CCMC656 – Welcoming Window

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a pretty color combination this week!

WELCOMING WINDOW

I decided to use my brand new bundle, Welcoming Window on my card today! I wish I had purchased it earlier…so easy to work with, although I was a little restricted because of the colors today!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock, embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.
Across the bottom is a 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Boho Indigo Designer Paper with a 1/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Bumblebee cardstock on top.
The greeting was stamped on a 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White, cut the end at an angle and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The window, shutters and shelf were cut from Night of Navy with the Window Flower Box Dies (LOVE the wood detail on them!).
A 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Bumblebee cardstock was added behind the window and trimmed.
The hinges were cut with the dies from Basic White cardstock and adhered on the shutters.
The small flower pot was stamped with Old Olive, the vine with stamped off Night of Navy, the pitcher with Bumblebee and the flowers with Old Olive and Bumblebee Inks. All were cut with the dies.
A length of navy Well Suited Twine was tied in a bow and added to the pitcher with a Mini Glue Dot.
Some Wink of Stella was added to the flowers.

March 2021 Maui Achievers Blog Hop

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve both Maui trips that will be held in May 2021 (hopefully!) March’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT! I won this set, Wrapped Bouquet, in a door prize at a recent stamping retreat, so just had to use it!

WRAPPED BOUQUET

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bumblebee cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-14 layer of Basic White was added on top.
The 2-1/2 x 3 pieces of two patterns in Flowers for Every Season were added to a 3-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Poppy Parade cardstock.
A 1/2 x 4 piece of Just Jade cardstock was added across the front.
The floral bouquet from Wrapped Bouquet was stamped once with Just Jade Ink and once with Memento Black Ink on a piece of Basic White.
The flowers on the Memento Black piece were colored with Mango Melody and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends then cut out and popped up on the Just Jade image
The newspaper wrap was cut from the Memento Black Piece, colored with Light Gray Granite Blends, then added over the Just Jade image.
The cut out flowers were added to the Just Jade image with Stampin’ Dimensionals an then entire bouquet was cut out and adhered on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Mother’s Day was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White, then punched with the Rectangle Postage Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals tucked under the newspaper wrap.
A trio of Red Rhinestones were added to the background.
The gray Well Suited Twine was doubled up and tied in a bow, then added to the bouquet with a Mini Glue Dot.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a fun floral pillow to inspire us! I thought the flowers looked a lot like the ones in the Pierced Blooms Dies!

PIERCED BLOOMS DIES

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamped at the bottom with the In Bloom greeting in Bermuda Bay.
- A 1-1/2 x 3-7/8 piece of Snail Mail Designer Paper was added across the front.
- The large flowers were cut with the Pierced Blooms Dies from Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose and Coastal Cabana cardstocks, the centers with Very Vanilla cardstock.
- The small flowers were cut with the Pierced Blooms Dies from Coastal Cabana and Real Red and the tiny flower centers from Blushing Bride cardstock.
- The leaves were cut with the Pierced Blooms Dies from Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
- All were layered on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of Red Rhinestones were added to the tiny flower centers.

Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Cards

This week’s blog hop theme is Easter cards! It is almost time for Easter…that is hard to believe! I (Connie) have been in Florida and missed the awful cold and snow in Ohio this year! LOVED it! One of the best things about spring is the rebirth of new flowers and budding trees…and some cute little baby animals! Springtime Joy is just the cutest set for Easter!

SPRINGTIME JOY

Stampin’ Details:

The base 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Fine Art Floral Designer Paper was added to the left side of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
A 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Flirty Flamingo cardstock was cut at an angle and stamped with the Springtime Joy greeting in Memento Black Ink, then added to the front.
The bunny, three tulips, the Easter basket and butterfly were all stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock. They were colored with Stampin’ Blends…Crumb Cake Combo, Flirty Flamingo Combo, Granny Apple Green Combo, Light Highland Heather, Light Daffodil Delight, and Light Pumpkin Pie. They were hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
An Opal Round embellishment was added next to the greeting!

CCMC655 – Sweet Ice Cream

It’s Thursday again and time for a Create with Connie and Mary challenge! We have a very unique sketch for you to try this week!

