CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween Cuties

Our theme this week on the Saturday Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop is “Halloween Cuties”! Halloween doesn’t have to be scary…there are lots of cute little monsters and costumes out there! This is super quick and easy card idea!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, folded in half.
A 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Halloween Night Designer Paper was added to the bottom of a 3-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Some Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the Whisper White cardstock several times to hide the seam.
The pumpkins from Spooky Fun were stamped with Tangerine Tango Ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the faces with Memento Blak Ink, then cut with the Halloween Scenes Framelits.
Happy Halloween greeting was curved on the clear block and stamped with Memento Black over the pumpkins.
A trio of Halloween Night Enamel Dots are scattered on the front.

That’s it!!! SUPER easy, huh?

CCMC429 Candy Cane Christmas

Oh…so much fun this week! My girlfriends are in town for our stamping retreat week! We’ve been chatting, laughing and having a GREAT time (miss you Linda!) I’m getting lots done…almost finished with my personal Christmas cards…yeah!

It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge…it’s a FUN sketch! Grab your stamps and play along!

First thing I thought of was all the small images in Candy Cane Christmas, so here’s what I came up with. I let the greeting be the focal image.

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
A 3 x 4 panel of Candy Cane Lane Designer Paper is placed on the top. A small 3/4 x 3-1/4 strip of striped DSP was added across the front.
The greeting from Candy Cane Christmas was stamped with Real Red on scrap Whisper White and cut with the Layering Circles framelits, then layered on a larger Scallop Layering Circle of Red Glimmer Paper. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The mitten and candy cane images were stamped with Real Red Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, the star shape with Chocolate Chip ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and the tree with Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White cardstock. They were all cut out by hand and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Santa’s Sleigh

Really…I have been stamping…a lot!!! I’ve got several craft fairs coming up and classes…I just haven’t had time to photograph and blog what I’ve been doing! This week, I have several friends coming over for a “mini” retreat! Looking forward to devoting some time just to stamping with them. I want to get my Christmas cards done, but still have no idea what I’m doing!

This card was originally intended for my Christmas Card class last week, but then I realized that there was very little stamping on it! And…a couple of the other projects were Big Shot intensive also. So, I set this one aside and made up a different card using Santa’s Sleigh. I love the Gold Glimmer on top of Mint Macaron! REALLY pretty in person!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mint Macaron, folded in half.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is embossed with the Pretty Paisleys Embossing Folder.
The Merry Christmas Wishes greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the bottom of the oval.
The sleigh base is cut from Mint Macaron and the filigree top from Gold Glimmer Paper with the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlets and adhered together, then placed on the front in the center of the embossed oval.
The presents were stamped with Memento Black on scrap Whisper White, then watercolored with an AquaPainter and Cherry Cobbler, Mint Macaron, and Delightful Dijon Markers. They were adhered inside the sleigh.
The stars were cut with the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlet from Gold Glimmer Paper and added randomly to the front.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Smell My Feet Treats

Our theme this week on the Saturday Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop is “Halloween Smell My Feet Treats”! Quite appropriate this time of year, don’t you think? I made a bunch of these little favor “bags” for my craft show and sold out. For this one, I used the cute mummy from Jar of Haunts and Happy Halloween greeting from Spooky Fun!

Here are the details:

The Halloween Nights Designer Paper pouch is 4 x 6 and scored with the 6 at the top at 1-3/4, 2-1/4, 2-3/4, 4-1/2, 5, 5-1/2, then turned and scored at 1/2″ The sides are accordion pleated and the side tab adhered with Tear & Tape and the bottom 1/2″ tabs trimmed so only the width tab folds up in the back to close the bottom.
1/4″ strips of coordinating DSP were added to the front and back top edges.
The Swirly Bird swirl was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
The Mummy was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Smoky Slate Marker and Pear Pizzazz for the face. Clear Wink of Stella adds some sparkle.
The spider was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then the string hand-drawn with the Basic Black Marker.
Happy Halloween from Spooky Fun Stamp Set was curved on the block to follow the Duet Banner Punch and stamped with Memento Black on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then punched.
The images were added to the front of the pouch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside the mini Hershey Bar was wrapped with 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Halloween Nights DSP, stamped with the greeting from Jar of Haunts in Memento Black Ink.
The spider was stamped with Memento Black Ink and the string hand-drawn with Basic Black Marker.

CCMC428 Twinkle Trees

It’s Thursday, and that means it is time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It’s a beautiful color challenge this week. Grab your stamps and play along!

