IM166 – Sweet Ice Cream

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have some fun ice cream and popsicle cookies to inspire us!

SWEET ICE CREAM

Of course I had to use the Sweet Ice Cream set for my card, but wanted to do popsicles this time since both were in the photo! Don’t they look yummy?

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Magenta Madness cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- On top is 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock.
- A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper was added to the left side.
- The Layering Oval was cut from Basic White and adhered to the front.
- A 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Magenta Madness cardstock was added across the front and stamped with the greeting from Sweet Ice Cream stamp set in Memento Black Ink.
- The popsicles were stamped with Magenta Madness and Highland Heather Inks and the sprinkles with Gorgeous Grape Ink. They were hand cut and added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The popsicle sticks were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and hand-cut then added under the popsicles.
- Wink of Stella was applied over the popsicles, then Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles were added with Tombow Multipurpose Glue at the top.
- White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and adhered to the popsicle.

Saturday Blog Hop – Top O’ The Morning

This week’s blog hop theme is “Top O’ The Morning”…you guessed it…St. Patrick’s Day cards! I know this will be challenging, because I couldn’t find ANYTHING with clover or shamrocks that I own! But, the good thing is that Stampin’ Up! products can be used in a variety of ways. I set out to create a leprechaun hat!

PLAYFUL ALPHABET

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The hat is 3 x 3-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, the brim of the hat is 1/2 x 3-3/4, adhered to the front.
The hat band is 3/4 x 3 Basic Black cardstock, the buckle is punched from Daffodil Delight with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch. The inside of the buckle is 3/4 x 1 Basic Black cardstock. It was added to the hat band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The four leaf clover is four of the hearts punched from Shaded Spruce with the Kiss Punch. They were adhered together and added to the hat band with Stampin’ Dimensional.
LUCKY was spelled with the Playful Alphabet Dies, cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock.
A Champagne Rhinestone was added to the center of the four leaf clover and the buckle.
Have a Lucky Day from Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink at the bottom.

I’m pretty happy with how this card turned out, especially since I had so little to work with! CCMC653 – Springtime Joy

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch this week!

SPRINGTIME JOY

I went back and forth on which designer paper to use, but I knew I wanted to use my new Springtime Joy stamp set! The animals are SOOO cute and I needed a new Easter set! I decided on the two patterns in the Subtles 6×6 Designer Paper so I got a variety of colors, but it wouldn’t be too busy.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The Subtles DSP pattern strips were cut 1-1/4 x 3-1/2 and stacked on the left side.
A 1-1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Gray Granite cardstock was added on top of the DSP.
The lamb from Springtime Joy was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Gray Granite Blends Combo and Light Flirty Flamingo for the cheeks. The flowers were the same colors as the DSP…So Saffron, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. He was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Springtime Joy was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock, end cut at an angle, and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Rhinestone Jewels were added to the background and the largest flower.

IM165 – Dragonfly Garden

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a beautiful dragonfly bouquet print.

Of course, I had to use Stampin’ Up!’s Dragonfly Garden stamp set…it was just perfect for it!

DRAGONFLY GARDEN

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock.
- The Dandy Garden Designer Paper is cut 3-3/4 x 5 and added to the front.
- A corresponding 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Dandy Garden DSP s added across the front.
- The circle is cut from Basic White cardstock with the Layering Circles die and stamped with the Dragonfly Garden flowers in Crumb Cake Ink. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The dragonfly from Dragonfly Garden stamp set is stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White and the insides with stamped off Misty Moonlight Ink. It is punched with the Dragonfly Punch and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Wink of Stella was applied to the dragonfly.
- The greeting from Dragonfly Dreams is stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on a 5/8 x 2-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake and cut the end at an angle. It is adhered to the circle.
- A trio of Gold Glimmer Dots is added to the background.

This week’s blog hop theme is Masculine Cards! We ALL need ideas for the men in our lives, don’t we? At least, I know I do! I pulled out my Friends are Like Seashells Bundle along with some masculine colors for my card! Do you recognize the layout? I used it on my Darling Donkeys card a couple weeks ago!

FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Oh So Ombre Designer Paper (last chance for free SAB item!), added to the base.
A 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Misty Moonlight was added on top of the DSP,
A 1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of Smoky Slate was adhere across the front.
The Friends are like Seashells were stamped with Misty Moonlight, Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate Inks, then cut with the Seaside Seashells Dies and embossed with the Seashells Embossing Folder. (You do need to trim around the shells a little when using that big die.) I also embossed the sand dollar by rubbing my stylus across the back on the inked areas.
The large Whelk Shell was colored with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Time to Celebrate greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock, cut the end at an angle and added it above the Smoky Slate Strip.
A trio of blue Adhesive Sequins were added in the background.

CCMC652 – Simply Succulents

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! Today’s Color Challenge was kind of a no brainer to use the Hydrangea Haven Bundle…but I wanted to do something a little different!

SIMPLY SUCCULENTS

I decided to give my Simply Succulents Bundle a little love! I hadn’t used the big background die yet…so I pulled out my new Blending Brushes and created a background for it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the front, I used my Blending Brushes and Highland Heather, Just Jade and Seaside Spray Inks to “brush” on the colors.
The 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Basic White panel was cut with the large Potted Succulents Die and added to the front with Monadhesive Glue.
A 1 x 4-1/4 strip of Hydrangea Hill Designer Paper was added across the front.
The label from the Potted Succulents Dies was cut from Seaside Spray cardstock and stamped with Memento Black Ink, then the outline flowers with Seaside Spray Ink in the background. It was blended around the edges with the Blending Brush. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The succulent was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Highland Heather and Seaside Spray cardstocks, brushed with Highland Heather or Seaside Spray Inks and cut with the die. The mother-in-law tongues were cut from Just Jade cardstock and sponged with Just Jade Ink. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Pastel Pearl was added to the label for a little bling!

IM164 – In Bloom

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have some FUN floral jewelry pieces to inspire us!

IN BLOOM BUNDLE

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the Pierced Blooms Dies that go along with the In Bloom stamp set! The detail on them is gorgeous! And, they are a perfect match for today’s challenge, aren’t they?

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Blushing Bride cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 3-1/4 x 5 piece of Peony Garden Designer Paper was added on top.
- A 1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock was added down the left side.
- The greeting was stamped with Night of Navy on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the label in the Pierced Blooms Dies and added to the front.
- The flowers were cut from Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Basic White cardstocks and the leaves from Night of Navy cardstock with the Pierced Blooms Dies and stacked together with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front.
- Midnight Muse Enamel Dots are in the center of the larger flowers and Basic Rhinestones in the small flowers in the background.

This week’s blog hop theme is Cards for Kids! This should be fun! Stampin’ Up! has a lot of really nice stamp sets suitable for children! I decided to use my Kangaroo & Company for the first time! I just couldn’t resist those cute little faces!

KANGAROO & COMPANY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake is added on top.
The 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Flower & Field Designer Paper is added down the right side. (Get this as your FREE SAB selection…ends Feb. 28th!)
A 1-1/4 x 4 strip of corresponding Flower & Field DSP is added across the bottom (I love this stripe!)
Next a 1/4 x 4 strip of Flirty Flamingo cardstock is added on top.
A Layering Circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the die and added to the front.
The small kangaroo, presents and birthday hat were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored with Crumb Cake Combo, Mango Melody Combo, Real Red Combo and Shaded Spruce Combo Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Kangaroo Dies and added to circle.
It’s Your Day from Kangaroo & Company was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the circle.
Finally some Black & White Twine from Playful Pets Trim was tied in a bow and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.
