CS186 – Choose Happy

This month our Creatively Simple challenge theme is Easter as the focus on our cards! Here’s my last card this month for the Easter theme!

CHOOSE HAPPY

I had forgotten all about this little bunny in the Choose Happy stamp set! I thought a trio of them would be cute stamped on our new Framed Scenes Die ovals…so happy to have ovals back!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Peach Pie cardstock was added on top.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Paper was added to the front, too, and stamped with the greetings from Choose Happy stamp set in Memento Black Ink in the upper right corner.
Three ovals were cut with the Frame Scenes Die from Basic White cardstock. The tops were brushed with Pool Party Ink and the bottoms with Lemon Lime Twist Inks using Blending Brushes. They were all stamped with the Bunny from Choose Happy stamp set in Memento Black Ink.
The bunnies were colored with Lemon Lime Twist, Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two flowers were stamped with Memento Blak Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Pretty in Pink and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added next to the ovals.
Some Party Dots were added to the centers of the flowers.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have some Easter cookies to inspire you. Don’t they look yummy?

EASTER BUNNY

Yep…this week was kind of obvious for me to use the Easter Bunny Bundle. But…I did go a little different direction by using brighter colors! Stampin’ Up! just doesn’t have a true pastel pink color. I keep hoping! Both Petal Pink and Blushing Bride have too much brown in them for a true pink.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Online Exclusives, crosshatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder, then cut with the Radiating Stitches Die. It was adhered to the front.
- The bunnies were punched from two patterns in the Flowers & More Designer Paper (Host).
- The greeting was stamped with Polished Pink Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Something Fancy Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bunnies were then added slightly over the label.
- The flower clusters were stamped with Memento Black Ink, the colored with Fresh Freesia and Parakeet Party Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the bunnies with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two pink In Color Opal Rounds were added to the label.

Saturday Blog Hop – Easter

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Next major holiday is Easter, so let’s share some Easter card ideas! I just love the Easter Bunny Stamp set. The punch is fun, too…but you can easily cut out the images like I did here!

EASTER BUNNY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of tulips Flowers & More DSP (Host) was added to a 4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock, then added to the front.
The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Vellum was cut with the Deckled Rectangles Die and adhered to the DSP (place adhesive towards the middle so it will be hidden.)
The Polished Pink cardstock was punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch and added to the vellum.
The bunny and eggs from Easter Bunny Stamp Set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, colored with Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Parakeet Party, Light Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the punched label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The grass was stamped several times along the edge of the 1/2 x 2-3/4 Shaded Spruce cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink, then hand-cut. Add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp Happy Easter on 1/2 x 3-1/2 Basic White cardstock with Polished Pink Ink. Cut ends at an angle. Adhere to front.
Add two brass butterflies to upper left corner of vellum.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Animals! We will design our cards using this theme!

EASTER BUNNY

I love the sweet little faces on the bunnies in the Easter Bunny stamp set…but they aren’t just for Easter! Here’s a cute little card suitable for ANY occasion!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mint Macaron cardstock is added on top.
The 2-1/2 x 5 piece of Mint Macaron Country Gingham Designer Paper was added down the center.
The 2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the “Hi” greeting from Easter Bunny stamp set with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner.
A 1 x 3-1/2 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was torn across the top, then added to the bottom of the Basic White for the “ground”
The bunny and three carrots from Easter Bunny Stamp Set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock. The bunny was colored with SU500, SU600, Crumb Cake Combo and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. The carrots were colored with Dark Pumpkin Pie and Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
The bunny was punched using the Easter Bunny Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The carrots were hand-cut and placed in the “ground” with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
A trio of orange Iridescent Pastel Gems were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week is a bright color challenge!

EASTER BUNNY

I know I’ve said it before, but these bunnies are just darling!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2-3/4 x 5 piece of red floral Regency Park DSP was added down the center.
The 2-1/4 x 4-1/4 of polka dot Regency Park DSP was wrapped with White Crinkled Ribbon and tied in a bow, then added towards the left side.
The ovals from the Framed Florets Dies were cut from Basic White cardstock.
The oval center portion was stamped with the Easter Bunny in Memento Black Ink and colored with Light Smoky Slate and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends for the ear and cheek.
The grass was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink along the bottom and colored with Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.
The flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends, then trimmed and adhered to the neck.
The ovals were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background of the oval and one in the center of the large flower.
The greeting from Easter Bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Sweet Sorbet cardstock, then end cut at an angle.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week is a pretty color challenge!

