IM173 – Sweet Strawberry

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a brightly colored cake!

SWEET STRAWBERRY

I love the pink strawberries at the bottom of the cake, so I concentrated on using those as my inspiration. The Sweet Strawberry stamp set was a PERFECT choice along with our NEW Polished Pink In Color!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock with the Sweet Strawberry greeting stamped with Memento Black about 1/2 way down the left side.
- Three strawberry outlines were stamped with Polished Pink Ink on Polished Pink cardstock, three leaves and stems were stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock, three small flowers were stamped with Daffodil Delight on Basic White cardstock. All were punched with the Strawberry Builder Punch, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Champagne Rhinestone Jewels were added to the center of the flowers.

Saturday Blog Hop – Evergreen

This month we have been featuring themes that revolve around the title names of songs that have colors in them! Our last color theme is “Evergreen” sung by Barbra Streisand. This song has special meaning to me since they played it in our wedding…41 years ago! Gosh…hard to believe it has been that long!

BEAUTY OF FRIENDSHIP

Since we set these themes up well in advance, it was a surprise that one of the new In Colors is called Evening Evergreen! Perfect timing! I used the Beauty of Friendship stamp set for today’s card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Succulent cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock was embossed with the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder.
The Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon was tied around a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock and was added to the front.
The 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Pansy Petals Designer Paper was placed down the right side.
On a 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, the tree trunk from Beauty of Friendship was stamped with Early Espresso Ink the solid layer of leaves and ground with Soft Succulent Ink and the detailed leaves with Evening Evergreen.
It was layered on a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Soft Succulent cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Beauty of Friendship was stamped on a 3/4 x 2-1/2 piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock with Evening Evergreen Ink and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of green Genial Gems was added to the background.

CCMC660 In Bloom

Happy Thursday! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge, this time a pretty color combination!

IN BLOOM BUNDLE

Although I used the In Bloom flower bundle, I combined with the Sea & Sand Designer Paper for a soft, pastel look! I love this type of fun fold, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 9, scored at 5-1/2 and folded with the shorter flap on front.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder and added to the inside.
A 3 x 4 piece of Sand & Sea Designer Paper was wrapped with the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon and tied in a knot. It was added to the front shorter flap.
The largest circle from Layering Circles Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the greeting from In Bloom stamp set in Memento Black Ink. It was layered on the largest scallop circle from Layering Circles Dies, cut from Seaside Spray cardstock. Then it was added half way on the front of the shorter flap.
Using the Pierced Blooms Dies, the leaf vine was cut from Seaside Spray c/s, the larger flower from Flirty Flamingo c/s, the smaller flower and center flower from So Saffron c/s, the center flowers from Seaside Spray c/s. They were adhered together and added to the bottom of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Opal Rounds were added in the centers and background.

Control Freaks April 2021

HAND-PENNED PETALS

I used the NEW Hand-Penned Bundle and a few new In Colors on my card today. It will be in the brand new Annual Catalog that demos can preorder now, and customers beginning May 4th! It is gorgeous and has coordinating DSP. I used one of the neutral patterns in the DSP for the background on my card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Hand-Penned DSP was added to the front of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White.
The Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon was wrapped around and tied in a knot.
The Basic White layer was added to the base card.
The largest Layering Circle Die was cut from Basic White, then stamped with the Hand-Penned Petals image in Memento Black Ink. It was colored with Polished Pink, Peach Papaya and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends. The circle was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Scallop Trim Die was cut from Polished Pink cardstock, trimmed to 3-1/4, then added to the front. with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 5/8 x 2-3/4 piece of Peach Papaya cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Hand-Penned Petals in Memento Black, then added on top.
Two Genial Gems were added to the background.

April 2021 Maui Achievers Blog Hop

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve both Maui trips that will be held in May 2021! I’m SO excited to go! April’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT!

HAND-PENNED PETALS

I was SO excited to see this Hand-Penned Petals bundle in the new Annual Catalog! I love the hand-drawn look with watercoloring accents! The designer paper is gorgeous! I set out to recreate it with my stamping!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The Hand-Penned DSP is 3 x 5-1/2 and added to the left side.
Two 1/4 x 5-1/5 pieces of Misty Moonlight cardstock were added to the DSP.
A 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Blushing Bride cardstock was added on top.
The large floral bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 2-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White, then colored with the “fill” flowers in Blushing Bride, Pool Party and So Saffron Inks and the leaves with Misty Moonlight Ink. I stamped everything off for a more subtle, pastel look. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped on So Saffron cardstock and punched with the Duo Oval Punch. It was adhered to the front.
A trio of Genial Gems were added to the centers and under the greeting.

