Saturday Blog Hop – Sugar is Sweet

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Sugar is Sweet”. Let’s use some of the “sweet” stamps we have in our lineup on our cards today! What will our Design Team use? I decided to use my new Blueberry Bunches stamp set, available in the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog.

Here in Florida, we have a blueberry farm just about 10 miles away that gets a WONDERFUL crop of blueberries that you can pick your own! A couple years ago, I picked a couple galloons and froze them to use all year long! They were big, fat and juicy just like these! SOOOO good in my blueberry cobbler!

BLUEBERRY BUNCHES

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Countryside Inn Designer Paper was added on top with a coordinating 1 x 3-3/4 Countryside Inn DSP print added to the bottom.
The large medallion from Thoughtful Expressions Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock, then stamped with the blueberry cluster image in Memento Black Ink. It was colored with Boho Blue, Balmy Blue, Old Olive and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Blueberry Bunches was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Boho Blue cardstock, then cut with the label die in Thoughtful Expressions. It was run thru again on one end to make it shorter.
Some Silver Simply Elegant trim was looped and adhered behind the label, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of 2022-24 In Color Pearls were added to the medallion.

CCMC806 – Excellent Eggs

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a bright color challenge for you to try this week!

EXCELLENT EGGS

This set is fun, but I hadn’t used this particular stamp yet…was a perfect time to try it out! My Stamp Clubs are doing a variation of this card this month!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the crosshatch Basics Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Les Shoppes Designer Paper was added on the front.
The greeting from Excellent Eggs was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/4 x 4 strip of Coastal Cabana cardstock and added to the front.
The large egg was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then water colored with Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Gray Granite Markers. It was cut with the Excellent Eggs Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink and lightly outlined with Gray Granite Marker.
The ric rak trim was cut from Crushed Curry cardstock with the Dies and added under the egg.
A trio of Tingle Gems Three Pack were added to the background.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Sweet” cards. This theme should be lots of fun this month!

LATTE LOVE

I love this new Online Exclusive, Latte Love. And…my coffee can definitely be sweet! I love my Caramel Macchiatos!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lost Lagoon cardstock has been embossed with the crosshatch Basics Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive).
Two 1/2 x 3-1/2 pieces of Pecan Pie cardstock were added to the back of a 3 x 3-3/4 piece of A Little Latte Designer Paper (Online Exclusive), then added to the front.
Two of the lattes were cut from the DSP with the Latte Love Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink and cut with the circle in the Latte Love Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three of the cream Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots were added to the background.

IM320 – Ice Cream Swirl

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge are some ice cream decorations!

ICE CREAM SWIRL

Another inspiration that lends itself to a particular stamp set…although Mary did use a different set than I did! I chose Ice Cream Swirl for my card with some fun background prints!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- Four 1 x 4 Lighter Than Air Designer Paper prints were added to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, leaving one space open, then added to the front.
- The ice cream top was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and also Lemon Lolly Ink on Lemon Lolly cardstock, then cut with the Dies.
- The cone was stamped with Balmy Blue Ink on Balmy Blue cardstock and cut with the Dies. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The strawberry from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Shaded Spurce Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the die and tucked in between the layers of ice cream swirls.
- Thanks from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on the Basic White open space in the background.
- Some yellow Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the strawberry and the cone for a little bling.

Saturday Blog Hop – Pick Me Up

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Pick Me Up”. We are creating thinking of you, get well…or other encouragement type cards this week! I think the Painted Lavender Bundle is one of the prettiest in the mini catalog! I’ve used it with the greeting from Softly Sophisticated Set (SAB Level 2).

PAINTED LAVENDER

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lost Lagoon is embossed with the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder (SAB Level 2 Bundle). It was added to the front.
The medallion from Thoughtful Expressions Dies was cut from Highland Heather cardstock and added to the front.
On Basic White, the branch was stamped with Lost Lagoon, the large lavender bush with Gorgeous Grape, the smaller bush twice side-by-side with Fresh Freesia Ink and overtop wwith Gorgeous Grape Ink. All were cut with the dies.
The other branch leaf was cut with the Dies from Lost Lagoon cardstock. It was cut in half and added between the layers of lavender, then the entire bunch assembled and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Softly Sophisticated (SAB Level 2) was stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink on Basic White and cut with the label from Thoughtful Expressions Dies. It was added to the medallion.
A couple of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were added to the background and one to the front flower.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We have fun sketch challenge this week! I liked this sketch so much I used it on another upcoming card…but it looks totally different!

HEARTFELT HELLOS

I’ve featured several of the Sale-A-Bration items on today’s card! Can you spot them?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party was embossed with the Layered Florals Embossing Folder and added to the front.
Two 1/2 x 3-3/4 strips of Lost Lagoon cardstock were added behind the 3 x 3-3/4 Softly Stippled DSP (SAB), then added to the front.
The greeting from Heartfelt Hellos (SAB) was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White and cut with the label die from Thoughtful Expressions Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The small flowers were cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock and the leaves from Mossy Meadow with the Thoughtful Expressions Dies, then added to the label with Mini Glue Dots.
The Opaque Faceted Gems (SAB) were added to the centers of the flowers.

CS128 – Watercolor Melon

WATERCOLOR MELON

Who doesn’t love watermelon in the summer? I know I do! It is so refreshing…especially when it is nice and cold! It’s definitely a sweet treat!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder.
A 2 x 4-3/4 piece of Most Adored DSP (SAB) was added to the bottom.
The watermelons from Watercolor Melon (SAB) were stamped with Garden Green and Real Red with Memento Black seeds. The leaves with Lemon Lime Twist.
I used the Modern Oval Punch to punch out the full size watermelon and the half watermelon. The slice and leaves were hand-cut. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
With Love from Country Bouquet was stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the banner die. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a mailbox full of love Valentine cookies!

SENDING LOVE

Another inspiration that was easy to figure out which set to use! Sending Love was perfect, don’t you think? Mary is being TOO easy on me!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was added oon top.
- A 2-1/2 x 5 piece of Bee Mine Designer Paper was added towards the right side.
- A coordinating 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Bee Mine DSP was added across the front.
- The Deckle Rectangle was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped with the greeting from Heartfelt Hellos (SAB) in Real Red Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The full mailbox was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Crumb Cake and Old Olive Blends. It was cut with the Dies and added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Then just the top of the mailbox was stamped on Real Red cardstock with Memento Black Ink. It was also cut with the Dies, then the trimmed to fit over the Very Vanilla one. I cut a slit in along the mailbox line so one of the envelopes would slide in. It was added to the full mailbox with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two envelopes were stamped with Memento Black Ink and cut with the Dies, then added to the lid of the mailbox as mentioned above with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The flag was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a scrap piece of Gray Granite cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the mailbox.
- Some Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers were added to the mailbox, envelopes and grassy area.
