CS65 – Merriest Moments

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Celebrate Holidays”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in November using that theme!

MERRIEST MOMENTS

Today’s card combines new product with a favorite set from last year!  I used Merriest Moments a TON last Christmas season.  I love the poinsettias!  I thought it would be perfect to pair with the heart frame using the Framed Florets Dies that are available to order now, but will be in the new January-April Mini Catalog!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was cut with the heart oval frame from Framed Florets Dies, then adhered to the front.
  • The center portion of another smaller oval was cut from Brushed Metallic gold cardstock and stamped with the greeting from Merriest Moments in Stazon Ink.  TIP:  Immediately clean your photopolymer stamp with an alcohol swab and then rinse with the Stampin’ Mist to clean and prevent the black from staining.
  • The large and small poinsettia from Merriest Moments Stamp Set were stamped with Real Red Ink and two large and one small leaf with Garden Green Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Merriest Frames Dies (on sale Dec 1 for 60% off!!!).  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Gold Seasonal Sequins were added to the center of the poinsettias.

Creatively Simple 14 – Christmas

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Christmas” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!  We are definitely on the countdown to Christmas now!

I love all the different pieces to the Merriest Moments Bundle.  It has the stamp set, the outline die, the detail die AND an embossing folder that all interact with each other!  On this card, I featured the embossing folder with a white-on-white effect!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Merriest Frames Embossing Folder.
  • The rectangle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Merriest Frames Die.  It was stamped with the JOY greeting in Memento Black and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The poinsettia from Merriest Moments stamp set was stamped with Real Red Ink twice and Shaded Spruce once on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Merriest Frames Dies.  They were layered together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A Champagne Rhinestone was added to the center.

CCMC693 – Merriest Moments

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  It’s a really fun sketch this week that you need to try!

 

MERRIEST MOMENTS

I think it is funny that after I completed this card, I looked back at another card I had done a couple weeks ago using this set and they are VERY similar!  I must like this look!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pear Pizzazz cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper was added to the bottom.
  • The 5/8 x 4-1/4 strip of Real Red cardstock was placed towards the top in the center.
  • The 3-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White was cut with the pointed Basic Borders Die.  It was stamped with the greeting from Merriest Moments in Mossy Meadow Ink.
  • The large and small poinsettias were stamped with Real Red and the larger one again in Mossy Meadow Ink.  They were cut with the Merriest Frames Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Gold Gilded Gems were added to the center for a little sparkle!

Merriest Moments

MERRIEST MOMENTS BUNDLE

Hello December! Wow! Countdown to Christmas has begun in my house! Today I’m doing a little watercoloring on some Shimmer White cardstock to get that mottled look on my Merriest Moments card.

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
    • I used Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers to color a sheet of Acetate by scribbling the colors randomly.  I spritzed it with water, then placed the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Shimmer White cardstock on top to absorb the color and water.  Let dry.
    • The Merriest Frame Detail Die was used to cut the details on the watercolor piece, then it was placed in the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder and embossed.  It was adhered to the front.
    • The greeting was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the stitched rectangle in the Merriest Frames Die Set.  It was added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The greenery from the Merriest Moments Stamp Set was stamped three time with Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Dies.
    • The berries were stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Dies.  All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Some Blue Gilded Gems were added to the leaves for a little bling.

Love the non-traditional colors for Christmas, don’t you?  The Embossing Folder, Die and details in this Merriest Moments bundle are wonderful and easy to use!

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  I loved this week’s sketch!  I know I’ll be using it again!

MERRIEST MOMENTS

I thought right away of using a poinsettia for the focus circle on the sketch and it worked perfectly!  I paired it with the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper that I LOVE, and am so happy they brought it back this year!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pear Pizzazz cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Garden Green cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3 x 3 piece of Heartwarming Hugs DSP was cut with the Basic Border Dies with the point off center, then adhered to the front.
  • Seasons Greetings was stamped with Real Red Ink on a 1 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock, and adhered over the DSP towards the left side.
  • The large and small poinsettias from Merriest Moments stamp set were stamped with Real Red Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Dies.  They were adhered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The three holly leaves were stamped with Garden Green Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and also cut with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Dies.  They were adhered under the poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three gold/clear Wonderful Gems were added to the center of the Poinsettia and three red for the background.

