SUOC99 Be The Star

It’s time for a new challenge over on SUO Challenges!  This time the theme is Summer:  Ocean, Beach or Patriotic!  That’s a nice range, so grab your stamps and play along!

 

I went with the Patriotic theme for mine using the new Stampin’ Up! Be The Star stamp set and Star Framelits!

 

SUOC99 Be The Star

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Pacific Point cardstock, folded in half.
  • On the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Real Red, I embossed with the Stylish Stripes folder.
  • I added a panel of 1 1/4 x 4 Whisper White across the bottom.  On the You’re a Star greeting from Pictogram Punches I inked up with Real Red and Pacific Point Markers.  I punched the star from the new Silver Glimmer Paper and placed over the red star.
  • I stamped the Medium and Small stars from Be The Star with Pacific Point and Real Red and cut them out with the Star Framelits.  I added them to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • In the centers I punched more Silver Glimmer stars and added them with Mini Glue Dots.

Of course, I had to make a special card to celebrate the KICK OFF of PREVIEW WEEK!  I used Beautiful Bunch again…just love that stamp set and punch!  I think it makes a beautiful sunflower!  This card is made up of almost all NEW stuff!  Woohoo!

Beautiful Bunch

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock folded in half.
  • On the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Crumb Cake, add a 1 3/4 x 4 piece of Lullaby Designer Paper with the Hello Honey Stripe.
  • Wrap around the Hello Honey Satin Stitched Ribbon and tie a knot.
  • Stamp Let’s Celebrate from Sumthin’ Sumthin’ in Mossy Meadow in the lower right corner.
  • Use the Fun Frame Impressions Folder with Whisper White cardstock, then cut out.  Add to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the Beautiful Bunch flower twice with Hello Honey on So Saffron cardstock and punch with the Fun Flower punch.
  • Stamp the flower again with Early Espresso Ink on Early Espresso, and punch out the center with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.  Add to the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add a Rhinestone Jewel.
  • Use the other flower image from Beautiful Bunch and stamp with Mossy Meadow Ink on Mossy Meadow cardstock, punch with the Fun Flower Punch, then cut the petals apart to use as leaves.  Add to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Don’t you LOVE it???  I do!!!

CCMC307 Beautiful Bunch

Oh, I was SO excited to see another flower stamp set and punch combination called Beautiful Bunch and Fun Flower Punch!  I know…we have several…but this has a LARGE flower and it is so pretty that I couldn’t resist!  And, Create with Connie and Mary’s sketch this week was perfect for a large flower!  Here’s my card.  I combined Beautiful Bunch with Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set!

Details of my card:

  1. I stamped the dotted pattern from Kinda Eclectic with Lost Lagoon Ink across the middle of the Whisper White.
  2. Then I added Mossy Meadow leaves (making them lighter by stamping off) on top and bottom of the dotted image.
  3. I wrapped the Strawberry Slush twine around twice and adhered in the back.
  4. The greeting was stamped with Strawberry Slush Ink in the lower right corner.
  5. I stamped the flower from Beautiful Bunch twice with Strawberry Slush on Pink Pirouette and punched with the Fun Flower Punch.  I layered them together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  6. Next I stamped the flower again with Strawberry Slush on Daffodil Delight and punched with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle.  Did you know it fits PERFECTLY???  I added it to the center with another Stampin’ Dimensional.  And there is a little Rhinestone to add a little sparkle.
  7. I didn’t want to add another punch, but the Lost Lagoon butterfly just jumped on there…I added Rhinestones for the body and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot.
  8. The Whisper White layer was added to the  5 1/2 x 8 1/2 base  of Strawberry Slush, folded in half.

So Very Happy 2

Because my order didn’t come in before my swap cards were due for the Control Freak Swappers Preorder Swap last month, I had to improvise with a new stamp set I received at Leadership, So Very Happy!  I was able to use some new Designer Paper, Park Lane, because I had received it on the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Cruise, along with the Coastal Cabana Twine they wrapped our Pillow Gifts in!  Nice to have new things!  I’m happy with how this turned out!

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral, folded in half.
  2. I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Crumb Cake on top.
  3. Across the bottom, I used two patterns from Park Lane Designer Paper and cut them 1 x 4.
  4. I cut two 2 x 3 1/2 panels of Whisper White and Coastal Cabana, then used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch on the tops.
  5. On the Whisper White, I stamped the owl with Black Stazon, then used my AquaPainter and Crumb Cake Marker to watercolor.  I added a little Calypso Coral Marker for his beak and stamped the flag banner with Calypso Coral Ink in his wing.
  6. I placed the tags together with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then used the Naturals Chevron Ribbon thru the hole, and tied together with a piece of Coastal Cabana Twine.
  7. The greeting is from the same, So Very Happy stamp set, stamped in Soft Suede Ink.
  8. Finally, for a little bling, I added a Rhinestone Jewel at the top of the flag banner!