IM172 – Pretty Perennials

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a cluster of botanical prints!

PRETTY PERENNIALS

I wanted to use my Pretty Perennials bundle again before it officials “retires” at the end of May…sadly, it won’t be in the new Annual catalog!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded. It was embossed on the FRONT only with the retiring Ornate Flowers Embossing Folder.
- A 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic White was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The large flower from Pretty Perennials stamp set was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink and the small flowers with Cherry Cobbler Ink on Basic White cardstock. They were cut with the Perennial Dies.
- The leaves “vine” was cut from Just Jade cardstock, the sprigs from Pool Party cardstock, the outline flower from Blushing Bride cardstock, the flower center from Cherry Cobbler cardstock with the Dies. They were added to the front.
- For You from Pretty Perennials Stamp Set was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Pool Party cardstock, then punched with the retiring Classic Label Punch (sob!)
- The flowers and greeting were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the leaves and sprigs.
- The Gold Glitter Dots were added to the centers of the flowers.

I’m very impressed with how my card turned out and think it looks a LOT like one of the botanical prints! OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Saturday Blog Hop – Blue Bayou

This month we are using musical themes with colors in the song title! This week is “Blue Bayou” sung by Linda Ronstadt! Our cards will be created predominately using shades of blue!

BOHO INDIGO

I thought right away of using my Boho Indigo Product Medley! There is SO much stuff in this kit that I’ve hardly made a dent in it! And, of course, it is retiring soon! I did a center fold easel card for my post today, the same as the masculine card I did the other day for the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! I love this easy fold!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock.
Two 1-1/4 x 4 pieces of Boho Indigo Designer Paper were added to each side.
The center easel is 3 x 8-1/2, scored at 2-1/8 and 4-14. The longer flap is adhered to the center of the base card with the two shorter flaps folded inward.
The Sorry You’re Feeling Blue greeting from Boho Indigo stamp set is stamped with Night of Navy Ink on the top of a 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. It is layered on a 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Night of Navy cardstock.
A Gold Hoop Embellishment was added under the greeting with two Mini Glue Dots.
The large vase from Boho Indigo stamp set is stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink and the smaller vase with Night of Navy Ink on scrap Very Vanilla cardstock, then cut with the Boho Indigo Dies. They were added over the Gold Hoop with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
One of the white paper flowers from the Product Medley Kit was added to the large vase with a Mini Glue Dot.
The Get Well Soon greeting from Many Mates was stamped on a 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla and layered on a 1-3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Night of Navy cardstock, then added to the bottom of the center panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two small Fleurs from Boho Indigo Stamp Set were stamped with Misty Moonlight next to the greeting.
A trio of Champagne Rhinestones were added to the center of the Fleurs and the background.

CCMC659 – Friends are Like Seashells

Happy original TAX DAY (or not!) SOOOO glad I got mine done a couple weeks ago. But now they have extended the date. lol! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. The sketch today was just BEGGING to use Designer Paper!

FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS

Well, I ORIGINALLY had a card done with all of the Butterfly Bijou Designer Paper, but it sold out SO quickly! I didn’t want to use it since it was no longer available. So, I completely re-did my card using Friends are Like Seashells and the Sand & Sea DSP.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Hammered EF and added on top.
TWO pieces of 3 x 4-1/2 Sand & Sea DSP were added staggered to the front.
A 5/8 x 4 strip of So Saffron cardstock was added towards the left side.
Basic White cardstock was stamped with the large seashell in So Saffron, the conch shell in Melon Mambo, and the sand-dollar with Blushing Bride Inks and cut out. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Friends are like Seashells was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Blushing Bride cardstock, then punched with the retiring Timeless Label Punch.
A trio of Adhesive Sequins were added to the label.
Some Wink of Stella was applied to the shells for a little shimmer!

Love the brighter colors for these seashells…I normally do neutrals! OK, go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this sketch over on Create with Connie and Mary!
