Saturday Blog Hop – Masculine Love

It’s Saturday and time for another Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop! This week’s challenge is “Masculine Love”. Let’s celebrate those men or boys in our life!

ENDLESS LOVE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The top two thirds of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The large and small hearts were cut with the Endless Love Dies from the Nature’s Walk DSP.
Linen Thread was wrapped several times around the large heart and secured in the back. The hearts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The small heart was cut from Pretty Peacock with the Valentine Kisses Die and added and the cross point of the Linen Thread.
The greeting from Valentine Kisses was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink along the bottom.
A trio of Earthy Matte Dots were added to the hearts.

Definitely a masculine vibe with these colors! My hubby will get this one this year! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. Love the masculine feel to these colors!

ADVENTUROUS SKY

I just got this Adventurous Sky Bundle and designer paper, so thought it would be great to use it for today’s challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two patterns from the Take to the Sky Designer Paper were cut at 1-3/4 x 5 and added to the front.
The 2 x 3-1/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink and the small cloud with Pool Party Ink randomly. It was adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The plane was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Pool Party Combo and Light Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Adventurous Sky Dies and added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Adhesive Backed Textured Dots were added to the background and the prop of the plane.
Some Natural Tones Linen Thread (upcoming July-Dec Catalog) was tied in a bow and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.

CCMC705 – Let’s Set Sail

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Today is a fun sketch…my card came together really quickly!

LET’S SET SAIL

I didn’t think I needed this Let’s Set Sail bundle, but the Sailboat Builder Punch kept calling my name, so I broke down and got it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4. The front portion only was embossed with the Bark Embossing Folder (I love that it looks like waves!)
A 1 x 5-1/2 strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock was added across the front.
The large Scallop Rectangle was cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies from Basic White cardstock.
The bottom of the rectangle was stamped with the “water” and Balmy Blue Ink. The shadow of the boat and greeting with Misty Moonlight Ink. The boat mast and birds were stamped with Early Espresso Ink and the sails with Bumblebee Ink.
A 1″ stitched circle from Picture This Dies cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock for the sun, and the small cloud from Brilliant Rainbow Dies and Basic White cardstock, both popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, complete the card!

This card is perfect for any water enthusiast! I ended up not even using the Sailboat punch, lol! Go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this sketch challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! Are you HAPPY that we can order from the complete Annual Catalog now? I am! The challenge this week is “Masculine” cards. A Good Man is now my GO TO stamp set for masculine cards (Sailing Home is a close second!) I love all these sketchy images in this set. It complements a few summer sketches sets that I’ve kept in my collection!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is stamped in the corners with the speckle stamp from Waterfront (or use marker splatters!) with Crumb Cake Ink.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of striped Come Sail Away DSP was added across the front.
A 2-3/4 x 4 piece of compass Come Sail Away DSP was added to a 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
The Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine was wrapped around twice and tied in a know on the left. The panel was placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The A Good Man image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Pumpkin Pie, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Stitched Shapes Oval and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
It’s Your Day from A Good Man was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the small Stitched Shapes Circle, then added on top.

I shared a card earlier that reminded me of my youngest son holding his daughter. This one reminds me of my oldest son when we’d go to the beach for Spring Break! Saturday Blog Hop – Congratulations

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! The challenge this week is “Congratulations” cards. Can be for wedding, baby, graduation or anything that someone needs a pat on the back! I made this card for this challenge, but then liked it SO much that I used it in my Stamp Club last month! They loved it, too! But hurry, that Regals 6×6 Real Red striped pattern DSP is going away in just a few days…it is perfect for a nautical card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Sahara Sand cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Come Sail Away Designer Paper was added to the left side.
A 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Night of Navy cardstock was cut with a banner bottom, then two 1/4″ holes punched at the top.
Some Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine was placed thru the holes at the top of the banner and tied a bow. It was added to the front.
A 2 x 4 piece of the Real Red Striped (Regals) 6×6 DSP was added to a 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Real Red cardstock, then added across the front.
A Stitched Circle shape was cut from Sahara Sand cardstock and the birds from Sailing Home stamped with Memento Black and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sailboat was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the Smooth Sailing Dies. It was colored with the Balmy Blue Blends, then added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Congrats was stamped with Night of Navy Ink, then cut with the banner from Smooth Sailing Die. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC498 – Truly Tailored

We have another fun sketch for you to try over on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! Since I had my Truly Tailored bundle already on my desk, I thought I’d incorporate it into this sketch. I think it worked!

Here’s my card:

Stampin’ Details:

The base us 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock, the 2-1/4 x 4 panels of True Gentleman Designer Paper were cut with a flag end, then added offset from each other.
A length of Night of Navy 3/8″ Corduroy Ribbon was added across the front and adhered in the back of the Crumb Cake layer, then the panel added to the front.
Tailored Tags were punched from Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide and added to the front.
The You’re a Fox greeting was stamped with Tranquil Tide on Very Vanilla and trimmed with Paper Snips. Then layered on another Tailored Tag punched from Crumb Cake cardstock. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A True Gentleman Button was tied with Linen Thread and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.

I’m glad I didn’t go with my original thought of flowers for the sketch since I think this turned out pretty cool! OK…check out the rest of the Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Love is in the Air

We’re back for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop with the Design Team! Our theme this week is Love is in the Air! With Valentine’s Day coming up, we all need a valentine for our special person, don’t we? Well, at least in the US…I don’t think it is as recognized in our other markets as much!

I used the Life Me Up Bundle in the Occasions Catalog for my card today! It gave it a more masculine look, I think. Will probably give this to my husband!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a layer of 4 x 5-1/4 Basic Black cardstock.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, a 1 x 5 strip of Sending Love Designer Paper is added to the bottom. Then the 1/8″ Real Red Sending Love Ribbon is added across the front and secured in the back.
The outline of the balloon was cut with the Up & Away Thinlit from Real Red cardstock, then adhered to Basic Black and cut around the edges. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Love Is in the Air from Lift Me Up stamp set is stamped with Memento Black Ink.
The “postage” is cut from the Sending Love Designer Paper and adhered in the upper right corner.
The Sending Love Wood Heart Embellishment is added to the hot air balloon with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Masculine Birthday

It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop with the Design Team! Our theme this week is Masculine Birthdays! I’m hoping for LOTS of inspiration as I find this category the hardest to design!

I used the new Nailed It stamp set in the Occasions Catalog for my card today! I love it paired with the Urban Underground Designer Paper! (This is my second card this week using this set, so if you missed our Thursday Challenge, make sure to go back and take a look!) My Club Members will be making this card this month!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Delightful Dijon cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a layer of 4 x 5-1/4 Basic Black cardstock.
The measuring ruler in the Build It Framelits actually EMBOSSES the ruler…it is SO cool! I used a strip of Gold Metallic Paper and the ruler Thinlet along the left edge.
A 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Urban Underground DSP is placed on the front.
The largest Oval Stitched Shapes Framelit cuts a piece of Delightful Dijon Cardstock. Happy Birthday from Designer Tee (FREE SAB set) is stamped with Memento Black Ink at the bottom of the oval. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The hammer, screwdriver and wrench are stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla and watercolored with Delightful Dijon and Smoky Slate Markers and AquaPainter, then cut with the Build It Framelits. They are adhered on the oval.
