CS73 – Dainty Delight

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…we are kicking off the new year with the theme of “LOVE”. Time to get ready for Valentine’s Day, right? We’ll create a simple card every Tuesday in January using that theme!

DAINTY DELIGHT

My first time using the new Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Bundle and I made a card that is mostly from the coordinating Dainty Flowers Designer Paper! I also used the Mini Pocket Envelope Die for the first time!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Fresh Freesia cardstock was embossed with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 3/4 x 4 piece of Dainty Flowers DSP was added across the front.
The Mini Pocket Envelope was cut with the die from the Dainty Flowers DSP, adhered together, then added to the front. This pocket is a perfect size for a gift card!
I made a small notecard by stamping the flower image with Old Olive Ink on a 1-3/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White that is layered on a 2 x 3-1/2 piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. It was colored with Fresh Freesia, Old Olive, and Starry Sky Stampin’ Blends, then tucked in the pocket.
The greeting from Dainty Delight stamp set was stamped on Old Olive cardstock with Starry Sky Ink, then cut with the scallop label from the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies.
The daisy flower was cut with the Dainty Delight Dies from Rich Razzleberry cardstock and the center from Starry Sky cardstock, then added to the front of the pocket.
A trio of gold Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

CS72 – Country Bouquet

COUNTRY BOUQUET

Here’s another simple card using the Country Bouquet punch! I love this layout…in fact I’m using almost the same card for my Stamp Club this month!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Petal Pink cardstock.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Country Floral Lane DSP is added on top.
The 3 x 8-1/2 piece of Thick Basic White cardstock is scored at 4-1/4. The front is cut with the Something Fancy Die centered.
The heart and leaves were punched with the Country Bouquet Punch from the Country Gingham DSP and added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting and small heart were stamped with Sweet Sorbet Ink. The small heart was punched with the Country Bouquet Punch and added next to the larger heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Four red Festive Pearls were added to the corners and one silver Festive Pearl to the small heart.

CS71 – Country Bouquet

COUNTRY BOUQUET

I love the simplicity of the Country Bouquet Stamp Set and coordinating Punch! I combined the bright colors I used with a crisp white background on today’s Creatively Simple card!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The heart was stamped three times with Sweet Sorbet Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched.
The leaf duo was inked three times with Parakeet Party Ink, then sponged with Garden Green Ink before stamping on Basic White cardstock, then punched.
The hearts and leaves were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
With Love was stamped with Garden Green Ink on 1/2 x 1-1/2 Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle.
It was layered on a 1/4 x 2-1/4 strip of Sweet Sorbet cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Elegant Gems were added to the hearts for a little bling.

Happy Thursday! Time for another Create with Connie and Mary creative challenge! Can you believe it is almost Valentine’s Day and mid February? I can’t!

LOTS OF HEART

I love these colors together and it inspired me to make another Valentine’s Day card using my Lots of Heart…that Buffalo Check heart is my fav!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Oh So Ombre Designer Paper (free SAB!) was added to the bototm.
The large scallop heart was cut from Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Many Hearts Dies.
The buffalo check heart was stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Many Hearts Die.
The small heart was cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the Many Hearts Die.
All the hearts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A bow was tied with the Playful Pets Ribbon and added to the heart with a Mini Glue Dot.
The greeting from Lots of Heart was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on a 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the end trimmed at an angle. It was tucked under the heart with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Red Rhinestones were added in the background!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Red/White/Pink Colors

It’s time for a new Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Design Team will be featuring Red/White/Pink color combination! With Valentine’s Day coming up quickly, it wasn’t hard to pull my card together!

I love the set Heart Happiness in the Occasions Catalog and I think it has been overlooked a little because of it’s sister stamp set, Sure Do Love You! Heart Happiness has so many pretty hearts in it! I went with a very simplistic look on my card, but the Glitter Dots really jazz it up! And, aren’t those little floral hearts SO sweet?

Here are the details:

The case is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Powder Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Real Red cardstock is added on top.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, the two lacy hearts are stamped in Real Red and Berry Burst.
The cascading hearts in the background were stamped diagonally with Powder Pink Ink.
Love from Labels to Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
Different sizes of pink Glitter Dots were added across the front.

Blooms & Wishes

As the retirement list comes out later this month, I’m thinking of using my regular catalog sets more and more. Need to give them some love since I’ve focused on the Occasions catalog for the past few months. Here’s one I made a few months ago, but haven’t shared. It was inspired by several cards I saw on Pinterest, and I love the Melon Mambo/black/white color with the pop of Tempting Turquoise I used here!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Along the left side of the 4 x 5-1/4 Whisper White cardstock layer, a 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Pop of Pink Designer Paper was added to a 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Melon Mambo cardstock, then added to the Whisper White.
The heart was cut from Melon Mambo and the word love from Basic Black with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and added to the front.
Two flowers from Blooms & Wishes were stamped with Tempting Turquoise Ink on Whisper White and two leaves with Pear Pizzazz Ink. They were hand-cut and added to the heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The centers were made with the end of a pencil and Basic Black Ink.

SUOC166 Sealed with Love

The theme this time over on SUO Challenges (SUOC166) is Embossing…heat or dry! I wanted to use my new Falling Petals Embossing Folder…the little hearts are perfect for a Valentine card, too!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock, angled on the front.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Real Red cardstock is embossed with the Falling Petals Embossing Folder.
The FREE Sale-A-Bration ribbon 3/8″ Metallic Silver is wrapped around at an angle and tied with a knot (I’m LOVING this ribbon!)
Love Note greeting is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Love Notes Framelits. The envelope Framelit is cut from Sending Love Designer Paper. Both are adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The small heart Framelit was cut from Red Glimmer Paper and added to the Love Note.

Hello Life Part 2

OK, I promised another card with the Hello Life stamp set and sketch from Create with Connie and Mary. I had a HARD time deciding which one to use for the Thursday Challenge! Obviously, here is the one that I didn’t use. Tell me which you like better…the one from yesterday (see here) or today’s?

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Rose Red, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is embossed with the Happy Hearts folder.
The 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 layer of Rose Red is wrapped with Melon Mambo/Basic Black Baker’s Twine and adhered in the back, then placed on the front of the Whisper White.
3/4″ circles were punched from the Love Blossoms Designer Paper (12 of them) and adhered on the Rose Red.
The striped heart from Hello Life was stamped with Rose Red Ink on Whisper White and cut.
Love from Hello Life was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on 1/2 strip of Whisper White and cut with a flag end.
Both were adhered on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Rhinestone Jewel was added to the heart.

So…very similar, but different…what do you think? lol!
