was embossed with the new Eyelet Embossing Folder and the edges roughed up and curled.  It was adhered on the front.
  • The large flower cluster from Layers of Beauty was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the Layers of Beauty Die.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and some of the edges curled up.
  • The extra leaves were cut with the dies from Basic White cardstock and adhered behind the main image.
  • The tag from the Layers of Beauty Dies was cut from both Pecan Pie and Basic White cardstock.  The Basic White was stamped with the “hello” image from Unbounded Love stamp set in Pecan Pie Ink.  They were adhered together with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The tags were tied with Linen Thread tied in a bow on the front with big loops and long tails.

 

I’m really happy with how this turned out!  I “may” be using this idea for my Stampin’ Up! CSF816 – Everyday Details

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a pretty Color combination this week!

EVERYDAY DETAILS

If you notice, I added Lemon Lolly Ink to some of the stems in the nest because they reminded me of forsythia branches!  For several years, I have had an artificial forsythia grapevine wreath on my front door in the spring and every year the birds raid it to build their nests!  I finally had to retire it this year because they had picked at it so bad it had bald spots!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock and 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock were added to the front of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pecan Pie, then embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder.  It was added to the front of the base card.
  • The swirl pattern from A Little Latte Designer Paper was cut with the Everyday Details rectangle Die and added to a 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink towards the top.
  • The nest was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then watercolored with Pecan Pie, Lost Lagoona and Lemon Lolly Inks and Water Painter.  It was hand-cut.
  • Some Lemon Lolly Baker’s Twine from the Three-Color Pack was looped several times and added to the front with the nest over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Wink of Stella was added to the eggs.
  • Three vanilla Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots were added to the background.

CS139 – Magnolia Mood

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is “Nature” cards.  Stampin’ Up! has so many great sets for this category!

MAGNOLIA MOOD

It’s official, I think.  Petunia Pop is my favorite new In Color.  I seem to grab it each time I make a card!  This card looks difficult, but it is SOOO easy!  Perfect for our Creatively Simple Nature theme!  This is an updated color version of the card my Stamp Club did in April!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The small bloom image was stamped randomly around the edge on front with Petunia Pop Ink for a tone-on-tone effect.
  • The new Thoughtful Journey DSP was cut with the Deckled Rectangles Die and added to a layer of 3-1/8 x 4-1/2 Basic White cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The magnolia was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Magnolia Mood Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added at the base of the flower.
  • The greeting from Magnolia Mood was stamped with Petunia Pop Ink on Pretty In Pink cardstock and hand-cut around the letters, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM330 – Flowers of Beauty

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a colorful coverlet for the bed!

FLOWERS OF BEAUTY

I must admit…this one stumped me a little.  I didn’t have a stamp set with this type of image that I could easily grab.  So I went with the colors, but we really don’t have that bright pink color anymore (the retired Polished Pink would have been good I think!)  So I came as close to the color combination as I could.  Looking back, I wished I would have stamped color on color instead of color on white, but I wasn’t going to redo it!  lol!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black was added to the front.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Melon Mambo cardstock embossed with the new So Swirly Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • The Unbounded Love greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and cut with the Unbounded Love oval die and added to the front.
  • The large flowers were stamped and stamped off with Balmy Blue Ink, the centers and small flowers with Melon Mambo Ink, and the leaves with Lemon Lime Twist Ink.  All were cut with the Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some blue Glossy Dots Assortment were added to the center of the small flowers and the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – New In Colors 2024

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “New In Colors 2024”.  Our Design Team will take their pick!  Which one is YOUR favorite?

FLOWERS OF BEAUTY & PETUNIA POP

Well, it really was a HARD choice this year…I LOVE all the new In Colors!!!  I know I’ll be using them a lot!  I think (right now) Petunia Pop is coming in as my very favorite!  It also goes well with so many of our existing colors!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Paper was added along the right side.
  • The 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Basic White was blended with Petunia Pop Ink across the center portion using the Blending Brush .
  • The branch from Flowers of Beauty Dies was cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered on the right.
  • The Petunia Pop 3/8 Bordered Ribbon was wrapped around the Basic White and tied in a bow.  The panel was adhered to the front.
  • Celebrate from Unbounded Love Stamp Set was stamped with Petunia Pop Ink on Basic White and cut with the label from Unbounded Love Dies.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Five small flowers were cut from Petunia Pop cardstock with the Die and added to the branch and next to the greeting.
  • Some In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the greeting flower and the background.

CSF815 – Country Florals

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun Sketch Challenge this week!

 

COUNTRY FLORAL

Yes…I know I’ve said it…I just LOVE the new In Colors and this fun Country Floral Bundle!!!  So many possibilities!  I had fun working the stamps into this sketch!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Summer Splash cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of In Color 6×6 Designer Paper was adhered to the 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 Petunia Pop cardstock slightly off set.
  • The circle was cut from Peach Pie cardstock with the Everyday Details Dies and stamped with the greeting from Country Florals in Memento Black Ink and adhered to the front.
  • A 3/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Basic White was added across the front.
  • The teapot was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Peach Pie cardstock and cut with the Country Floral die.
  • The flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Peach Pie, Petunia Pop and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Country Floral Dies.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some white Baker’s Twine Essential Pack was colored with the Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends, then tied around the handle into a bow.
  • Two 2024-26 In Color Sparkle Gems were added to the front.
