IM46 – Painted Harvest

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! This canvas of Sunflowers is gorgeous, isn’t it? Of course, I had to pull out Painted Harvest to use…it just seemed to fit!

Here’s what I did with the inspiration…LOVE that Buffalo Check background!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mango Melody cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded (fold is on the side).
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the Buffalo Check Background and Mango Melody Ink.
Early Espresso cardstock was cut with the largest Stitched Shape Square.
The sunflower was stamped on a scrap piece of So Saffron cardstock with Crushed Curry, Mango Melody and Early Espresso Inks and punched with the 2-1/2 circle punch, then added to the square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A couple leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green, punched with the Trio Leaf Punch and tucked under the circle with Mini Glue Dots.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 1 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock then cut with a flag end.
A 1/4 x 3 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was added under the greeting.
Finally, a piece of Braided Linen Trim was tied in a knot and frayed, then added to the center of the sunflower with a Mini Glue Dot.

It’s a pretty simple layout, so you’d be surprised that I fussed and fussed with it! lol! In fact, I completely tore my original apart and redid it! Sometimes it just doesn’t come out like you imagine in your head! OK…go check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CCMC527 Painted Harvest

Sometimes you just need to use an “old” favorite stamp set…I loved Painted Harvest when it came out last year and used it a LOT…however, it hasn’t seen much love since last fall. Today’s color challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary inspired me to use it for this week’s card and combine it with some NEW items.

So here’s what I did with Painted Harvest, but I’ve combined it with the NEW Buffalo Check background and a Galvanized Clip with Braided Linen Trim! Gives it an entirely different look, doesn’t it?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of So Saffron cardstock was stamped with the Buffalo Check background stamp and So Saffron Ink for a tone-on-tone look.
A 4-1/4 x 2-1/2 piece of Pacific Point cardstock was cut with a flag end.
A 2-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Whisper White was stamped with Poppy Parade (stamped off) and the background flower image, then full strength Poppy Parade Ink with the detail flower image on top. In the center, So Saffron Ink was stamped with the center image several times, then the little dots stamped over it.
The greeting from Painted Harvest was stamped with Pacific Point Ink under the flower, then the white panel added to the Pacific Point banner.
A new Galvanized Clip was tied with 1/8 Braided Linen Trim in a knot, then shredded and clipped onto the side of the Whisper White panel.
The banner was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on front.

Painted Harvest Sympathy

I need to replenish my sympathy card stash. I went to mail one out and I’m completely out of them! So, I made up this one very quick last night. I do like the Pool Party textured background. I think it highlights the yellow sunflower and makes it pop! Now need to get this in the mail.

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party was embossed half way with the Layering Leaves Embossing Folder.
A 1 x 4 strip of Petal Garden Designer Paper was added across the bottom of the embossing.
With Sympathy from Rose Wonder was stamped with Early Espresso Ink under the DSP.
The flower from Painted Harvest was stamped with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry, the center and dots with Early Espresso on Whisper White. It was punched with the Starburst punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Always Artichoke cardstock was punched with the Leaf Punch and sponged with Always Artichoke ink. It was tucked under the flower.

Very quick and simple, but I know it will be appreciated by our friends.

Alaska Achievers Blog Hop

I’m so happy to be hopping with the Stampin’ Up! Alaska Incentive Trip Achievers! This blog hop is for those demonstrators who have earned this fabulous trip! You are here at my blog, CONNIE BABBERT, continue on to the next person by finding the name after mine on the list at the bottom! I’m in the USA, so if you have questions or need the products to reproduce this project, feel free to contact me!

The past six months I’ve been busy with a big house move, our SU Incentive trip to Thailand and then knee replacement surgery, PLUS getting my new studio cabinets designed and installed and all my creative goodies back in their proper place! Whew! But, I did this Fall project using Painted Harvest Bundle and was saving it for the next time I could play along with this blog hop! It will fit in a standard 8 x 10 frame for a little Home Decor this fall!