Hello! Another Thursday has rolled around…these weeks go by pretty fast, don’t you think?  That means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week it is a fun sketch for you to try!

MERRIEST MOMENTS BUNDLE

There are SO many fun dies and an embossing folder that goes with this bundle!  But I love the poinsettias, too!  This sketch seemed to point to using a DSP background (but you don’t have to…), so I focused on the poinsettia.

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Succulent, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • Two 1/2 x 4-1/2 strips of Tidings of Christmas red striped DSP were added behind the 3 x 5-1/2 piece of greenery print in the same DSP, then adhered to the base card.
  • A 5/8 x 4 piece of Rose Gold Glitter Metallic Paper was added to the DSP towards the right side.
  • The large and small poinsettias from Merriest Moments stamp set were stamped with Cherry Cobbler Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Merriest Frame Dies.  Three small holly leaves were stamped with Soft Succulent Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the dies, too.  All were assembled together, then added to the Rose Gold strip with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Season’s Greetings was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of yellow Holiday Rhinestones were added to the center of the poinsettia.

MERRIEST MOMENTS BUNDLE
I had a HARD time trying to decide what mini catalog set to use for this blog hop.  I really thought I’d go with fall, but then saw my Be Dazzling DSP (free SAB option) on my desk and decided to use it on a Christmas card!  I love the hybrid embossing folder/die option in this Merriest Moments Bundle!

CARD Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cherry Cobbler c/s, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Evening Evergreen is added on top (I love this color for Christmas!)
  • The large frame image was cut from Be Dazzling Paper (FREE SAB selection!) with the Merriest Frames Dies, then embossed with the Merriest Frames Hybrid embossing folder.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was was stamped with Cherry Cobbler Ink on the Basic White frame from Merriest Frames Dies towards the top.  It was adhered to the Be Dazzling frame with Tombow Monoadhesive Glue.
  • The holly leaves were stamped with Soft Succulent Ink and the berries with Cherry Cobbler Ink, the greenery with Evening Evergreen Ink.  They were all cut with the Merriest Frames Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of red Holiday Rhinestones were added to the background.

I love all the sparkle on this card!

MERRIEST MOMENTS 3×3 ACETATE BOX

BOX Stampin’ Details:

  • The 3×3 Acetate Box was folded and formed into the box.
  • A 3 x 3 piece of Evening Evergreen was stamped with speckles image and Evergreen Evening Ink in both corners and adhered to the top of the box.
  • The greeting from Merriest Moments was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink on the Basic White frame from Merriest Frames Dies.  It was added to the front (off center) with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The poinsettia petals were stamped with Cherry Cobbler Ink and greenery with Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Merriest Frames Dies.
  • The other greenery was cut with the Dies from Be Dazzling Paper.
  • All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of gold Holiday Rhinestones were added to the center of the Poinsettia.

CCMC678 – Merriest Moments

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  We have a lovely color combination for you to try this week.  The black with the bright pink really pops!

MERRIEST MOMENTS

I wanted to use one of my new Christmas sets with these colors and thought the Merriest Moments Bundle would be perfect!  I almost didn’t get this bundle, but SO glad I did.  Love that the large background die can be cut AND embossed!  I did both, although it is hard to see since I used black.

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Smoky Slate cardstock.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock was embossed with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, then cut with the Merriest Moments Frames die.  It was added to the front
  • The frame was cut from Basic White cardstock with the frame in the die and stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink towards the right side.  It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the embossed frame.
  • Two large flowers and two small flowers were stamped with Polished Pink Ink and two medium and two large leaves were stamped with Smoky Slate Ink.  All were cut with the Merriest Frames Dies.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pink In Color Jewels were added to the center and one next to the greeting for a little bling!

I really love how this turned out and the non-traditional Christmas colors!  The pink almost looks neon next to the gray and black!  Go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this color combination over on Create with Connie and Mary!
