Flurry of Wishes

Wow! I can’t believe it is November already…and several days in! I was away at a long weekend stamping retreat and had my girlfriends here…so I feel like I’m in a time warp that I just woke up back in the real world! lol! We had SO much fun…can’t wait to do it again in the spring!

But…today I am sharing a special card that we did in my Christmas Card class last month. I love all the gold and glimmer on here using the snowflake set, Flurry of Wishes! Isn’t it pretty?

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Suede cardstock, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla was embossed with the Boughs and Berries folder.
Merry Christmas from Flurry of Wishes was stamped with Soft Suede in the lower right corner.
The larger sized Gold Doily was added to the front on the left side and a strip of Gold Glimmer Ribbon was placed across it.
The medium snowflake was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and punched with the Flower Medallion punch (on sale this week!), then adhered over the Gold Doily and Gold Glimmer Ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The small snowflake duo was stamped with Versamark on Gold Foil Cardstock, embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, then punched with the Snow Flurry Punch. Just the larger sized one was popped up with a Stampin’ Dimensional on top of the medium snowflake.
A Large Pearl was added to the center of the snowflake for just a little more elegance!

Isn’t that SO pretty? I love the Soft Suede along with Gold touches…really is VERY elegant and pretty.

SUO110 Endless Wishes

It’s time for another SUO Challenge…this time our theme is Marker Fun! The Design Team came up with lots of different ideas for using markers. We could use Stampin’ Up! regular markers, Blendabilities, make backgrounds or whatever! I chose to use my regular Stampin’ Write Markers and make up a fun background using Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette and my acrylic blocks!

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Pink Pirouette cardstock, folded in half.
On the 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Whisper White, I used Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette Markers and my Acrylic Blocks misted with water to create the background (sorry, the pink is hard to see online.)
On top I used Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette and Silver Ink pads to stamp the Endless Wishes snowflakes randomly on the background.
I layered this Whisper White on a 2 3/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock.
The Silver Satin Ribbon is wrapped to the back and adhered, then adhered to the front of the Pink Pirouette base.
I cut the Snowflake from the Snowflake Card Thinlet from Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper. In the center is a Wisteria Wonder Candy Dot. I adhere it to the card with Mini Glue Dots.
Finally, I stamped the Christmas greeting from Endless Wishes with Tuxedo Black ink in the lower right corner.

Week 4: Many Merry Stars

OH NO! Today is the last day over on Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection 2014 we are showing off the sets we used this past week with our last BLOG HOP for this session!!! For this week’s stamp set, I used Many Merry Stars. It’s from the Holiday Supplement catalog. My project could be interchangeable with the Bright & Beautiful star set, too! However, I wanted to do a card with one of my favorite snowflake images in the set. I LOVE that it fits inside the Tree Punch!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White, folded in half.
On the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Soft Sky, I added three patterns of All is Calm Washi Tape towards the bottom third of the front.
I embossed the Fun Frame on Lost Lagoon cardstock and cut it out. Then added it on top of the Washi Tape.
In the center, I cut out a 1 1/4 x 1 7/8″ piece of Silver Glimmer Paper to put inside the Fun Frame.
I stamped the tree from Many Merry Stars in Lost Lagoon on Whisper White and punched with the Tree Punch, then added the element to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I colored a Rhinestone with Coastal Cabana Blendabilities and added it to the center of the tree snowflake.
Finally, I stamped Tis the Season from the same Many Merry Stars set with Lost Lagoon ink above the top of the frame.

I love how it turned out and I love this stamp set! You’ll be seeing more of it from me, I’m sure!

CCMC328 Letterpress Winter

It’s time for another Thursday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary. This time it’s a fun Color Challenge, so grab your inks and play along!

And here’s the card I made. I love the unusual cut along the right edge of the card…makes it “fancy smancy”! l also love the plaid of Trim the Tree Designer Paper against the lacy snowflake in Letterpress Winter!

