Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Cindy Elam 2026

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed. We will use the Colors or Layout of her design and recreate our version using NEW stamps/bundles or DSP! For our next “Case the Designer” week we are “Casing Cindy Elam”!

Here’s the card I selected from her past posts.

SEASONAL CELEBRATIONS

One of the reasons I purchase this Seasonal Celebrations set was for the variety of simple holiday icons…like this shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day! I only wished they would have put some small greetings for each of the holidays in there, too! I don’t have any here that say “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder and adhered to the front.
I used the Three Banner Punch and punched three banners from Garden Green cardstock, then cut them in half so I could “extend” them under the arch. They were adhered to the front.
The Everyday Arches was cut from Basic White using the Die and the greeting from Banner Sayings stamped with Garden Green at the bottom. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the cut banners.
The shamrock was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Basic White and hand-cut, then added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the shamrock stem.
A trio of Dear Dots were added to the background.

Nice and easy way to copy Cindy’s card…think I’ll do a few of these for my St. Patrick’s Day cards to mail out! Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day and this plate of shamrock cookies is just perfect for our inspiration!

LUCKY CLOVER

Stampin’ Up! hasn’t offered a true St. Patrick’s Day stamp set in AGES and this is one you should grab! I like any excuse to send the grandkids a card (plus a little money!) The coordinating punch has sold out, but the four-leaf clover shape is SO easy to cut by hand!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Parakeet Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Shaded Spruce was added on top.
- The 3 x 5 diagonal print from Flowers & More DSP (Host) was added towards the bottom.
- The 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped randomly with Shaded Spruce Ink and the cluster of shamrocks stamp, then adhered over the DSP.
- The large four-leaf clover was stamped once with Parakeet Party Ink and once with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the Lucky Clover Punch (or hand-cut). They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Three small flowers from Petal Park Builder Punch were punched from Basic White cardstock and added around the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some yellow Glossy Dots were added to the centers of the flowers.
- Happy St. Patrick’s Day was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on 3/4 x 3-1/2 strip of Parakeet Party cardstock, the end cut with a flag end. It was tucked under the four-leaf clover.
- Some gold Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added to the center of the four-leaf clover with a Mini Glue Dot.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! With St. Patrick’s Day in the US just around the corner, we thought we would show off some Go Green cards! They don’t have to be St. Patrick’s Day themes…but bonus if they are. But we are featuring the color green!

LUCKY CLOVER

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two 1 x 4 pieces of Flowers & More DSP (Host) were added to the top and bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
Two 1/8 x 4 strips of Garden Green were added on top to hide the DSP seam.
A Decorative Circle was punched from Gold/Rose Gold Glimmer Paper and adhered to the front.
The four-leaf clover was stamped with Garden Green Ink and punched with the Lucky Clover punch (but it is easy enough to cut out!) It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Garden Green Ink on 7/8 x 3 Basic White and the end cut at an angle. It was layered on a 1-1/8 x 3-1/8 piece of DSP, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some green In Color Matte Dots were added to the center and on the Decorative Circle.

Saturday Blog Hop – Go Green

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is “GO GREEN” in honor of St. Patrick’s Day celebrated here in the United States on March 17th. I don’t normally do a LOT for this holiday, except put out a couple decorations on my entry table! And, the only thing stamped on here is the greeting!

HONEYBEE HOME

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, the greeting from Honeybee Home is stamped with Garden Green Ink in the lower left corner.
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Garden Green cardstock was embossed with the Hive Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Pattern Party DSP was added to a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Basic Black cardstock, then adhered to the front.
The medallion shape from the Hippo & Friends Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Four narrow hearts from Sweet Talk Dies were cut from Garden Green cardstock and the stem from the Tulips Die from Garden Green cardstock. All were assembled on the medallion shape with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Matte Black Dot was added to the center and small ones to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Top O’ The Morning

This week’s blog hop theme is “Top O’ The Morning”…you guessed it…St. Patrick’s Day cards! I know this will be challenging, because I couldn’t find ANYTHING with clover or shamrocks that I own! But, the good thing is that Stampin’ Up! products can be used in a variety of ways. I set out to create a leprechaun hat!

PLAYFUL ALPHABET

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The hat is 3 x 3-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, the brim of the hat is 1/2 x 3-3/4, adhered to the front.
The hat band is 3/4 x 3 Basic Black cardstock, the buckle is punched from Daffodil Delight with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch. The inside of the buckle is 3/4 x 1 Basic Black cardstock. It was added to the hat band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The four leaf clover is four of the hearts punched from Shaded Spruce with the Kiss Punch. They were adhered together and added to the hat band with Stampin’ Dimensional.
LUCKY was spelled with the Playful Alphabet Dies, cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock.
A Champagne Rhinestone was added to the center of the four leaf clover and the buckle.
Have a Lucky Day from Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink at the bottom.

