CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Look like Christmas

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!”. And one of the exciting things about Christmas is wrapping and opening gifts, right? So, I created a gift package from DSP. Can you tell what I used for the bow?

COTTAGE WREATHS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock is embossed with the Whimsical Woodlands Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Sweetest Christmas polka dot print along the bottom.
I cut a 2-1/4 x 2-1/2 striped Sweetest Christmas DSP for the gift.
I added two cross strips of 1/4″ Red Glimmer Paper and added the gift to the front.
The background of the bow was cut from Poppy Parade cardstock using the Build A Butterfly Dies and the striped detail cut from Red Glimmer Paper with the Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals at the top of the present.
Merry Christmas from Cottage Wreaths stamp set was stamped with Garden Green Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock, then cut with a flag end. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the gift.
Three Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background for a little bling and one to the center of the bow.

CCMC743 – Sweet Candy Canes

Hello! HAPPY THANKSGIVING in the US!!! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This time it is a fun sketch to inspire us!

SWEET CANDY CANES

I love bright pink and bright green for decorating the holidays! Just a little something different than the traditional red and green colors! I have a multicolor white Christmas tree in my rec room that is just so FUN and festive! It will get put up tomorrow! And, I’ve noticed a huge variety in candy cane colors this year! I was tempted to buy the Starburst ones!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Celebrate Everything Designer Paper was added on top.
The oval was cut with the Framed Florets Dies and stamped the greeting from Sweet Candy Cane stamp set with Polished Pink Ink and added to the front.
A 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of coordinating Celebrate Everything DSP was placed towards the bottom of the oval.
The Wonderful Snowflake was added to the bottom left side with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The candy cane was stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White cardstock. Some clear packing tape was added over top and then it was cut with the Candy Cane Dies. It gives it the perfect shine! It was added over the snowflake with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Polished Pink Woven Ribbon was tied in a bow and added to the candy cane with Mini Glue Dots.
Finally, two pink In Color Opal Rounds were added below the greeting.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Gratitude

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Gratitude”! After the year I’ve experienced, I have a lot of gratitude just for life and the people in my life. Especially for my husband who is my rock during my illness! I’ve learned not to take anything for granted as things can change without notice. I love the “so grateful” greeting in Soft Seedlings, so built my card around it.

I also wanted “brighter” pumpkins, so colored the pumpkins in this Rustic Harvest DSP with the Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. Along with the leaves in Old Olive and the stems with SU200. Really makes this DSP pop!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 2-3/4 x 5 piece of Rustic Harvest DSP was colored with Stampin’ Blends and added to the front.
The coordinating 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 rust stripe print in Rustic Harvest DSP was added across the front.
Old Olive cardstock was cut with the Stylish Shapes label die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
So Grateful from Soft Seedlings stamp set was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on 3/4 x 2-1/2 Basic White cardstock and cut with a flag end. It was adhered to the Old Olive cardstock.
The acorn and leaf from Fond of Autumn was stamped on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with the same Blends as the pumpkins, then cut with the Autumn Bouquet Dies. They were added to the label with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some gold Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC742 – Santa’s Delivery

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This time it is a color combination to inspire us!

SANTA’S DELIVERY

This is the first time I’ve had a chance to use my Santa’s Delivery Suite! But this color combination worked well using the Santa’s Express DSP…and I love this Ho Ho Ho pattern!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Ho Ho Ho pattern from Santa’s Express Designer Paper was adhered on top.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Poppy Parade cardstock was added to the bottom.
The largest square from Stylish Shapes Dies as cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The track was cut from Smoky Slate cardstock using the Santa’s Train Dies and adhered across the bottom of the square.
The train with Santa was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Mint Macaron, Petal Pink, Poppy Parade and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Santa’s Train Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Black Solid Faceted Gems were added above the smokestack.
Some gold Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added to the smokestack with a Mini Glue Dot.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Vintage Thanksgiving

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Vintage Thanksgiving”! What makes a card look vintage? I thought this frame and background DSP kind of looked vintage, so I went with it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The frame was cut from Early Espresso cardstock with the Fabulous Frames Die and Stampin’ Dimensionals place along the back of the frame.
A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of He’s All That Designer Paper was added to the back of the frame over the Dimensionals, then added to the front. The scroll images from Hello Harvest were stamped in the corners with Early Espresso Ink.
The pumpkin was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the stem from Mossy Meadow cardstock, the vine from Early Espresso cardstock and cut/embossed with the Rustic Pumpkin Dies. They were added inside the frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two leaves from Hello Harvest stamp set were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with the Rustic Pumpkin Dies. They were added under the pumpkin.
The greeting from Hello Harvest was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and hand-cut around the words. It was added to the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, two Leaf Label & Amber Gems were added to the pumpkin.

CCMC741 – Nature’s Harvest

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This time it is a fun sketch to inspire us!

NATURE’S HARVEST

I haven’t had this Nature’s Harvest stamp set and dies out in a LONG while, so thought it perfect to use for today’s sketch challenge! I combined it with this year’s Celebrate Everything Designer Paper (can you tell I LOVE this paper?)

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form base card.
The 3 x 5-1/2 piece of yellow plaid Celebrate Everything DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and adhered to the front of the base card.
The coneflowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and cut with the Harvest Dies.
The background cattails were cut from Crushed Curry cardstock with the Harvest Dies and sponged with Cajun Craze Ink along the edges. Add to background DSP with the coneflowers popped up in front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thank you from Nature’s Harvest stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the small label die in the Harvest Dies. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied around the flower stem in a bow.
A trio of Rustic Metallic Dots were added to the background.

CS62 – Christmas Banners

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Celebrate Holidays”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in November using that theme!

CHRISTMAS BANNERS

Again, here is a quick and easy card that mainly uses designer paper to create!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of flocked Snowflake Vellum was added to the base card, centered.
The 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Storybook Gnomes Designer Paper was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
One of the Wonderful Snowflakes elements was colored with Pool Party and Balmy Blue Inks using the Blending Brush. It was added to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The banner from Christmas Banners stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White cardstock with Balmy Blue Ink and the greeting with Pacific Point Ink. It was cut with the Christmas Banners Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of clear Rhinestone Jewels were added in the center of the Wonderful Snowflake element.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Thank You

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Thank You”! We are getting to the time of year where I personally send out a LOT of thank you notes! I still have a stack of thank you notes that I need to write from when I was sick! This was a simple one to make, but I love how it turned out. I’ve used the new Framed Florets Bundle and is available as an early release, but the stamp set and dies will be in the new Jan-June 2023 Mini Catalog!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Framed Florets leaves branch twice in the lower left corner (leaving space for the flowers) and once in the lower right corner with Soft Suede Ink.
The greeting from Framed Florets was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink.
The two flowers and leaves were stamped with Soft Suede Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, cut with the Framed Florets Dies, then colored with the Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and SU500 Stampin’ Blends. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Champagne Rhinestones were added to the background.
