CCMC793 – Rustic Crate

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We have a fun sketch challenge for you this week!

RUSTIC CRATE

I’m surprised how much I actually like this color combination! The Poppy Parade and Pretty Peacock mellow out the Wild Wheat color! I flipped the sketch on the side for my card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Poppy Parade cardstock is embossed with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder and added to the front.
Two 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 Wild Wheat striped DSP and two 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 Pretty Peacock polka dot prints from Garden Walk DSP were added to the front offset as shown.
The Deckled Circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Die and added to the center of the blocks with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The poinsettia cluster from Rustic Crate stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Poppy Parade and Dark Real Red, Old Olive Combo Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Christmas Classics stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Wild Wheat cardstock and end cut at an angle. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front.
Some gold Festive Pearls were added to the center of the poinsettias.

CS115 – Merriest Trees

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Tis the Season” cards!

MERRIEST TREES

This is a swap card that I made for an Incentive Trip Swap Group. A little different since the tree is cut out of the front panel so the inside layer shows thru!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 was stamped with the detail tree image in Soft Sea Foam Ink in the center of the panel.
The 3-3/4 x 5 Basic White was cut with the largest Merriest Trees Die, the tree trunk stamped with Pecan Pie Ink, and adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The trim and star were cut from More Dazzle Gold Paper and added across the tree branches and top of the tree.
The greeting from Merriest Trees was stamped with VersaMark Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and White Embossed. The ends were cut at an angle, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of red Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs were added to the tree.

IM306 – Sending Cheer

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. Here is a fun holiday cake to inspire you!

SENDING CHEER

I focused on the colors, gingerbread and snowflakes on my card today. I would have added a tree, but that would have added a fourth die set! lol!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
- The Handcrafted Elements Dies were cut from Bubble Bath and Balmy Blue and added down the front.
- Two gingerbread men from Sending Cheer were stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White cardstock, the faces with Memento Black Ink. They were cut with the Sending Cheer Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The snowflakes from Wishes All Around Dies were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock.
- Some white Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins were added to the centers of the snowflakes
- No Peeking from Sending Cheer stamp set was stamped on a 5/8 x 2 piece of Basic White with Pecan Pie Ink, the end cut at an angle and added with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the front.

Saturday Blog Hop – Pumpkin Spice

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Pumpkin Spice”…cards with pumpkins on them!

AUTUMN LEAVES

This is one of the cards my Stamp Clubs did last month! I don’t normally show the cards they make in class, but I loved how this one turned out, so I thought I’d share since it fit the theme this week. I’m on a binge about making these “wood” looking pumpkins from the Countryside Corners Dies! Thanks to Libby Fens for the idea of adding the embossed stripes!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Copper Clay cardstock, score at 5-1/2 and fold to form base card.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock was stamped with the double leaf and Mossy Meadow Ink along the edges.
A 2 x 4 piece of All About Autumn Designer Paper was added across the front.
The 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Very Vanilla was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The pumpkin was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Countryside Corners Die and embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder. The edges were sponged with Cajun Craze Ink, then the raised ridges were sponged with White Craft Ink direct to paper.
The stem was hand-cut from Pecan Pie cardstock.
The leaf from Autumn Leaves was cut from All About Autumn DSP. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, cut a flat end and adhered to the pumpkin.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to the background and the greeting.