EASTER BUNNY

This Easter Bunny stamp set is the cutest! I love their little faces! I decided to make some pastel bunnies this week! This card is easy to make, even if the Bunny Punch is sold out!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Fancy Flora DSP was added on top.
The 3-1/2 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut at a triangle on the end by measuring up 1″ on each side from the bottom and finding the center point. It was adhered to the front.
Happy Easter from Easter Bunny was stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink along the bottom.
A 1/2 x 4-1/2 strip of Orchid Oasis was added across the front.
The bunny was stamped on Fresh Freesia, Orchid Oasis and Balmy Blue cardstock with Memento Black Ink and punched (or hand-cut). The eyes were colored with a white gel pen.
The tails are made with the end of a Q-tip that was removed from the stick.
The bunnies were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the Basic White layer.
The flower was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with the Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue and Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and added under the greeting.
A trio of Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems were added to the background for a little bling.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Favors

It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme is Easter Favors this week! I can’t wait to see all the ideas!

I decided to use the Friends & Flowers Stamp set to make a cute little bunny for the front of my favor!

The Blushing Bride base is 2 x 11, scored at 1/2, 5-1/2 and 5-7/8″
On top is a 1-7/8 x 5-3/8″ piece of Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper.
The face and ears from Friends & Flowers were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on Whisper White and punched with the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch and Festive Flower Builder Punch. The body was punched with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and the tail with the Blossom Bunch Punch from Whisper White cardstock.
The ears and checks were colored with the Blushing Bride Marker.
Happy Easter from Circle of Spring stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink in the center.
A bow was tied with the Mint Macaron/Black Baker’s Twine and added to the ear with a Mini Glue Dot.
The bunny was added to the front of a Lots of Label Framelit cut from Birthday Bouquet DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added to the front of the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To hold the favor closed, the medium flower from Blossom Bunch Punch was punched from Blushing Bride and the small flower from Mint Macaron cardstock, adhered together with Mini Glue Dots and added to the Mini Clothespin with Mini Glue Dots.

Here’s the inside. I found some of these chocolate crisp bunnies at the Dollar Tree Store…3 for $1 and they fit perfectly inside! I used a couple Mini Glue Dots to hold in place!

SUOC91 Eggstra Spectacular

It's time for another Stampin'' Up! Only Challenge and this time it is all about BANNERS! They are SO popular now and you see all different types! I'm amazed at how different all the Design Team cards were this week! Go check them out on SUO Challenges blog to see for yourself!

Here's my version. I did a "bunting" style banner using the smallest Starburst Framelits and scoring them almost in half. Doesn't it give the banner a completely different look than the triangles or pennants?

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White, folded in half.
I cut a 4 x 5 1/2 layer of the green print in Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper (SAB selection!) and used the Starburst Framelit to cut out the starburst in the lower right corner.
I strung some White Bakers Twine across the left top corner and adhered the ends in the back.
I cut 5 of the smallest Starburst Framelits from Always Artichoke cardstock, then scored them slightly off center (about 5/8"). Then I fitted the Starbursts around the Bakers Twine. Two of the center ones are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I tied bows of White Bakers Twine and added them to the ends with Mini Glue Dots.
I used the flower Itty Bitty Punch and punched 5 So Saffron flowers and added small Rhinestones in the center.
I placed the Designer Paper layer on the Whisper White Base, then stamped the bunny image from Eggstra Spectacular with Black Stazon thru the Starburst opening on the Whisper White.
I used my AquaPainter and So Saffron Marker to watercolor the bunny. I also watercolored over the greeting with Pistachio Pudding Marker.
Finally, I added a trio of the flower Itty Bitty punches under the greeting with Rhinestones in the center.