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, folded in half. Along the right front edge, I used the Apothecary Accent Framelit (only run it partially thru to cut the edge).
Add a 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Trim the Tree Designer Paper to the left side.
Wrap the Lost Lagoon Ribbon around the DSP and secure on the back.
Stamp the large snowflake from Letterpress Winter with Lost Lagoon Ink and cut with the Snowflake Card Thinlet Die, turn 90 degrees and cut it again so the entire snowflake is cut out.
Cut the medium snowflake from Silver Glimmer Paper and adhere to large snowflake.
Stamp For You with Cherry Cobbler and punch with the 1″ Circle Punch and add to the center of the snowflake with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Add two Rhinestone Jewels to the sides.
Add the snowflake to the front of the card.
Tie a bow with more Lost Lagoon Ribbon and add to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.

Inside, cut Whisper White to 4 x 5 1/4. Stamp the rectangle with Lost Lagoon Ink. Then stamp Season’s Greetings with Cherry Cobbler ink.

CCMCWinter13-04 Festive Flurry

We've got a beautiful color challenge for the last day of the Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection! For our Week 4 challenge, just the Design Team creates a card!

Here's my card!

Here are the details:

The 4 1/4 x 11 base of Pool Party is folded in half to make the card.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Coastal Cabana (love those two together!)
Next I added a 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 piece of Winter Frost Designer Paper and wrapped the 1/8" Silver Ribbon around the bottom and secured behind the layer.
I cut a 1 x 4 1/4 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper and added to the front.
The Window Frame Framelit is cut from Pool Party cardstock.
Next I stamped the Festive Flurry snowflakes in Coastal Cabana and Smoky Slate on Whisper White and cut with the framelits and layered on top. I added a Frosted Finishes embellishment to the center.
I stamped Peace on Earth in Smoky Slate on the front.

WOOHOO!!! One of my girlfriends arrives today in preparation of the stamping retreat this weekend…a nice LONG stamping retreat…5 days and 4 nights! I can hardly wait! Another one (or 2 or 3) is meeting us there tomorrow, and still others coming in Friday! LOVE it! I have lots of things planned to work on, including my cards for the Card "Create"tions edition! And, of course, my personal Christmas Cards. I always try to take the time to do those since the rest of my schedule until Christmas is crazy!

Here's a card that I made using "parts" on my desk. I'm trying to clean it off and pack a little. These little snowmen were sitting there just calling for me to make them into a card!

I decided to go with a "non-traditional" color scheme. It may be hard to see, but I used Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo for my snowmen card! I like them dressed up in pink!

The base of the card is Baja Breeze.
The Frosty Friends snowmen were stamped with Black Stazon on Whisper White and cut with the Labels Framelit. I colored them with Stampin' Write Markers.
I added a piece of Snow Festival Designer Paper and layered the Adorning Accents scalloped Edgelit at the top.
I cut two of the snowflakes die from Silver Glimmer and Pink Pirouette and layered them together with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The greeting is from More Merry Messages and stamped in Melon Mambo on Whisper White, then punched with the 1" Circle Punch. A rhinestone is in the center.
Finally, I added extra sparkle with Clear Dazzling Details for the snow covered ground!

Jolly Old Saint Nick

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! All the celebrations went by SO fast. It was good to see friends and family that we only see during this time of year. Our kids arrived safely and got home safely yesterday, so we are thankful!

OK…last Christmas card for the season! This was my personal Christmas card this year! I made over a 100 of them. I started back in October at a stamping retreat…all finished except to cut out the little Jolly Old Saint Nick snowman. I didn't get around to cutting the snowman out until mid-December and mailed them out! So much for starting early!

I used the color combination of Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake and Basic Black. I liked those colors together! The snowflakes in the background are from Northern Hearts Level 1 Hostess Set and stamped in White Craft Ink.

I thought I'd also show you the gift tags I made for my presents. I always wrap my gifts in the same wrapping paper, then stamp tags to match. However, this year, I couldn't find a snowman stamp that I liked that coordinated well with the wrapping paper. So, I punched out the head of the snowman with the 2 3/8 Scallop Circle and layered it on the 2 1/2 circle punched from retired Mellow Moss Cardstock. I added a retired snowflake punch with a Rhinestone jewel in the center, used my Crop-A-Dile, then some retired Mellow Moss grosgrain ribbon. I liked being able to use up some of my retired stash! lol!

I'm trying to kick back and relax this week…read a few books! I received a gift card for Amazon, so can't wait to download some books on my Kindle!
