IM438 – Cutest Crew

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is butterflies!

CUTEST CREW

I looked and looked for butterflies in my current stash of stamps. These Cutest Crew butterflies were so little that I didn’t think I could make an entire background with them…then I thought about a butterfly wreath! It worked!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cute as a Bug DSP was added on the front.
1/2 x 4 strips of Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Highland Heather cardstocks were added to the center area on the front.
I placed a scrap 2″ circle in the center of the 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White. I used that as a guide to stamp my Cutest Crew butterflies around the circle using Basic Black Hybrid Ink, then removed the circle.
The butterflies were colored with Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.
The greeting from Cutest Crew was stamped with Highland Heather Ink in the center.
A double length of Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background for a little sparkle.

Saturday Blog Hop – Animal Kingdom

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Animal Kingdom”! What fun!

WOOLLY FRIENDS

I’ve made this little box for a couple different classes using a couple different stamp sets! It’s a quick and easy little giftable to make up for someone special! Here’s the one I made using the Woolly Friends stamp set and punch!

Stampin’ Details:

Pool Party c/s: 4 x 5-1/4 for base.
- With 4 at top, score at ¾ and 3-1/4
- With 5-1/4 at top, score at 3 and 3-3/4
Fold and press in on all score lines.
Cut the two small side tabs from edge to cross score line. Cut a vee in the small tab. (See template)

Silly Old Bear DSP – pink check print: 2-1/4 x 2-3/4
- Adhere the DSP paper inside the box back.
FIRST: Add glue to the inside of the small tabs, then adhere to the OUTSIDE of the box top.
SECOND: Add glue to the bottom flaps and adhere on the outside over the tabs.
THIRD: Cut from the top score line to the top of the box front at a diagonal angle on each side.

DECORATE:

Garden Green c/s: 1 x 2-1/2
- Tear across the top and adhere to the front bottom.
Basic White c/s: 3 x 3
- Stamp sheep’s body, bow, and head with Basic Black Hybrid Ink. Punch.
- Stamp flowers with Basic Black Hybrid Ink. Hand-cut and separate.
- Color with Bubble Bath and Peaceful Pink Stampin’ Blends.
- Adhere all to the Garden Green “grass” with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Basic White c/s: 3/4 x 2-1/2
- Stamp greeting with Basic Black Hybrid Ink.
- Punch with Three Banner Punch.
- Adhere to the DSP on the inside with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add candy of choice! I purchased a four pack of Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups at The Dollar Tree.

CSF921 – Artisan Sketched Garden

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We have a fun sketch challenge this week!

ARTISAN SKETCHED GARDEN

I had SO many different ideas on how to make my card using this card…you’ll probably be seeing a few of them in future posts! What a great sketch! On this card I let the DSP do ALL the work!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Strawberry Slush cardstock was added to the front.
The greeting was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink in the upper right corner.
Three different Artisan Sketched Garden DSP patterns were cut 1-1/2 x 4, then torn across the top and bottom, then layered on the front leaving a small space of Strawberry Slush along the bottom.
A 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Cloud Cover cardstock was added to the upper left corner.
One of the vases from the Artisan Sketched Garden DSP was hand-cut and colored with Strawberry Slush, Cloud Cover and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends, then added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Shimmering Dots were added to the background.

CS246 – Lily of the Valley

We have a new Creatively Simple theme for the month of May called “Botanicals”!

LILY OF THE VALLEY

This Lily of the Valley bundle is so delicate looking! I couldn’t wait to use it on this peek-a-boo card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock. The center of the front is cut with the Scalloped Blooms Die. It is also scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The greeting is stamped under the circle with Hydrangea Hue Ink.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bloom Boutique DSP was added to the INSIDE so that it peeks through to the front.
The lily and leaves images were stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink on Basic White cardstock and watercolored with Hydrangea Hue and Peaceful Pine Inks. The top and bottom of the flower was adhered above and below the scallop circle. The leaves were adhered to the bottom and side of the circle.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot to the bottom of the flower.
A trio of Antique Pearls were added to the background.

IM437 – Sunset Coast

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a sunset lighthouse picture!

SUNSET COAST

Of course, it was pretty obvious what stamp bundle I would use, but I wanted to do a little different look with it. I think it worked!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (last chance).
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Azure Afternoon was added across the center.
A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock was added to the front slightly towards the left edge with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Scenic Coast DSP was added to the Blueberry Bushel cardstock making sure to get a portion of the “sunset”.
The lighthouse image was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and then colored with Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
Another portion of the lighthouse rocky ledge was cut with the die from Crumb Cake cardstock and the pieces fit into the colored Basic White layer for a two-tone rock look. It was added to the bottom of the DSP layer.
Happy Anniversary greeting was stamped with Blueberry Bushel Ink on 1/2 x 2-3/4 strip of Crumb Cake cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of red Sunset Sparkle Sequins were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Sprigs & Twigs

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Sprigs & Twigs”. Lots of choices for this theme!

SPRINGTIME SCENES

I thought all the leaves in this bundle would make a great card for today’s sprigs & twigs challenge! I really like that leaf circle die!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Peaceful Pine cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Ladybug Picnic Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Peaceful Pine cardstock was randomly stamped with the open leaf branch with Peaceful Pine Ink. It was adhered down the center.
The circle Springtime Scenes die was cut from Lemon Lime Twist and the leaf circle from Granny Apple Green cardstock. I adhered them together, then used the remaining ring circle on top to finish it. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The solid leaf branch was cut from Peaceful Pine cardstock using the die and added to the side of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The open leaf branch was stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, cut with the die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The ladybug was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on Basic White cardstock, colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends, cut with the die and added above the leaf branches with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flowers were cut from Basic White cardstock and layered together, then added to the front.
The greeting from Springtime Scenes was stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of red Dear Dots were added to the flowers and the label.

CSF920 – Boutique Blossoms

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We have a pretty color challenge this week and it put me in mind of flowers!

BOUTIQUE BLOSSOMS

I grabbed my Boutique Blossoms and Scalloped Blooms Bundles to create today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Floral Spray Embossing Folder (used one of the ends) and added to the front.
A 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Petal Pink cardstock was added across the front.
The Scalloped Blooms Die was cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Peaceful Pine Ink. It was added to the front.
The flower outlines were stamped three times on Basic White cardstock with Crumb Cake Ink and the insides with Petal Pink Ink. They were cut with the Dies and added around the scallop circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaf outlines were stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink and the insides with Peaceful Pine Ink. They were cut and tucked around the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three small flowers were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock using the die. They were tucked around the flowers.
Some Petal Pink Dear Dots were added to the centers.

We have a new Creatively Simple theme for the month of May called “Botanicals”!

FERN & FLORA

This Fern & Flora really does make quick cards if you want! I especially love the dies!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was brushed with Golden Glow Ink towards the left bottom side.
The lines image was stamped over the brushed ink twice with Golden Glow Ink.
The large fern was stamped twice with Peaceful Pine Ink over the lines image.
A large fern was cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock using the Die and added to the fornt.
The label was cut from Basic White cardstock and the greeting stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink. It was brushed around the edges with Golden Glow Ink and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Iridescent Foil Gems were added to the background and label.
