IM399 – Framed Scenes

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is bowl of colorful field corn!

FRAMED SCENES

You probably know by now that I LOVE punch art!  So, when I saw these ears of corn, I wanted to make them for my card, but we really don’t have any corn stamps except the little row of corn in the Tractor & Co stamp set!  But you CAN make corn cobs from an oval!  I originally purchased the Framed Scenes Dies just for the ovals in them!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was embossed with the Forever Plaid EF and added to the front of the card.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Floral Delight DSP was added down the right side.
  • The corn husks were cut from Old Olive cardstock using the larger Framed Scenes oval die, then cut partially down the center and the two ends folded back on themselves and held with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A Blending Brush was used to add Old Olive Ink to the edges.
  • Two smaller ovals were cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock using the smaller oval die from Framed Scenes.  They were embossed with the Forever Plaid EF, then brushed with Crushed Curry Ink.  They were adhered behind the oval corn husks.
  • The two ears of corn were added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Old Olive Linen Thread (new!) was tied in a bow and added to the top corn husk with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • The greeting from Amber Autumn (new!) was stamped with Old Olive on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the smaller oval die from Framed Scenes Dies.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of green Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Pink Champagne

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them!  This week’s theme is “Pink Champagne” by Ariana Grande.

ARTISTIC LEAVES

I already made a poinsettia with the leaf from this set, so decided a pink flower would work!  I love the Sunflower embossing folder background, too!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Strawberry Slush cardstock is embossed with the Sunflower Embossing Folder.
  • The Everyday Arches was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock, turned upside down and stamped with the greeting in Strawberry Slush Ink across the top.  It was adhered to the front.
  • A 1/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock was added across the front.
  • The leaf was stamped 5 times with Strawberry Slush Ink and the detail with Pretty in Pink Ink.  The leaves were stamped 3 times with Lemon Lime Twist Ink.  All were hand cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the center of the flower.

CSF883 – Festive Friends

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  We have a slimline card sketch challenge for you to try this week!

FESTIVE FRIENDS

I couldn’t wait until I got to play with my new Festive Friends Stamp set!  I love these little holiday friends!  I already know I’ll be using the snowman on my Christmas present tags this year!  My grandkids will enjoy helping me!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 7 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 3-1/2 and folded to make the slimline card.
  • A 1-1/2 x 8-1/2 piece of Traditions of Christmas DSP was added down the left side.
  • The three figures were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Real Red, Old Olive, Light Pool Party, Light Pecan Pie, Ivory, Dark Pumpkin Pie, and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut out with the Festive Friends Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped on Old Olive cardstock and cut with the label Festive Friends Die.  It was added to a 7/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Real Red cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some red and green Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the background and small gold ones to the label.

CS207 – Fright Night

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Animals”!  I really don’t have a lot of animal stamps, so I’ve been scrounging around looking at things I could use!  The Spooky Sweet Designer Paper came to my rescue again!

FRIGHT NIGHT

These animal die cuts in the Spooky Sweet DSP are so cute.  I couldn’t resist using this hippo mummy!  I wish we had a stamp like him!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Spooky Sweet DSP was added to the background.
  • The striped label image from Fright Night was stamped with Timid Tiger Ink on Timid Tiger cardstock and then cut with the larger label die from Fright Night Dies.  It was adhered to the front.
  • The hippo and candy corn were punched from the Spooky Sweet Sticker Sheet and added to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two spider webs were cut from Basic Black cardstock and tucked under the label.
  • Trick or Treat was stamped with Memento Black Ink and hand-cut to separate the words, then added to the label with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Boo was cut with the Dies from Basic Black cardstock and added to the DSP in the upper left corner.
  • A trio of white Shimmer Star Foam Stickers were added to the spider webs.

IM398 – Spooky Halloween

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a spooky scene!

SPOOKY HALLOWEEN

I’ve been wanting to use the Twisted in Time trees for a Halloween card, and this was a perfect time!  Hurry and grab them…they are on the Last Chance list!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was brushed with Memento Black Ink around the top edges.
  • A 3 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic Black cardstock was torn about 1″ from the top.  Both the torn edges were brushed with White Craft Ink, then layered together on the bottom of the Pumpkin Pie layer.  It was added to the front.
  • The moon was punched with the 2″ Circle Punch from Daffodil Delight cardstock and brushed with Pumpkin Pie Ink, it was added to the top.
  • Two trees were cut with the Twisted in Time Dies from Basic Black cardstock using the Die, then adhere to each side, trimming off the excess on the edges.
  • The house was cut from Basic Black cardstock and a background piece of Daffodil Delight was trimmed to fit behind the windows and doors.  They were adhered together.  A Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends was used to color the bottom of the windows and doors for a shadow look.  The house was added to the front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The bats were cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the moon with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Spooky from Spooky Halloween stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Spooky Sweets Designer Paper and the end cut at an angle.  It was adhered to the bottom on the front.
  • A trio of yellow 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added around the bottom.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them!  This week’s theme is “Behind these Hazel Eyes” by Kelly Clarkson…using green/gold/brown tones!

PEACEFUL PIER & PRAIRIE GRASS

My first time using this set!  I love the little boy fishing…reminds me of my grandkids.  But I focused on the fish for this card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Need for Tweed Designer Paper was added on top.
  • The 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Pecan Pie cardstock was added to the center.
  • The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped and stamped off several times along the bottom with the Prairie Grass image in Garden Green Ink.  A Blending Brush was used to add Crumb Cake Ink along the bottom and Cloud Cover Ink along the top.
  • The fish were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon and and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends (to make the hazel color!)  They were hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Iridescent Faceted Gems were added for “bubbles”
  • Happy Birthday from Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Garden Green Ink on 1/2 x 3 Basic White strip, then the end cut at an angle and added to the top left side.

CSF882 – Fright Night

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  We have a color challenge for you to try this week!

FRIGHT NIGHT

I knew two of these colors were in the Spooky Sweet DSP, so decided on a Halloween card!  I love this label image with all the word art, so I created a watercolor background to stamp it on!  And this cute flamingo just BEGGED to be cut out of the DSP!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Gray cardstock was added on top.
  • The large label in Fright Night Dies was cut from the Timid Tiger print Spooky Sweet DSP and added to the front on an angle.
  • I made the background by coloring on a large stamping block with Coastal Cabana, Petunia Pop, and Timid Tiger Stampin’ Write Markers and then spritzing the block with water.  It was pressed onto a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock that was also lightly spritzed with water.  Let dry.
  • The word art image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the water colored background piece and added to the front on the opposite angle.
  • Two spider webs were cut with the Dies from Basic Black cardstock and tucked under the label on each side.
  • The spider was cut from Petunia Pop cardstock with the Die and added to the top spider web with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The flamingo was cut from the Spooky Sweet cardstock and added next to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of black Shimmer Star Foam Stickers were added to the background.