SWEET ICE CREAM

The first thought I had when seeing this sketch is that a giant ice cream cone would work perfectly down the center! I had room for FOUR scoops of ice cream with the cone!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam was added to the top.
Three 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 strips of Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper were added to the background.
A 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting along the bottom in Memento Black Ink, then embossed with the Old World Paper Embossing Folder.
The cone was punched from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and stamped with the criss-cross image in Cinnamon Cider Ink.
The scoops were stamped with stamped off Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam Inks on Basic White cardstock, Early Espresso “chips” stamped on top, then punched with the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch.
All were layered on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A piece of White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the cone with a Mini Glue Dot.
An Opal Round was added to the top ice cream scoop for a little bling.

IM167 – Sweet Strawberry

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a fun strawberry décor piece…or is it a cookie?

Whatever it is, it certainly is cute! Of course, Stampin’ Up!’s Sweet Strawberry stamp set and punch worked perfectly for my card!

SWEET STRAWBERRY

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Love You Always Designer Paper was added on top.
- A 1-3/4 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
- The large scallop heart from Stitched Be Mine Dies was cut from Basic White and Pear Pizzazz cardstocks. I used the Basic White scallop heart and the Pear Pizzazz inside and adhere to the front of the card.
- The strawberries were stamped with Memento Black Ink outline and Real Red Ink inside on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the Strawberry Builder Punch.
- The leaves and stems were stamped with Garden Green Ink outline and Pear Pizzazz Ink inside on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the Strawberry Builder Punch.
- The flowers were stamped with Daffodil Delight Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched with the Strawberry Builder Punch.
- All the elements were layered together on the front of the heart.
- Just for You from Sweet Strawberry stamps was stamped with Garden Green Ink.
- A bow was tied with the Playful Pets Ribbon and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.
- Red Resin Hearts were added to the centers of the flowers.

Saturday Blog Hop – Punch Art

This week’s blog hop theme is Punch Art! This theme is one of my favorites! I can’t wait to see what everyone came up with! I used to run monthly Punch Art Classes and they were always SO much fun!

SAILBOAT

I combined my need for a masculine birthday card with our Punch Art theme and made a sailboat using the Ice Cream Cone Punch for the sails! I love the small prints in the Well Suited Designer Paper, but hadn’t used it until now!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Gray cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Poppy Parade cardstock.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White was inked with Seaside Spray Ink using the Blending Brushes around the edges.
The water was create cutting a 1-1/2 x 5 piece of Seaside Spray cardstock with the Curvy Dies, then embossing it with the Old World Paper Embossing Folder. It was adhered to the bottom of the Basic White.
Happy Birthday from Peaceful Moments stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray Ink.
The boat was cut with the Layering Circles from Poppy Parade cardstock, then cut in half and added to the water.
A pole was cut from Early Espresso cardstock and added to the front.
The sails were punched with the Ice Cream Cone Punch from Well Suited DSP and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals next to the pole.
The small heart was cut from Poppy Parade with the Kangaroo Dies and added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
Two silver Metal Pearls were added to the boat.

CCMC654 – Springtime Joy

It’s Thursday again and time for a Create with Connie and Mary challenge! We have a pretty color combination for you to try this week!

SPRINGTIME JOY

Of course, with these colors, I had to use the Hydrangea Hill Designer Paper since it has all those colors, but I wanted to combine it with a different stamp set for a totally different look! I used Springtime Joy on my card today and thought it turned out very sweet!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Seaside Spray floral Hydrangea Hill DSP was added to the front.
The coordinating 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 Rococo Rose print from Hydrangea Hill DSP was placed across the front, then stamped with the Welcome Spring greeting from Springtime Joy in Memento Black Ink.
A 3 x 3 piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock was added to the front.
The 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Basic White was cut with the Stitched with Whimsy Die, then added to the Gorgeous Grape with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The little bunny and flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White and colored with the Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose and Gorgeous Grape Ink Pads and Blender Pens. A tiny bit of Mint Macaron Ink and Blender Pen were added to the leaves. They were fussy cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two white Resin Hearts were added to the centers of the flowers.
