Saturday Blog Hop – All 5 In Colors

This week’s blog hop theme is to use ALL FIVE of the new In Colors! They blend pretty well together, so this should be fun to see what everyone came up with for their project!

ARTISTICALLY INKED

I decided to stamp the five colors in my background using the “smoosh” image from Artistically Inked stamp set! That was pretty fun!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped with all five new In Colors, going down the paper light to dark: Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and finally Evening Evergreen.
The floral bundle was cut from Basic Black with the Artistic Die and adhered.
Happy Birthday from Artistically Inked was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 4 strip of Polished Pink cardstock and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Soft Succulent In Color Jewels were added next to the greeting.

CCMC663 – Gnome Punch Art

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It is a fun sketch challenge!

PUNCH ART GNOME

I’ve done several Gnome punch art cards before. This one I saw from Chiaki Haverstick was updated with the Strawberry, Daisy and Ice Cream punches! SOOOOO fun and easy! Here is my version!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gray Granite cardstock was embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
The 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 Well Suited Designer Paper was added to the front on the right side.
Strips of Poppy Parade, Gray Granite and Night of Navy were added to the front staggered.
A circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Layering Circles Die. It was stamped with the greeting from A Good Man
The gnome body was punched from Night of Navy with the Strawberry punch upside down. The feet from Basic Black with the Strawberry stem punch. The arms in Blushing Bride and Night of Navy with the Daisy Punch. The beard from Basic White punched with the Strawberry leaf. The nose with Blushing Bride punched with a 3/8″ Circle. The hat punched from Well Suited DSP with the Ice Cream Punch. All were put together and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two navy rhinestones form the Holiday Rhinestones were added to the background.

IM175 – Inspiration Monday

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a beautiful patchwork quilt! I love the colors!

PANSY PATCH

I was wanting to pull my inspiration from the patchwork look of the quilt and the small prints, so I used three small print patterns in the Pansy Petals Designer Paper to create the “patchwork” look to my background.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and fold.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
Three pieces of Petal Patch Designer Paper were cut 1-1/2 x 3-1/4 and layered on the Basic White.
A piece of Basic White was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and stamped with the Happy Birthday greeting in Memento Black Ink.
The pansy embossed background pieces were cut from Pale Papaya and the outside trim from Calypso Coral cardstock, they were glued today.
The center was cut from Fresh Freesia cardstock and added to the center.
The leaves background were cut from Soft Succulent cardstock and the detail from Evening Evergreen cardstock. All pieces were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This week’s blog hop theme is our Favorite New In Color (predominately one color!) Of course, I chose the new Pale Papaya for my favorite…although I really do love ALL of them!

HAND-PENNED PETALS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Hammered Embossing Folder and added on top.
A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Pale Papaya In Color Designer Paper was added to the left side.
Two 1/4 x 4 pieces of Soft Succulent cardstock were added across the front.
A Stitched So Sweetly rectangle was added to the top, popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower from Hand-Penned Petals was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then cut with the Penned Flowers Die. It was added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Soft Succulents cardstock, the end cut on a angle and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Genial Gems was added in the background.

CCMC662 – Simply Succulent

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week is a bright color combination with one of the new In Colors!

SIMPLY SUCCULENT

I decided to pull out my Simply Succulent bundle…one of the sets that will be in the new catalog for today’s card! I thought the colors would work well with it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Succulent cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White added on top. The thanks greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner.
A 3 x 4 piece of Bumblebee In Colors Designer Paper was added on top.
Next a 1/2 x 5 piece of Cajun Craze was added diagonally.
The succulent and pot images were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White, then colored with the Cajun Craze Combo, Soft Succulent Combo and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Genial Gems were added to the background.

IM174 – Inspiration Monday

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a contemporary tree print! I love the colors!

BEAUTY OF FRIENDSHIP

I wanted to recreate the colors of the trees and the textured background on my card.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Sahara Sand cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Sahara Sand was embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, then the Sahara Sand Ink Pad was rubbed gently down the front to apply ink to the raised areas.
- A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Old Olive cardstock was torn across the top, then sponged with Old Olive Ink using the Blending Brushes.
- The tree trunks were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White (4 of them) and cut with the Beautiful Tree Dies.
- The tree tops were stamped with Soft Succulent, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, and Old Olive Inks on their corresponding cardstock. Then the top of the tree trunks were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on top. They were lined up together and adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A 3/4 x 2 piece of Sahara Sand was stamped with the greeting from Beauty of Friendship in Early Espresso Ink and the end cut at an angle.
- A 1/4 x 2-1/2 strip of Early Espresso cardstock was added behind the greeting, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of Opal Rounds were added to three of the trees.
- Some Linen Thread was tied around the trunk of the fourth tree and tied a bow.

This week’s blog hop theme is our Favorite Preorder Bundle! I really couldn’t decide…I really love all the preorder ones I purchased, but I settled on Hand-Penned Petals. Of course! It is a flower set! lol!

HAND-PENNED PETALS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped in the upper left and lower right corners with the Hand-Penned Petals image in Polished Pink Ink. It was then embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and added to the base card.
A 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink.
Using the Penned Flowers Dies, the large flowers were cut from Polished Pink, the small flowers from Misty Moonlight and the leaves from Granny Apple Green. They were adhered to the front.
The Basic White was layered on the 2-5/8 x 3-5/8 piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock.
A 3/4 x 2-1/2 piece of Polished Pink cardstock was cut with the scallop trim in the Penned Flowers Dies, then added to the bottom. The entire element was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Artistry Blooms Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

CCMC661 – Wrapped Bouquet

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch for you to try this week!

WRAPPED BOUQUET

I used my new Wrapped Bouquet bundle for my card this week. I had received the stamp set as a door prize and went ahead and got the dies to go with it! I can’t wait to use it for my Mother’s Day cards this year! This bundle looks GREAT with the new In Colors! I used ALL of them on here!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top the 1-1/2 x 6 piece of Pansy Petals Designer Paper was added across the front of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, then trimmed off.
A 1/2 x 3 piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock was added across the front.
The bouquet was stamped with Soft Succulent Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored with Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink Stampin Blends. It was cut with the Wrapped Flowers Dies.
The stems were cut from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock with the Wrapped Flowers dies.
The newspaper was cut from Gray Granite cardstock with the Wrapped Flowers Die, then stamped with the newsprint in Gray Granite Ink. It was folded and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the flowers placed inside with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was wrapped around the newspaper and tied in a bow.
The greeting from Wrapped Bouquet was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White and cut with the 1″ Circle Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
