I love this Stippled Blossoms set…I think everyone knows I love flowers! In fact, I used this set for one of my weeks on Create with Connie and Mary's Card "Create"tions! Today's Create with Connie and Mary sketch fit the images perfectly so I pulled it out again to use.

I think what makes this card so different is the colors! I'm a happy camper that Pool Party is staying in the lineup for the next catalog. I don't know what I would have done without it! I kept the rose simple…just stamped off with Real Red to get a two-tone look.

Here are the details:

The base card is 4 1/4 x 11 of Pool Party, folded in half.
I ran a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White thru the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folders.
I cut a 2 x 4 1/2 piece of Sent with Love Designer Paper and offset towards the right side.
I cut a small 1/2" x 3" strip of Real Red cardstock with the Finishing Touches Edgelit and tucked it under the right top side of the Designer Paper towards the top. I also cut a 3/4" strip of Real Red for the Sweet Essentials greeting.
I stamped off the solid rose image from Stippled Blossoms with Real Red ink, then stamped it full strength with the outline image. I did the same with the leaves and Pool Party ink. The rose and leaves were placed on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Finally, I added two pearls as accents and to fill the space a little on the Designer Paper.

I like the "trellis on trellis" look with the Honeycomb folder combined with the print from the Sent with Love Designer Paper!

Fall Foliage

I pulled out one of my favorite sets in the Main Catalog! OK…the proper name for this set is FRENCH FOLIAGE…not Fall Foliage as my title says (can't change it or it will mess up the links I've already used.) I usually use it only in the fall. But…I had the idea for it to represent SPRING and the regrowth of the leaves. Maybe one day soon we'll actually SEE leaves again in Ohio! lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Crumb Cake folded in half.
I used the sprinkles image in French Foliage with Crumb Cake Ink on the background and sponged along the edges.
I cut a 2" x 5" piece of Lucky Limeade Patterns striped DSP, and a 1 1/4 x 4" piece of polka dots, cut flag ends and sponged around the edges.
I stamped Your Kindness from From the Heart stamp set in Always Artichoke Ink on Very Vanilla and cut with the Oval Framelits. I also stamped the leaves in the background with Certainly Celery (one of the colors that will retire!) and some more sprinkles with Crumb Cake Ink.
I stamped the large leaf with Always Artichoke Ink on Lucky Limeade, then the two small leaves on Certainly Celery cardstock and cut them out.
I stamped the medium leaf with Lucky Limeade on Certainly Celery and cut it out, too.
Each of the leaves I sponged with Crumb Cake.
I stamped the little circle image with Crumb Cake, then punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch.
I sponge Crumb Cake on Early Espresso Bakers Twine, tied a double bow, and added it to the front on top of the leaves.
Finally the circle was placed with a Stampin' Dimensional by the bow and over the two small leaves.

I really like all the different shades of green on here! Gives that set a different use than for fall!

For the Birds

Wow! I'm sure you've all heard the NEWS by now! New COLOR REFRESH and FREE SHIPPING on ANYTHING in the main and Spring catalogs from April 6-8, 2013! But, I am excited that some of our "older" In Colors are coming back into the regular line! AND…we are finally getting a new light shade of gray to replace Going Grey that went away several years ago! Seeing these fresh new colors makes me anxious to see the NEW In colors! Only a couple more weeks!

Today I'm sharing a card I actually did a while ago for one of the Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenges…but I switched it out to another card with a holiday theme and never used this one! For the Birds is one of the stamp sets that I featured in the new Card "Create"tions for All Occasions! So, this is like a BONUS card for you if you've joined already! If not…why not??? I think this is PERFECT for spring…the birds are certainly chirping around here…and those mama robins are SOOOO fat! lol! Today's CASology Card Challenge is the keyword UP! I think the message here is uplifting support, don't you?

