CS138 – Inspirational Sketches

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is “Nature” cards.  Stampin’ Up! has so many great sets for this category!

INSPIRATIONAL SKETCHES

My second card this week using my new Inspirational Sketches stamp set…perfect for this Nature theme!  I wanted a more muted look so I used Gray Granite for the outline image and then colored it with a new In Color, Peach Pie!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Paper was cut on a couple angles and added to the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Copper Clay cardstock.
  • The daisy image was stamped with Gray Granite Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Peach Pie, Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Everyday Details circle Die.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Inspirational Sketches was stamped with Copper Clay Ink on 1/2 x 3 Peach Pie cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front.
  • A trio of gold Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

IM329 – Inspirational Sketches

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty nature print with beautiful colors!

INSPIRATIONAL SKETCHES

I just got this Inspirational Sketches set with some extra host credits I had.  I love the sketchy images…don’t know why I didn’t get it before now.  But I’m glad it is staying available for a while longer!  This card I combined one of the new In Colors, Petunia Pop, with Pebbled Path for a more muted look!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path cardstock was embossed with the Distressed Brick Embossing Folder.
  • The arch from the Garden Meadow Dies was cut from Petunia Pop cardstock and blended around the edges with Pebbled Path Ink and a Blending Brush.
  • The mushrooms were stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink in the center.
  • The grass was cut with the Garden Meadow Dies from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and sponged along the bottom with Pebbled Path Ink, then added to the bottom of the arch.  It was added to the front.
  • The greeting from Inspirational Sketches was stamped with Pebbled Path on 3/4 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock, cut one end at an angle, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Warmer Weather

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Warmer Weather”…something to represent spring!  I know I’m SO ready for warm weather around here!  And the magnolia trees blooming really indicates spring and warmer weather to me!

MAGNOLIA MOOD

I can’t decide which new In Color I like best!!!  I flip flop between Petunia Pop and Peach Pie!  Here I’m using Peach Pie on the magnolia.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Peach Pie cardstock was embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • The magnolia bloom was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Petal Pink Combo, Dark Lemon Lolly, Light Peach Pie, Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Magnolia Blooms Dies and added to the front.
  • The greeting was stamped towards the right of a 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink. and added to the front.
  • A 1/2 x 3=1/2 piece of Meandering Meadow 6×6 Designer Paper was added under the greeting.
  • A trio of Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added next to the greeting and in the background.

CSF814 – Layers of Beauty

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We are picking our own favorite color combination this week AND adding a little sparkle!  Right now my favorite color is yellow, so I combined it with the awesome new Petunia Pop pink color and Lemon Lime Twist green!  LOVE how it turned out!

LAYERS OF BEAUTY

I just got this new Layers of Beauty bundle and couldn’t wait to ink it up!  On this card, I used Stampin’ Blends to color my flowers, but on a second card I’ll show later, I did use the stencils that are bundled with this set!  Stencils are quite the rage again.  I can remember stenciling my walls when I was first married!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was added on top.
  • The large rose flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist and Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Layers of Beauty Dies.
  • A 1/4 x 3 strip of Petunia Pop In Color Glimmer Paper was added behind the greeting stamped with Memento Black Ink on Petunia Pop cardstock.  It was cut with the Everyday Details Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of In Color Resin Dots were added to the background.

ATTENTION SHOPPERS

I was thinking about what stamp set I wanted to use for this challenge while I was putting away my new preorder items.  The sweet little bouquet in the new Attention Shoppers stamp set just called my name!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Peach Pie cardstock was added on top.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Meandering Meadow DSP was added to the left side.
  • The 3 x 3 Petal Pink cardstock was cut with the circle in the Everyday Details Dies.
  • A 3 x 3 piece of Basic White was added behind the cut Petal Pink, then the bouquet stamped in the center with Memento Black Ink.  It was colored with Crumb Cake, Peach Pie, and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink under the square.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the bottom of the bouquet.
  • The Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock Foil Gems were added to the background.

IM328 – Garden Meadow

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a flower filled wagon!

GARDEN MEADOW

Well, I don’t have any wagon stamps (but I do like the Online Exclusive one!), so I decided a wheelbarrow would be close enough!  I like it colored red!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was added on top.
  • The 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Meandering Meadow Designer Paper was added along the left side, then the arch cut from the reverse side and added to the front.
  • The wheelbarrow was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and colored with Poppy Parade, Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green and Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Garden Meadow Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Thinking of you was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink and hand-cut around the letters, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was folded in half and tied in a bow, then added to the wheelbarrow.
  • Two of the Brass Butterflies were added in the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Bye Bye

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Bye Bye”.  So sad to see some of our favorite bundles retiring…we’ll feature our favorites this week!

ROCK STAR

There were MANY stamp sets I could have chosen, but I was really surprised that this Rock Star Bundle didn’t carry over from the Mini Catalog!  It is perfect for teen or preteen.  I especially bought it for my grandson who is 10!  He loved his card!  This card combines the retiring set with the NEW In Colors, Summer Splash and Peach Pie!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Summer Splash cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Gray cardstock was stamped with the lightning image in Basic Gray Ink randomly around the background.
  • Two pieces of coordinating Rock & Roll Designer Paper were added to the background.
  • The large guitar pick was cut from Summer Splash cardstock with the Dies.  It was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two lightning bolts and the trio of stars were cut from Peach Pie cardstock with the Dies and added to the front.
  • A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We have a sketch this week for you to try!

LATTE LOVE

I thought this set would be perfect for this sketch…a set of coffee cups!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Night of Navy cardstock was added on top.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper was added on top towards the bottom.
  • The coffee mugs were stamped with Night of Navy, Wild Wheat, Calypso Coral and Old Olive on Basic White and colored with Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
  • The coffee centers were stamped with Pecan Pie Ink and the cream colored with Dark Petal Pink Blends.  They were cut out with the Latte Love Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped on Pecan Pie cardstock with Night of Navy Ink and cut with the circle in the Dies.  It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots were added to the coffee cream.
  • Wink of Stella was added to the coffee for a little sparkle.
