CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Trim it Down

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Trim it Down”. Last week we showed off our over-the-top cards…this week we are doing minimalist designs! I combined two stamp sets to get the look I wanted!

FOREVER FOREST & UNDER THE MOON

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the trees from Forever Forest stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink. The ground was stamped with Crumb Cake Ink randomly across the bottom.
The moon from Under the Moon stamp set was stamped behind the trees with Balmy Blue Ink.
Celebrate from Unbounded Love stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
The stamped layer was added to the base card.
One bird from Adhesive Backed Dragonflies and Birds package was added in front of the moon.

CSF824 – Adventurous Sky

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. Love the masculine feel to these colors!

ADVENTUROUS SKY

I just got this Adventurous Sky Bundle and designer paper, so thought it would be great to use it for today’s challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two patterns from the Take to the Sky Designer Paper were cut at 1-3/4 x 5 and added to the front.
The 2 x 3-1/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink and the small cloud with Pool Party Ink randomly. It was adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The plane was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Pool Party Combo and Light Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Adventurous Sky Dies and added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Adhesive Backed Textured Dots were added to the background and the prop of the plane.
Some Natural Tones Linen Thread (upcoming July-Dec Catalog) was tied in a bow and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.

CS147 – Citrus Blooms

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Foodie”. Cards that have a food type item on them!

CITRUS BLOOMS

I love the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Paper…so many nice images to cut out…and the various sizes of blue tiles…wow! I especially love the lemons.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige was added on the front.
Two 1-1/4 x 4 strips of Mediterranean Blooms DSP were added to the background offset.
The double lemon cluster was hand-cut from the DSP and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Four of the leaf branches were cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and tucked around the lemons.
The greeting from Citrus Blooms stamp set was stamped with Old Olive Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut an an angle.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
Three yellow Shiny Sequins were added to the background.

IM338 – Inspiring Snapdragons

Personal note: I had created this card a week or so ago for this challenge. God’s plan has me using it already. My father-in-law passed away unexpectedly last night. I think my mother-in-law will really appreciate this card.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is field of snapdragons. Stampin’ Up!’s new Inspiring Snapdragons Bundle is perfect to use!

INSPIRING SNAPDRAGONS

I remember my grandmother had a wall of snapdragons along the side of her garage! The wood planks in the background of my card were inspired by that memory!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Country Woods Designer Paper was added on top.
A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock was torn across the top and sponged with Granny Apple Green Ink along the edges, then added to the bottom of the DSP.
The snapdragon details were cut from Basic White cardstock and colored by sponging with Peach Pie and Pumpkin Pie Inks, Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop Inks, and Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight Inks. All were sponged along the bottom with Granny Apple Green for the leaves.
The snapdragon solid images were cut from Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Petunia Pop cardstock with the Dies and the detailed images adhered on top. The spike leaves were cut from Granny Apple Green. They were added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two leaves were punched from Granny Apple Green cardstock with the Bough Punch and sponged with Granny Apple Green Ink. They were layered behind the flowers.
The greeting from Inspiring Snapdragons stamp set was stamped with Granny Apple Green on a 3/4 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added over the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of yellow Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Over the Top

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Over the Top”. We all have occasions that we want to REALLY go all out on our cards…adding a few more layers and embellishments than we normally do! That’s this week’s theme!