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Lucky Limeade cardstock, folded in half (and I'm sad they didn't keep this fun color…sniff, sniff)
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 Daffodil Delight cardstock, run thru the Big Shot with the Houndstooth folder.
I cut a 1 1/2 x 5 piece of Floral District Designer Paper and layered it on a 1 3/4 x 5 piece of Lucky Limeade cardstock. I slanted it across the front of the Daffodil Delight layer and trimmed off the excess on the sides.
I wrapped the White Taffeta Ribbon around on the front and tied a bow, then adhered that element to the front of the card base.
I stamped the For the Birds image with Black Stazon on Whisper White, then cut with the Labels Framelits. I watercolored with my AquaPainter and Stampin' Write Markers in Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Lucky Limeade.
I layered this Label on another Label Framelit of Tangerine Tango cardstock and placed on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Finally, I punched the Boho Blossom Punch with Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White, layered the sizes together and added a Lucky Limeade Polka Dot Brad to the center and attached to the front of the card.

I love it…so cheerful and uplifting! Would definitely cheer someone UP to receive this in the mail, right?

Towels for Two

I was SO excited to see Stampin' Up!'s news that they are continuing the last two assortments of Single Stamps for a few more months! I know that I didn't get to use the ones that I purchased nearly enough! Although, Ears to You did get a lot of mileage, this stamp…Towels for Two…just got inked up for the first time. I purchased it to use on wedding and anniversary cards because it was just TOO cute!

I used it for my swap card at our Downline Meeting on Monday night. The one on the left is the one I took…a good M&T card. I have to restrain myself sometimes from doing TOO much on my M&T card examples! Then…I thought I'd show you what you could do to Step-it-up! So, I've shown what adding a couple steps can do for your card!

Over on Create with Connie and Mary's latest edition Card "Create"tions for All Occasions, we are using this type of Step-it-up Duo as two of our card examples…one other uses a sketch and the last one is the designer's choice! So, for each stamp set featured (over 18 of them!) we are making up 4 cards with photos, measurements and directions in a downloadable Project Sheet! Here are a few details on my card duo:

Make & Take version:

Base card is 4 1/4 x 11 Midnight Muse, folded in half
I added a 2 x 5 1/2" Strip of Patio Party Designer Paper to the left side.
I stamped the Towels for Two image with Midnight Muse on Whisper White, then cut it with the Oval Framelit. I layered it on the next larger Oval of Summer Starfruit cardstock. I colored the towel bar with my Summer Starfruit marker.
I stamped the & from Ciao, Baby! stamp set in Summer Starfruit Ink and punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch. I layered it on the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch of Summer Starfruit and popped it up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a little bling with a small Rhinestone in the center of the &.
The Oval was also popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Step-it-Up version:

Base card is 4 1/4 x 11 Summer Starfruit, folded in half.
I added a layer of 4 x 5 1/4 Midnight Muse cardstock over the front.
I used a 2 x 5 1/4 strip of Patio Party Designer Paper, layered on a mat of 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 Primrose Petals, then added that to the front.
I stamped the Towels for Two image with Midnight Muse on Whisper White, then cut with the Oval Framelit, I layered it on the next larger Oval of Summer Starfruit cardstock, and used the Oval Piercing Template along the edges. I also colored the Towel Bar with my Summer Starfruit marker.
I stamped the & from Ciao, Baby! stamp set in Summer Starfruit Ink and punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch. I layered it on the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch of Summer Starfruit and popped it up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a little bling with a small Rhinestone in the center of the &.
The Oval was also popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I punched another 7/8" Scallop Circle from Primrose Petals and cut slits in the scallops to make petals, then added a larger Rhinestone to the center and placed on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Isn't it fun how a few extra embellishments really make the card pop! I love showing my customers the difference! Here are more details on Card "Create"tions for All Occasions!

Love & Sympathy Take 2

No, you aren't seeing double vision (or double posts) even though it IS April Fool's Day! I used the same elements that I used on yesterday's card HERE to make up another one in a different style. Isn't it amazing how you can use the same stamps and accessories, but make it look different just by placement of the elements? The only thing I added was the Polka Dot Parade DSP. I used a beautiful sketch from last week's The Paper Players…too bad I didn't get this done in time to upload it over there!