 

The Control Freaks Swaps are always my favorite to receive…great ideas!  And this time was no different!

Work of Art again

Look sort of familiar?  I just changed up the colors and the orientation from the card that I did HERE.  One of a series of cards that I made when playing with the Work of Art stamp set a few weeks ago!  I’m surprised that this color combination turned out as well as it did!  I know I love Hello Honey with Blackberry Bliss…but it also looks good with Wisteria Wonder, don’t you think?

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White, folded in half.
  2. I embossed the 4 x 5 1/4 Wisteria Wonder with Stylish Stripes (SO glad this is back in the catalog!)
  3. I added a 3 3/4 x 3 piece of Lullaby Designer Paper along the bottom portion.
  4. Next I wrapped the Hello Honey In Color Ribbon (see below to get your RIBBON SHARES NOW, another order going in Friday!)
  5. I stamped the brush image from Work of Art with Wisteria Wonder and Hello Honey on a 2 3/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Whisper White, then rounded the corners.  I stamped You are Fabulous with Black Stazon on top.
  6. I added it to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  7. The Bitty Butterflies were punched from Hello Honey and Wisteria Wonder and added to the front with Mini Glue dots and Rhinestones added for their bodies!

 

LOVE this stamp set…so easy to work with!

So Very Happy

So Very Happy is a stamp set that we received at Leadership Manager’s Reception this past January.  I hadn’t used it at all, but when I was waiting for my new preorder toys, I pulled it out so I had something new to make.   This was actually the prototype for my Control Freaks swap…but I ended up changing it around quite a bit!  I discovered that it fit the SUO Challenge this time…”Stamping in the Background”, so decided to showcase it today!

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Tangelo Twist, folded in half.
  2. On the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Crumb Cake, I stamped the flower in Crumb Cake randomly in the background.
  3. On that I added two 1 x 4 pieces of Park Lane Designer Paper across the bottom portion.
  4. I cut a 2 x 3 3/4 piece of Coastal Cabana and used the Scallop Tag Topper on it.  I added the Chevron Ribbon, tied with a piece of Coastal Cabana twine and added it to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. I stamped the flower from So Very Happy with Soft Suede Ink on Tangelo Twist and punched with the Blossom Punch.
  6. Then I stamped the shield with Soft Suede Ink on Whisper White and hand cut it out and placed in the center of the flower…then added it to the tag.

In This Together

WOOHOO!!!  It’s an EXCITING day in the Stampin’ Up! world!  The NEW 2014-2015 Catalog is available to order from beginning at 2:00 Eastern time!!!  I can hardly wait!  I already have my LONG list of items ready to go!  You also only have 2 more days to get the retiring stamps and accessories before they go away…what is left that is!  You can place BOTH on the same order until the end of June 4th!   See the pdf of the NEW CATALOG HERE!

 

Here is one of the cards that I did using our Preorder set, In This Together!  So nice that Stampin’ Up! gives demos the opportunity to order a few of the sets and accessories ahead of time.  I also used the new Moonlight Paper Pack.  Wow…I am LOVING the colors in it!  I also colored the woman with the Blendabilities.  You’ll need to wait a couple months to get your hands on those unless you are a demo (good reason to join, huh???  Especially with the $50 sign up special going on now!  You can click HERE to join my INKspired Treasures team!)

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Blackberry Bliss, folded in half.
  2. I added a layer of 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White.
  3. On top I cut a 2 1/4 x 4 3/4 piece of Moonlight Designer Paper Stack.
  4. Across the front is a 3/4 x 4 piece of Blackberry Bliss.
  5. I inked up the greeting with my Black Stampin’ Write Marker and placed above the Blackberry Bliss strip.
  6. I stamped the woman from In This Together with Memento Black Ink (necessary for Blendabilities) on Whisper White, then cut with the Oval Framelits.  I colored her with the Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Flesh Tones Blendabilities Markers.  I LOVE how easy they shade.  Doesn’t that drink look yummy?  lol!
  7. The Oval is placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  8. I used the Banner Punch to cut three banners from coordinating Moonlight DSP, and then 3 Rhinestone Jewels for some extra bling!