Here’s my card. I’ve been wanting to do a shaker card with the new Adhesive Strips and my Twinkle Trees stamp set. I got that stamp set, then had a complete mental block on what to do with it! But, I thought this came out pretty nice!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sweet Sugarplum cardstock, folded in half.
The Pool Party on front is cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and embossed with the Softly Falling folder. The largest Layering Oval cut out the shape on the front towards the top.
May Your Christmas greeting from Wonderful Year stamp set was stamped along the bottom with Tuxedo Black Ink.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White was stamped with the squiggle tree in Twinkle Trees using Sweet Sugarplum Ink (I penciled the oval opening so I could get it lined up in the center) and filled in with the small bokeh dots with Pear Pizzazz Ink. Surrounding the tree is snowflakes using Pool Party Ink.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Window Sheet was adhered to the back of the Pool Party layer, then the Adhesive Foam Tape Strips added all around the edges of the oval on the back side. It was filled with the Fancy Frost Sequins and some microbeads I had on hand. The Whisper White layer went on top of the Foam Strips, then it was adhered to the base Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.
The Silver 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon was tied in a bow, then adhered with a Mini Glue Dot to the top of the oval.

Tin of Tags

Several weeks ago, I worked on several cards using Tin of Tags and these soft colors. You can see the one I posted already HERE. So, here’s another slightly different one I did!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Smoky Slate cardstock, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Paper is textured, so I sponged Pink Pirouette Ink over top to bring out the embossed look, then adhered to the base card.
A 2-1/4 x 4 panel of Whisper White was randomly stamped with the snowflake in Tin of Cards with Pink Pirouette and Smoky Slate Inks. It was added to a 2-1/2 x 4 panel of Smoky Slate, then adhered across the front.
Warm Wishes from Tin of Cards stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate on Whisper White, then cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. It was adhered to the Scallop Layering Circle slightly larger of Smoky Slate cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A short length of Silver Glimmer Ribbon was added from the back of the Fancy Frost DSP layer to under the circle. Then a bow tied with more Silver Glimmer Ribbon and adhered with Mini Glue Dots to the front.

Girl with Pigtails Punch Art

My grand-daughter Quinn’s second birthday was yesterday and I made a special little card for her based on a couple ideas I saw on Pinterest! Here’s the birthday girl! She is just SO precious!

And here is the card I made! Her mom likes to have her hair up in pigtails a lot!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pink Pirouette, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Watermelon Wonder cardstock, embossed with the Confetti Embossing Folder.
Her face is the larger Layering Circle cut from some retired Blush Blossom cardstock.
Her hair is the same size Layering Circle with Soft Suede cardstock, cut almost in half, them trimmed for some “bangs” and adhered to the top of the face circle.
The pigtails were 1/2 x 3″ strips of Soft Suede cardstock, cut in small strips (leave about 1/2″ uncut to adhere behind her head). Curl with bone folder.
Add two small flowers punched from In Colors Pattern DSP in the Watermelon Wonder color.
Cut a smaller Layering circle from Blush Blossom for her “arms”, then I used the retired 2-3/8″ Circle Circle to cut her polka dot dress, trimming away the sides on an angle. (I didn’t even think about the scalloped Layering Circles until I was already finished…but those would work…use the about the size of the head!)
Adhere dress and head to the base of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut two Black Eyes and 2 small white highlights with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and nose with Blush Blossom, add to face.
Sponge Blushing Bride Ink for cheeks with Sponge Dauber.
Hand draw mouth with Basic Black Marker.
Add Pearls to hair bows and top of dress.
Stamp Happy Birthday from Confetti Celebrations with Memento Black Ink, punch with the Classic Label punch. Add to front of card.
Cut the 2 from retired File Tabs Framelits from Silver Glimmer Paper and adhere to card.

I think this turned out SUPER cute and love how easy it was to personalize with her hair color and birthday!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween Boo

Our theme this week on the Saturday Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop is “HALLOWEEN BOO”! We’re using “Spooky or Scary” Halloween ideas on our cards this week! With the Holiday Catalog, we have a lot of choice! Of course…I chose the eyes from Jar of Haunts. Can’t get much spookier than that! It was this image that sold me on this stamp set, but this was the first time I had used it!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black cardstock folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Old Olive cardstock.
On the 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 Whisper White cardstock layer, the brick image from Ghoulish Grunge was stamped twice with Smoky Slate Ink in the center.
A 3/4 x 4 strip of Halloween Night DSP was placed across the front.
The Smoky Slate/Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around and tied with a bow.
Happy Halloween from Jar of Haunts was stamped with Real Red Ink in the upper right corner.
The jar was stamped with Memento Black Ink, as well as the eyeballs and the slime and colored with Old Olive, Real Red, Marina Mist Stampin’ Write Markers. It was cut with the Everyday Jar Framelits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Is that sufficiently spooky enough for you? I think so!
