CCMC650 – Lots of Heart

Happy Thursday! Time for another Create with Connie and Mary creative challenge! Can you believe it is almost Valentine’s Day and mid February? I can’t!

LOTS OF HEART

I love these colors together and it inspired me to make another Valentine’s Day card using my Lots of Heart…that Buffalo Check heart is my fav!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Oh So Ombre Designer Paper (free SAB!) was added to the bototm.
The large scallop heart was cut from Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Many Hearts Dies.
The buffalo check heart was stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Many Hearts Die.
The small heart was cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the Many Hearts Die.
All the hearts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A bow was tied with the Playful Pets Ribbon and added to the heart with a Mini Glue Dot.
The greeting from Lots of Heart was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on a 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the end trimmed at an angle. It was tucked under the heart with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Red Rhinestones were added in the background!

Hey Love Valentine Card

It is SOOOOO cold today…all the schools in the area have closed. My studio is in the front of the house and I’m seeing hardly ANY traffic go by from our neighbors! Good day to stay inside!

I just can’t get enough of these critters in the Hey Love stamp set! I used it on my swaps for an Go Diva’s Occasions Swap last month!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Granny Apple Green, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 square of All My Love Designer Paper.
The alligator from Hey Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the top of a 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 Stitched Rectangle cut from Whisper White.
He is colored with Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
The Stitched Rectangle is layered on 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock.
Across the front is a 3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Real Red cardstock, stamped with Hey Valentine in Memento Black.
A bow was tied from Whisper White Baker’s Twine and added to the Real Red.

Isn’t he just TOO cute? I love it!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Love Me Tender

Happy Saturday! This week on Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop we are moving into the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration items and showing off our musical theme inspirations for the next few weeks! This week our theme song is “Love Me Tender” by Elvis Presley, featuring romantic cards! I had bits and pieces of this card laying on my desk and challenged myself to make a card with them!

FOREVER LOVELY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 piece of regular Very Vanilla cardstock is embossed with the Lace Textured Embossing Folder and added to the base card.
A top 2 x 4 piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock was cut with the Lovely Flowers Edgelit DIes.
The bottom 3/4 x 4 piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock was cut with the border scallop from Be Mine Stitched Framelits. (I think these two sets are so wonderful together that I’ve combined them a lot!)
You are Loved from Forever Lovely was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then punched with the Pretty Label Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two flowers from Forever Lovely were stamped with Lovely Lipstick Ink on Very Vanilla and cut with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits. The leaves were stamped with Garden Green Ink and also cut with the Edgelits, then tucked under the popped up flowers.

I love all the texture on here and I’m sure my hubby will love it…even those it has flowers on it! OK…what did the rest of the Design Team do with the “Love Me Tender” theme blog hop challenge? CCMC544 – Meant to Be

We are back with a sketch challenge today on Create with Connie and Mary! Isn’t it fun?

One of my downline recently promoted to SILVER! So, I used this sketch as a basis for the card I mailed to her. You really can’t tell how pretty this is with the Silver Foil heart cut with the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies and embossed with the new Lacy Textured Embossing Folder!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of black check DSP from Butterfly Botanical Designer Paper (FREE SAB!!)
A 1 x 3-1/2 piece of Gray Granite cardstock is added on top, along with a 1/8 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock.
The largest heart from Be Mine Stitched Framelits was cut from Silver Foil. The center was embossed with the Lacy Dynamic Embossing Folder…it gives a nice, deep impression! The scallop heart was added flat to the card and the embossed center was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Congratulations from Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a strip of 1/2 x 3 Whisper White cardstock towards the right side, then added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Celebrating Love

It’s time for a new Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Design Team will be CELEBRATING LOVE…this can be Valentine’s Day, Weddings, or whatever special occasion creates LOVE in your life!

For this card, I’ve combined two sets, Labels to Love and Flying Home! I’m glad it turned out the way it did in my head!

Stampin’ details:

The case is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, a 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Painted with Love Designer Paper was added along the bottom. A coordinating 1/4 x 5-1/4 striped pattern in Painted with Love DSP was added above it.
Four small hearts from the Lots of Love Box Framelits were cut from Melon Mambo cardstock.
The LOVE greeting from Labels to Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then hand-cut and adhered to the small hearts.
The two birds from Flying Home were stamped with Memento Black Ink on the Whisper White cardstock layer, then colored with Light Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Blends.
The Linen Thread was tied in a bow on one end and adhered to the beak of the bird with a Mini Glue Dot. Then other other end was tied in a bow and adhered, allowing for enough thread to slightly curve between them.
The hearts were added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM6 – Bloomin’ Love

Today’s Inspiration Monday photo is a beautiful wedding cake! I love the colors, so appropriate for a Valentine wedding, don’t you think?

Stampin’ Up! really doesn’t have a silvery blue color, so I opted to use silver accents. SO shiny and pretty, especially with the embossed background that really doesn’t show up in the photo! I also pulled out my Bloomin’ Love bundle that was SO popular last year. I hadn’t had a chance to use it yet this year!

Stampin’ details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobblere cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the new Sequin Embossing folder and was added on top.
The Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit is cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the flowers from Silver Foil. The flowers were placed on the heart with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and the petals slightly curled.
The banner was stamped with Basic Gray and the greeting from Bloomin’ Love stamp set was stamped with Cherry Cobbler, then the banner was hand-cut and added to the heart with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The heart was glued to the Whisper White layer with Tombow Monoadhesive Glue.
Small Pearls were added to the centers of the flowers.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Red/White/Pink Colors

It’s time for a new Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Design Team will be featuring Red/White/Pink color combination! With Valentine’s Day coming up quickly, it wasn’t hard to pull my card together!

I love the set Heart Happiness in the Occasions Catalog and I think it has been overlooked a little because of it’s sister stamp set, Sure Do Love You! Heart Happiness has so many pretty hearts in it! I went with a very simplistic look on my card, but the Glitter Dots really jazz it up! And, aren’t those little floral hearts SO sweet?

Here are the details:

The case is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Powder Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Real Red cardstock is added on top.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, the two lacy hearts are stamped in Real Red and Berry Burst.
The cascading hearts in the background were stamped diagonally with Powder Pink Ink.
Love from Labels to Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
Different sizes of pink Glitter Dots were added across the front.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Framelits

It’s time for a new Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Design Team will be featuring our Favorite Framelits/Thinlits! I really had a HARD time deciding what to use this week! But, I decided to use the Sure Do Love You framelits this time. It is the one set that has gotten the most use lately! lol!

I received a swap card recently from LouAnn Cruttenden that had this idea for a peek-a-boo heart that I loved. I switched it up to make it my own version. With all the pinks, purples and golds in the Painted with Love Designer Paper, I hadn’t used red and white for any Valentines yet this year!

Inside:

Here are the details:

The case is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is embossed with the Sequins Folder (it is SO hard to get a good photo of this!) and adhered to the front.
The large heart was stamped in the center on the front of the Whisper White, then the heart from the Lots to Love Box Framelits was cut out of the center.
The greeting heart was stamped with Real Red Ink on scrap Whisper White and placed inside to fit within the cut-out heart.
Sure Do Love You was stamped with Real Red Ink on scrap Whisper White and cut out with the banner framelit, then added across the front.
