CSF927 – Match Day

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! This month of challenges are some of my favorites! We will be using a sample card from the current Stampin’ Up! catalog and recreating it using either the layout, the colors, or a combination of both!

MATCH DAY

Soccer is all the rage right now because of the World Soccer Cup games being hosted in the US. However, these colors are from my grandson’s favorite jersey!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of A Wonderful Match DSP was adhered on the front.
The jersey (with #1) was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on Daffodil Delight, colored with Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blends, and cut with the Match Day Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The soccer ball outline was cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to a 1-3/8″ Circle of Basic White cardstock. It was adhered next to the jersey.
The greeting from Match Day was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock towards the top.
The grass was cut with the die from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and adhered at the bottom of the greeting piece. It was adhered to the front.
The pylon was cut from Timid Tiger cardstock using the die and added to the grass.
A trio of Shimmering Dots were added to the background.

CS252 – Framed Violets

Our Creatively Simple theme for the month of June is “New In Colors”! Here’s my last card for the month with this theme!

FRAMED VIOLETS

Another favorite of the new In Colors – Hydrangea Hue! I wish we had a hydrangea stamp set that we could use with this beautiful color! But the violet bundle worked out well for today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Hydrangea Hue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Delicate Dreams DSP was added down the right side.
The scallop oval was cut with the die from Hydrangea Hue cardstock and adhered towards the left.
The Basic White oval was cut with the die and adhered inside.
The violets were stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink and watercolored with Hydrangea Hue and Mossy Meadow Inks. It was cut with the Die and added to the center of the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Hydrangea Hue ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Three Banner Punch. It was added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two of the flowers were cut with the die from Hydrangea Hue cardstock and two sizes of leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock. They were added next to the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Shimmering Dots were added to the center of the flowers and one in the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Summer Fun Time

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Summer Fun Time!” Finally feels like summer is finally here to stay a while!

SPLASH & RELAX

I actually have had this card sitting on my desk for a while. I had gone in a different direction with a previous challenge and didn’t use this card! So, this week was pretty easy on me!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Golden Glow cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Highland Heather cardstock was randomly stamped with the innertube swirls in Gorgeous Grape Ink across the background.
A 3/4 x 5 strip of Golden Glow cardstockc was added across the front towards the bottom.
Four 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 pieces of Scenic Coast DSP were added to the front, flat.
The Sunglasses were cut with the Dies from Gorgeous Grape and Basic Black cardstock, adhered together, and the lenses highlighted with the White Gel Pen
The hat pieces were cut with the Dies from Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather cardstocks and adhered together.
The suntan lotion bottle was cut with the Dies from Highland Heather and Basic White for the lid and adhered together.
They were all added to the DSP squares with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A banner was cut with the Three Banner Punch from Gorgeous Grape and adhered to the last DSP square.
The greeting was stamped with Gorgeous Grape on Basic White cardstock and cut with the circle beachball Die, then added to the banner with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
A trio of orange Sunset Sparkle Sequins were added to the hat and background.

CSF926 – Made with Sweetness

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a different color challenge this week!

MADE WITH SWEETNESS

I like all the fruits in this Made with Sweetness die set! I thought the blackberries would be nice to use for this color challenge! I would like to have used a little green for the stems, but it worked out ok!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Barely Blush cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of gingham Silly Old Bear DSP was added on top.
The 1 x 4 piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock was added across the middle.
A 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece off Basic Gray cardstock was cut into a banner shape at the bottom and adhered to the front.
The 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Vellum cardstock was adhered inside the banner.
Some Barely Blush cardstock was brushed with Blackberry Bliss Ink, then three of the solid background berries were cut with the Die.
The outline of the three berries were cut with the Die from Blackberry Bliss cardstock and adhered over the backgrounds. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three of the berry tops were cut from Basic Gray cardstock using the Die and added to the back of the top of the berries.
Wink of Stella was used to color over the berries to make them glisten.
The greeting from Filled with Sweetness was stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on 1 x 2-3/4 Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was adhered flat to the front.
A trio of white Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background.

CS251 – Boutique Blossoms

Our Creatively Simple theme for the month of June is “New In Colors”! This week I focused on the Barely Blush color…such a soft color!

BOUTIQUE BLOSSOMS

I’m such a pushover for floral bundles, especially when they have dies that do most of the work! I noticed that with all the retirements, I had only a few current floral sets left in my stash, so I ordered this one!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Barely Blush cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
Two 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of gingham Silly Old Bear DSP were added towards the bottom.
The two Boutique Blossoms flowers were cut from Barely Blush using the Dies and brushed with Barely Blush Ink around the center and edges. They were adhered to the front right side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two trio leaves and the branch were cut with the Boutique Blossoms Dies from Peaceful Pine cardstock and tucked around the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two small flowers were cut with the Boutique Blossoms Dies and added over the branch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two 2026-28 In Color Dots were added to the center of the small flowers.
The greeting from Scalloped Blooms was stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink in the upper left corner.

IM442 – Lily of the Valley

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a paint color palette!

LILY OF THE VALLEY

I used the colors in this photo for today’s card! The blues, greens and purples reminded me of lily of the valley!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Hydrangea Hue cardstock was added on top.
The 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of 2026-28 In Color Patterns DSP was added to the right side.
The Everyday Arches was cut from Basic White cardstock using the die. The center was brushed with Old Olive Ink and then stamped with the greeting in Gorgeous Grape Ink.
The grid pattern was cut with the Die from Gorgeous Grape cardstock ad adhered along the bottom of the arch.
The stem of the lily was cut from Peaceful Pine cardstock and the blossoms from Hydrangea Hue. The blossoms were brushed with Gorgeous Grape Ink along the bottom. They were adhered together. Set aside.
The leaves outlines were stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink and the insides with Old Olive and stamped off Old Olive Inks. They were cut with the dies and adhered to the arch. The lily was tucked inside.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the base of the flower with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Antique Pearls were added to the background.

PRETTY POINSETTIA

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Golden Glow cardstock was stamped with the Pretty Poinsettia greeting in Peaceful Pine Ink and the insides colored with Wink of Stella.
Two 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of plaid A Stitched Season DSP were added to each side of the Golden Glow layer.
The large leaf branch from the Pretty Poinsettias Dies was cut from Gold Metallic Paper and then cut in half and adhered across the top.
Two sets of Pretty Poinsettias petals (LOVE the texture!) were cut from Poppy Parade cardstock and brushed with Poppy Parade Ink. The leaves were cut from Peaceful Pine cardstock and sponged with Peaceful Pine Ink, and the centers cut from Golden Glow cardstock. They were assembled together and added over the gold leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of gold Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems were added to the flower centers and next to the greeting.

I was excited that the new Golden Glow color would be perfect for Christmas…and I was right! CSF925 – Relaxing Waterside

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a fun sketch this week!

RELAXING WATERSIDE

I had most of these pieces already cut and sitting in my scrap pile. Every once in a while, I like to go through them and see if I can turn the pieces into a new creation! It worked out this time…I only had to cut the base card…the rest of the pieces were already done!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was added on top.
A 2-3/4 x 5 strip of Waterside Retreat DSP was added across the center.
The oval was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Framed Violets Die and adhered to the front towards the left side.
The chair was cut from Misty Moonlight cardstock and the trim from Basic White cardstock using the Relaxing Waterside chair dies. It was added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The life jacket, fish and paddle were all cut from the DSP and adhered on the front.
The greeting from Relaxing Waterside stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/4 strip of Basic Beige cardstock and added to the front.
A trio of blue Dewdrops Embellishments were added to the background.