I’m pretty happy with how this card turned out, especially since I had so little to work with! CCMC346 Hello Life

We have a fun color challenge for you today over on Create with Connie and Mary. Stop by and see all the fun ideas that our Challenge Team did this week! Here’s the color combination…does it bring any ideas to mind? It certainly did for our team!

Here’s my card. I adapted it from the March Calendar page that I made for my calendars this year using Hello Life!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Wild Wasabi, folded in half.
The Sahara Sand layer is 4 x 5 1/4.
On top of that is a 2 x 5 1/4 strip of Back to Black Designer Paper and I colored a few of the chevrons with the Wild Wasabi Blendabilities (yes, before I knew they weren’t available any longer…I’m sure a regular marker would work!)
Across the bottom, is a 1 x 4 strip of Basic Black.
On the 2 1/4 x 3 3/4 piece of Whisper White, I stamped the heart from Hello Life three times in the shape of a clover, then added the heart stem. I stamped Hello Life with Tuxedo Black ink. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a Itty Bitty Accent flower punched from Wild Wasabi with a Rhinestone jewel to the center of the clover!
Finally, I punched the Artisan Label from Basic Black, then tucked it under the Whisper White panel.

Leprechaun Favor

How do you like my new look? I've been wanting to do a complete overhaul on my blog and recently had Victoria from VK Designs do my design! I love how it ties in with my blog and Stampin' Up! group name!

I don't do a lot for St. Patrick's day…but I worked on this little Leprechaun Favor while I was at my stamping retreat last weekend! I think he turned out pretty cute! I still need to get some gold coins to fill in the center. The base I adapted from the snowman favors that were shown around at Christmas time using the Envelope Punch Board.

A few quick details:

The base is 2 1/8 x 11 Garden Green, scored at 5 1/4 and 5 3/4 off the long side at top.
With the Envelope Punch Board, punch at 2 1/8, flip to other side and repeat, then do the same from the other end.
I used a variety of punches with Blushing Bride, Garden Green, Basic Black and Champagne Glimmer Paper.
The pot is the Deco Label Framelit with one of the ends cut off.
The Certainly Celery Taffeta Ribbon ties the favor closed.

Isn't he fun??? I think he turned out pretty cute!

SUOC65 – St. Patty’s Day Owl

Over on SUO Challenge this time, it's all about GO GREEN! I was kicking myself when the only current St. Patrick's Day stamp I could find that I had was the little shamrock in Every Little Bit (or the teeny tiny one in Itty Bitties!) But…then I thought the owl would look cute dressed up in St. Patrick's Day finery! So…here he is! Can you tell what I used for the hat????

I actually LOVE how this turned out!!! Love the two shades of green, even though they probably SHOULD clash, they work together nicely for this card! Here are the details!

Started with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Garden Green cardstock, folded in half to make base card.
Added a layer of 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White over top.
Next is a 2 1/2 x 4 piece of Sunshine & Sprinkles polka dot Designer Paper.
I wrapped the Old Olive Striped Ribbon around and tied on the front towards the left side.
I used the shamrock image from Every Little Bit in Basic Black randomly over top of the DSP. Really personalized it, didn't it?
I cut the 3rd from smallest Window Frame from Garden Green, then added a 2 1/2" Circle punched from Whisper White cardstock.
For the Owl: I punched the owl from Basic Black cardstock, the vest from the same Polka Dot DSP. The eyes were 3/8" Circles of Whisper White with 1/4" Circles of Garden Green on top, then the Basic Black pupils. I also punched a 3/8" of Basic Black, cut it in half, and added the eyelids to his eyes. The heart is from Garden Green cardstock, too.
For the Hat: I punched the Small Oval from Lucky Limeade, then punched the opening again (not the punched piece)…that made my hat brim, I trimmed off the excess points on the end. Then I punched the Petite Curly Punch from Lucky Limeade, and cut off diagonal slivers on each side so it looked tapered. I did the same with Basic Black for the hat band as I did for the brim, just trimming it at the sides of the hat! Finally, a Rhinestone jewel in the center of the hatband!
The owl is added to the front of the Whisper White circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped Happy St. Patrick's Day from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Black on Lucky Limeade and punched with the Modern Label Punch. It's placed under the Owl feet so he is standing on it!