WINTERLY TREE TOPS

This Winterly Tree Tops is an upcoming bundle that will be in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog. Demonstrators who are attending the Creativity Now Event in June were able to preorder it early! I must say that I LOVE this set…it is pretty easy to work with! This one I went the extra mile to make it an “over the top” card! Did you see I have the single bird facing in BOTH directions? That’s a fun mirror technique! And the paper pinecones were fun to make!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The speckled stamp from Layering Leaves was stamped randomly over the entire front with White Craft Ink.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow was cut with the evergreen frame from the Winterly Tree Tops Dies.
Four extra evergreen branches were cut from Mossy Meadow using the Dies.
The frame and single evergreens were sponged with White Craft Ink, then some White Pearlized Enamel Effects was applied on top for some texture and shine then allowed to dry. It was added to the front of the base card.
The single bird was stamped with Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White cardstock. A second bird was inked with Smoky Slate Ink and stamped on the Silicone Mat, then another piece of Basic White was pressed on top of the wet image and the back rubbed firmly. This transfers the mirror image!
They were colored with Light Balmy Blue, Light Boho Blue, Light Gray Granite, Light Crumb Cake and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
The regular bird was cut with the Dies and the mirror bird was hand-cut. They were added to the frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from the new Greetings of the Season (Online Exclusive) was stamped with Smoky Slate ink on Basic White and punched with the Labeled with Love Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The extra evergreen branches were tucked around the greeting and the birds with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To make the pinecones, I cut the large scallop circle from Pecan Pie cardstock with the Round We Go Dies and then cut inside to make a long spiral strip. I was able to get the three pinecones from the one circle. They were rolled up and sponged with Pecan Pie Ink. They were added to the front with Monoadhesive Glue. Fun!!!
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the bird next to the greeting with a Mini Glue Dot.

CSF823 – Magnolia Mood

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We have a sketch for inspiration this week!

MAGNOLIA MOOD

Another card that came together easily with little stamping! Of course, you could substitute the stamped magnolia and color it, too! After I photographed this, I added “90” cut with the Alphabet Al A Mode Dies to the front and sent it off to my aunt for her birthday!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Petunia Pop cardstock was added to the front.
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Mediterranean Blooms Designer Paper was cut at an angle and added to the front.
The 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of the small grid pattern in Mediterranean Blooms DSP was colored with the Petunia Pop Ink using a Blending Brush and added on top of the medallion print.
The 1 x 1-1/2 piece of Night of Navy cardstock was cut at a flag end and tucked under the angled DSP.
The circle was cut from Boho Blue cardstock using the Spotlight on Nature Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The magnolia was cut from Basic White cardstock using the Magnolia Mood Die and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on scrap Petunia Pop cardstock and hand-cut around the letters, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the background for a little bling!

CS146 – Bistro Burger

BISTRO BURGER

This card reminds me so much of my dad…he loved his burgers! He will be gone three years this month…I miss him!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was added on top.
The 3 x 5-1/4 piece of Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper was added down the center.
Happy Father’s Day from Bistro Burger was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the bottom of the DSP.
The Basic White cardstock was cut with the Deckled Circles Die and stamped with the burger in Memento Black Ink.
It was colored with Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Real Red, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
The two pickles were stamped on scrap Basic White with Memento Black Ink and colored with Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Bistro Burger Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The toothpick was cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and the flag from Crushed Curry cardstock with the Bistro Burger Dies.
A hole was pierced at the top of the burger and the toothpick pushed down behind the circle.
An Adhesive Backed Swirl Dot was added to the flag.

IM337 – Delicate Forest

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty tree photo! I love the unusual perspective!

DELICATE FOREST

I went looking for a tree image and this one in the Delicate Forest Stamp Set worked out perfectly!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pebbled Path cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-1/4 x 5-1/2 panel of Basic White cardstock was first stamped with center tree. I inked up the top portion of the tree with Poppy Parade Ink, then used the Early Espresso Marker for the tree and limb details and stamped in the center. I repeated the process with the Granny Apple Green tree, but shortened the length of the trunk, then did the Crushed Curry Tree the same way.
The ground was stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink under the tree trunks.
I used the Blending Brush to add Balmy Blue Ink in the center portion of the Basic White background.
Two 1/2 x 5-1/2 strips of Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP were added behind the Basic White Panel.
Some Pebbled Path 2023-25 In Color Jute Trim was wrapped a couple times and criss crossed on the front, then the panel added to the front of the base card.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the Unbounded Love label Die. It was added to the Jute Trim with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots were added to the background.