Here are the details for this card:

The 4 1/4 x 11 base of Pumpkin Pie is folded in half.
I cut a strip of Always Artichoke cardstock with the Finishing Touches edgelit and adhered it behind the 1 x 5 1/2" piece of Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper, then adhered that along the right edge of the base card.
I cut a 2 5/8 x 3 7/8 piece of First Edition paper, then stamped the flowers inked up with my Always Artichoke and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Markers several times. I also stamped just the flower a couple times on scrap Very Vanilla, cut them out and randomly placed them to fill in a little more. This was adhered to a 2 3/4 x 4 piece of Always Artichoke cardstock.
I wrapped the Crumb Cake Seam Binding around and tied a knot, then placed this element on the front of the card.
I stamped the greeting in Always Artichoke on Crumb Cake and punched with the Decorative Label punch, then popped it up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The Bitty Butterflies were punched from Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant, then added the trio of Pearls for their bodies.

Well, I need to get cracking! I have to make up 20 swaps for tonight's downline meeting. AND I need to review my taxes one more time, then get them ready to go. That's a pretty big order for today! lol! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Love & Sympathy

Today's card uses a stamp set, Love & Sympathy, that I haven't used in a long time! I also hadn't used the First Edition Designer Paper in a while…so I combined the two of them! I also love these colors today…Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder!

Here are the details:

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie, folded in half. I embossed the front with the Delicate Designs Folder along the bottom.
I cut a 4 x 4 1/2 piece of First Edition Designer Paper and stamped the flower on it using my Pumpkin Pie and Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers several times. I also stamped and cut out just a couple of the flower heads to give it more fullness.
At the bottom of the First Edition, I added a strip of Very Vanilla, cut with the Finishing Touches Edgelit.
I tied a pretty bow and wrapped the Crumb Cake Seam Binding ends around to the back to secure.
I stamped the Love & Sympathy greeting with Always Artichoke on Crumb Cake, then punched with the Decorative Label punch and tucked it under the top of the bow.
I punched the Bitty Butterfly punch with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant cardstock and adhered to the front with Mini Glue Dots. I added a trio of Pearls for the butterfly bodies and at the base of each flower bud.

Secret Garden

Today we have a BRIGHT, colorful color challenge for you to try over on Create with Connie and Mary! Hopefully it will put you in a SPRING mood…although we got dumped on with 6-7 inches of snow yesterday! This weekend it is supposed to be in the 50s! Ohio weather for you!!!

And here is my bright and colorful card using Secret Garden and the framelits…LOVE that bundle! I admit that I had to use a splash of green for the leaves…they looked naked without them! lol!

Here are the details:

Base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Very Vanilla, folded in half to make the base card.
I added a 5 x 3 3/4 layer of Print Poetry Designer Stack Paper in the polka dot print.
Next is a 1 1/4 x 5 1/4" strip of Summer Starfruit cardstock, stamped with the You Are Simply Wonderful greeting from Friendly Phrases with Raspberry Ripple Ink.
I stamped two flowers with Raspberry Ripple Ink on Primrose Petals cardstock, then stamped again with Raspberry Ripple ink on Raspberry Ripple cardstock for the centers. I used the Framelits for the large flowers and hand-cut the centers to place over them. I also stamped the 5 petal flower with Always Artichoke Ink on Lucky Limeade cardstock and cut with the Framelits for the leaves, then cut two petals off for each flower. They were popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals and placed on the front.
I added pearls to the centers of the flowers (I see one got lost before the photo! lol!)

Flower Fair again

The Flower Fair Scrappin' Kit is SO cute and I love making cards with it! I've made up several. The floral backgrounds are so bright and cheery…nice for this snowy and dreary day in Ohio!

It came together nice and quick this morning, too! I have finally got my studio 90% put away…just need to alphabetize my stamp sets and put away the ribbon and cardstock/DSP I took with me! But at least I can FIND things again!

Here's what I did with this card!

The base is Whisper White cut 4 1/4 x 11 and folded in half.
I used 4 x 5 1/4 Garden Green, embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.
I added a 2" strip of Floral Paper from the Scrappin' Kit, then a 1" strip of the reverse side on top. I used one of the borders for another layer on top. All were cut at the bottom with a flag end.
I wrapped the 1/8" ribbon around the banners and tied a knot on the front.
The greeting from Friendly Phrases was stamped in Garden Green on Whisper White, then punched with the Decorative Label punch.
I added two of the flowers from the Kit, and two buttons from the Kit, tied with White Bakers Twine.

So everything except for the base Whisper White card and the White Bakers Twine is included!!! Makes it quite easy to whip up a card in a short time!

Got to run…still need to work on my cards for tonight's class!
