Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New DSP 2025

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Favorite New Designer Paper 2025”.

CHEERS & SIPS

I really do like most of the new designer papers that Stampin’ Up! has introduced, so it was hard to choose just one! But I do love the drink images in the Celebratory Sips Designer Paper, so that is the one I chose to feature!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Strawberry Slush cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Celebratory Sips DSP was added to the front of the base card.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Strawberry Slush cardstock was added across the top.
The hexagon from Meant to Bee (second from smallest) was cut from Basic White and Blackberry Bliss cardstocks and were trimmed to fit the front of the card.
The “ground” on the hexagon was colored with Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends and the greeting stamped with Memento Black Ink on the center Basic White panel.
Three of the little drink images and a small strawberry were cut from the Celebratory Sips DSP and added to the hexagon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Cloud Cover 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the front.

CSF869 – Poppin’ By

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a fun sketch challenge this week!

POPPIN’ BY

This is my first chance to use my new Poppin’ By Bundle! I thought it was different and that it would be fun for some kid (pre-teen) cards! Or it would be fun to use on a movie theater gift card holder!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of black & white striped Lovely Garden DSP was added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Poppy Parade cardstock, then added to the front of the card.
Two 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 squares of Basic White were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front, overlapping.
The three popcorn were cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Dies and stamped with “pop” in Memento Back Ink, then added to the front top square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The popcorn bucket was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink and Daffodil Delight Ink on Basic Whie cardstock. The Poppy Parade bucket was cut away from the popcorn and added to the Daffodil Delight bucket.
The eyes were colored with Basic Black Marker.
The shoes were cut with the Dies from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the legs.
He was added to the front square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped on a 1/4 x 4 piece of Poppy Parade cardstock and the end cut at an angle, then tucked under the popcorn bucket with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Starburst Sequins were added to the background.

CS193 – Layers of Beauty

It’s a new month and a new theme for our Creatively Simple challenge!

SUNRISE SAILING

Last week I did a watercolor background, for this week I switched to watercolor coloring on my card using the Layer of Beauty Bundle! I started watercoloring with the flowers and my watercolor painter wasn’t working correctly so they turned out darker than I liked. I added some contrast by using the Layers of Beauty Stencil for the center darker portion!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting across the top in Petunia Pop Ink, then added to the front of the base card.
A 4 x 4 piece of Cute As Can Bee (Online Exclusive) Designer Paper was cut on the diagonal across the top and then added to the bottom of the Basic White cardstock.
The Layers of Beauty roses were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and watercolored with Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Inks using a water brush.
The Layers of Beauty Stencil was used to add darker Highland Heather Ink to the centers.
It was cut with the Die and a portion of it trimmed away to fit better on my card. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Old Olive cardstock was cut with two of the stand-alone leaf dies and added under the flower cluster.
A trio of pink Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the background.

The watercoloring actually went pretty fast so I think this still qualifies as a “simple” card! OK, check out Debbie’s new Creatively Simple card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

IM384 – Beautiful Butterflies

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a colorful abstract!

BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES

I was wondering what direction to go in when I saw the inspiration challenge. I remembered this butterfly “wing” and thought I could make a colorful array of them. This is what I ended up with! Fun and SO easy!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, I added the two wings together on a block and then inked them in the rainbow colors of Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Azure Afternoon and Real Red. It was added to the base card.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink and added across the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Brushed Brass Butterflies were added next to the greeting.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Favorite New Bundle 2025”.

IMPRESSIONS ABLOOM

It was a toss-up between Impressions Abloom or Sunrise Sailing on which is my favorite new bundle right now! I went with the one that I’ve used the most! I also LOVE this Painted Stripes Background stamp but haven’t used it yet. With Memorial Day right around the corner, I made up a red, white and blue card using it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Painted Stripes Stamp using Poppy Parade Ink.
The oval from Impressions Abloom Dies was cut from Misty Moonlight and embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder, then adhered to the front.
Two large Impressions Abloom flowers were stamped off with Misty Moonlight ink, then the details with full Misty Moonlight Ink. The centers were stamped with Poppy Parade. They were cut with the outline and detail flower dies then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves were all cut from Lemon Lime Twist. The fan flowers from Basic White cardstock. All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hello from Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on 1/2 x 1-1/2 Basic White, the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a pretty color challenge this week using one of the new In Colors!

CHEERS & SIPS

I’m having so much fun with the new Cheers & Sips Bundle! I thought these colors would work great with it!

NOTE: Oops…I just realized that I used Petunia Pop instead of Fresh Freesia on today’s challenge! Hope you get the idea anyway!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, the greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight and Petunia Pop Inks towards the bottom left side.
A 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock was added across the front above the greeting.
The oval was cut with the Impressions Abloom oval from Cute As Can Bee Designer Paper and added to the front.
The glasses and sprig were stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White, the two lemons with Darling Duckling. All were cut with the Cheers & Sips Dies.
The tall glass was colored with Darling Duckling Ink and stamped lemons inside the glass. The other was colored with Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Two-Tone Sparkle Gems were added to the background and by the sprig on the glass.

CS192 – Sunrise Sailing

It’s a new month and a new theme for our Creatively Simple challenge!

SUNRISE SAILING

I thought doing a watercolor water and sky background would be pretty simple, don’t you? LOVE this Sunrise Sailing Bundle. My husband just recently announced his retirement in July, so made this card for him!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was watercolored with Lost Lagoon refill ink for the bottom and Pool Party refill ink for the top using a Water Painter.
The waves were stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on the bottom portion.
The sailboat from Sunrise Sailing outline was stamped with Memento Black ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and the hull and sail stripes with Real Red Ink. It was cut with the sailboat die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The “sun” was 1-1/2 circle punched from Daffodil Delight cardstock and added to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Retirement from Sunrise Sailing was stamped with Memento Black on 1/2 x 3-1/2 Pool Party and added across the sun.
The birds were stamped with Memento Black Ink.
A trio of dark Shades of Green Hexagons were added to the background water.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a beach scene! I wish it would get warm enough around here to go to the beach at the lake…it’s been TOO cool so far!

NOTES & TOTES

I was SO excited to see Stampin’ Up! came out with this Notes & Totes Bundle! Love it! Debbie and I have already done a class tutorial for CSF with it. SO CUTE! But here’s my card inspired by the beach scene inspiration photo! I even used the “newspaper” or iPad die-cut to make my towel!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover cardstock was stamped with the greeting using Poppy Parade Ink in the upper right corner and added to the front.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Balmy Blue cardstock was torn across the top and adhered behind a 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Crumb Cake torn across the top. The Crumb Cake was stamped with the sand image randomly with Crumb Cake Ink.
Two clouds were cut from Basic White cardstock with the Sunrise Sailing Dies and added to the background along the top.
The tote was cut from Poppy Parade cardstock and stamped with the hibiscus flower in Poppy Parade Ink randomly.
The handle and base of the tote were cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the tote. The tote was adhered to the front of the card with Monoadhesive Glue on the tab portions and Stampin’ Dimensionals for the body of the tote.
The towel was cut with the Newspaper/iPad Die from Mixed Media Designer Paper and the top folded down to hang out of the tote.
Two bands were cut from Petal Pink cardstock and added as the trim for the towel.
The sunglasses were cut from Basic White and Basic Black cardstock and adhered together, then added to the handle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The shell was cut from Cloud Cover and the starfish from Basic White and added next to the toe with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The water bottle was cut from Petal Pink and stamped with a Flirty Flamingo sun, then tucked in the bag.
A trio of Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the background.