Here are the details:

The base is 8 x 10 Crumb Cake cardstock.
The FALL letters were cut out of the center of a 6×6 sheet of Wood Textures Designer Paper. Then it was added to a 6-1/4 x 6-1/4 layer of Early Espresso Cardstock (TIP: the cut out portion is hidden behind the sunflower layer…great way to save on cardstock or DSP!)
A 3-3/4 x 7-3/4 layer of Whisper White was stamped several times with the flower image in Painted Harvest in the colors of Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry. The leaves with Lemon Lime Twist and Always Artichoke Inks. The centers with Early Espresso Ink. The background dots in Crumb Cake Ink
The edges were sponged with Crumb Cake Ink and the greeting stamped with Early Espresso Ink.
On a scrap piece of Whisper White, four more flowers were stamped, along with four sets of leaves and two acorns. Only the center petals of two of the flowers were hand-cut, then placed on top of the full cut flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves were punched with the Leaf Punch and tucked around the flowers.
The two acorns were hand-cut an added under one of the flowers.
A double strand of Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the center of one flower. A Gold Faceted Gem was added to the center of the other flower.

SUOC185 Favorite Holiday Product

The theme this time on SUO Challenges is “Favorite Holiday Product”. Again, what a difficult challenge to narrow down to just ONE product in the Holiday Catalog!!! But, again, Painted Harvest won out for me…this time a more masculine look!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Very Vanilla was embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder.
Across the front is a 3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Painted Autumn Designer Paper.
The leaves in Painted Harvest stamp set were stamped with Garden Green on Old Olive cardstock, then punched with the Leaf punch.
The greeting was stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and punched with the Pretty Label Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the leaves tucked around it.
Two acorns were stamped with Soft Suede bottoms and Chocolate Chip tops on Crumb Cake cardstock, then hand-cut and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

Painted Harvest Sympathy

We sadly had a neighbor pass away unexpectedly a couple weeks ago. I pulled out the Painted Harvest to make a sympathy card for them. I think this is one of my favorite cards I’ve made with this set.

Here is the inside and the envelope was decorated the same.

The details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crushed Curry cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cajun Craze was added to the base card.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, the background flower from Painted Harvest stamp set was stamped twice on the left side with Crushed Curry Ink, then the second step flower image stamped with Cajun Craze on top.
The centers of the flowers were filled with Early Espresso Ink.
The fern leaves were stamped with Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz to fill in the background, the the speckle stamp with Early Espresso Ink randomly.
Another flower was stamped the same on scrap Whisper White, then hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two of the leaf trios were stamped with Garden Green, then punched with the Leaf Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Rose Wonder stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso Ink.
The flower and leaves were stamped on a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White on the right side and the inside greeting from Rose Wonder stamp set with Early Espresso Ink.

I just felt this was a perfect set to use for this sad occasion.

Painted Harvest again

I showed you a Painted Harvest card a couple weeks ago and said that I had done two more cards very similar to it with a little different layout. Here it is again:

Here’s the second one that I did.

And here is the third one:

Same colors, same designer paper, just a little different layout to make subtle changes in the cards. Here are the details again for all three.

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
Two 1 x 4 pieces of Painted Autumn Designer Paper were added to each side of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock.
A 1/2 x 5 strip of the coordinating Espresso pattern DSP was added across the top section.
One sunflower was directly stamped on the Very Vanilla cardstock layer with Crushed Curry Ink for the solid background and Pumpkin Pie for the top layer. Early Espresso Ink was stamped off for the center of the flower, the the dotted image was full-strength.
A second flower was stamped the same on scrap Very Vanilla cardstock, then hand-cut and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves background was stamped off Garden Green, then the veins were full-strength Garden Green Ink. They were punched with the Leaf Punch and tucked under the popped-up flower.
The thankful greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Very Vanilla, then punched with the Everyday Label Punch and sponged around the edges with Pumpkin Pie Ink and tucked under the sunflower.
Some Linen Thread was double tied in a bow and added to the sunflower with a Mini Glue Dot.

SUOC183 Painted Harvest

The theme this time on SUO Challenges is “Autumn Colors”. Of course…what set did I use? Painted Harvest…with a pumpkin cut from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The front of the base card has been embossed with the Quilt Top Embossing Folder.
On the 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Whisper White, the greeting from Painted Harvest was stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink.
The outline Pumpkin was cut twice…once with Pumpkin Pie cardstock and once with Cajun Craze cardstock. The inside of the Pumpkin Pie outline was filled with the Cajun Craze slivers, then adhered on the front of the card.
The leaves were stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango Ink, Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green Ink, Cajun Craze and Chocolate Chip Ink and Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry Ink. They were punched with the Leaf Punch and arranged around the pumpkin.
The stem was colored with Garden Green Marker.
A double loop of Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the pumpkin with a Mini Glue Dot.
