IM417 – Woolly Friends

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is some cute little sheep!

WOOLLY FRIENDS

Obviously, I had to use the new Woolly Friends stamp set and punch on today’s card! It will be available to order January 6th! So cute!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 piece of Basic White cardstock was added on the front.
The 2 x 4-3/4 piece of Cute As A Bug DSP was cut in curves across the top, then adhered to the bottom of 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 Cloud Cover cardstock.
The trio of flowers was stamped above the “grass” on the Cloud Cover cardstock with Memento Black Ink, the blossoms with Crushed Curry Ink, and the leaves with Old Olive Ink.
Another trio of flowers was stamped on Basic White cardstock and two of them hand-cut.
The sheep was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored around the edges with Light Smoky Slate Blends, the cheeks with Light Bubble Bath Blends. It was punched with the Woolly Friends Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The cut flowers were added next to her with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2-3/4 and cut with a banner end, then adhered at the top right corner.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to her neck.
A trio of Moody Palette Glossy Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Winter Scenes

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “Winter Scenes”. Hard to believe that Christmas is over already! Didn’t those first weeks in December just fly by? Now it’s time to celebrate the New Year!

ASPEN GROVE

I knew I wanted to use the new Aspen Grove stamp set (available in January!) on today’s card! I combined it with a current set, Delicate Pines, for a winter look!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Aspen Grove tree trunks on the left (3) and on the right (2). NOTE: Did you know these trunks are SEPARATE stamps? I didn’t know until I just used it! Makes it easy to use just a couple, or an entire row! The Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend was used to add a shadow on the right side of the tree trunks.
The stamped piece was added to a 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, then added to the front.
The middle snowflake from Delicate Pines was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White and cut with the Delicate Pines Die.
The smaller snowflake was cut with the Delicate Pines Die from Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper and added to the center of the medium snowflake with Monoadhesive Glue. The entire snowflake was added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Delicate Pines was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on 5/8 x 2-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.
Some Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the background and the center of the small snowflake.

CS225 – Valentine Kisses

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “All You Need is Love”!

VALENTINE KISSES

I picked up this set just because of the cute kissing booth! Here’s the first card I made with it.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Flirty Flamingo Ink.
A 3/4 x 4-3/4 strip of striped Made with Love DSP was added down the left side.
Another 1 x 3 hearts Made with Love DSP was added on top.
The Valentine Kisses frame and shelf were cut from Real Red Cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bear head was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the Valentine Kisses Die. It was added inside the frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The heart trio was stamped above the frame with Real Red Ink.
Two pink Loose Valentine Assortment hearts were added to the ends of the shelf.

IM416 – Ornamental Christmas

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a pretty mountain scene!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

You’ll have to look closely to see the majority of stamping on this card! I used the evergreen tree from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set with Mossy Meadow Ink across the bottom of the striped Celebratory Sips Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was stamped with the Ornamental Christmas greeting at the bottom with Mossy Meadow Ink.
The Black & Gold Twine was wrapped several times around the Basic Beige layer and tied in a bow at the left side. The cardstock was added to the base card.
The green stripe Celebratory Sips DSP was torn across the top and stamped across with the pine tree from Ornamental Christmas in Mossy Meadow Ink. It was adhered to a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Misty Moonlight,
A larger piece of Basic Beige cardstock was torn across the top, then brushed with Basic Beige Ink on the torn edges and tucked above the green DSP.
A white panel was hand-cut into a “mountain” background and added above the Basic Beige torn piece.
The deer from Autumn Trees Dies were cut from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front of the stamped green stripe DSP.
All the layers were then cut with the Perennial Postage Die. It was set slightly off center on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 1″ circle was cut from Basic White cardstock for the moon.

Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas Tags

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “Christmas Tags”. Are you all done wrapping? If not, here are a few ideas for some tags for your packages!

SNOWY DELIGHTS & SNOWFLAKE KISSES

I make my Christmas tags every year and base them on what my Christmas wrapping paper looks like! For this challenge, I made up a quick tag using the Snowy Delights and Snowflake Kisses dies and added them to the Spotlight on Nature circles!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is Basic White cardstock cut with the Spotlight on Nature circle Die.
A smaller circle die was used to cut the Peaceful Garden DSP and was adhered to the White circle.
The snowflake from Snowy Delights was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and adhered to the circles.
A small snowflake from Snowflake Kisses was cut from Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper and adhered to the center of the larger snowflake.
JOY from Keeping Traditions stamp set was stamped with Real Red Ink on 1/2 x 3 Basic White cardstock and cut the ends at an angle. It was added to the snowflakes with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A small red Faceted Snowflake was added to the center.
Some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine was looped thru the holes in the top circle and tied in a knot.

It’s all ready to sign TO/FROM on the back and add to your package for someone special! CSF900 – Sweet Bugs (TWO WEEKS)

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We’ve got a fun color challenge this week! This challenge will run for TWO weeks to allow our design team to enjoy the Christmas holiday! Hope you have a blessed one! Merry Christmas!

SWEET BUGS

This bundle caught my eye with all the sweet bugs in it! Here’s my first chance using it! I can’t tell you the last time I’ve used Shy Shamrock…probably when it first came out! Just not a color green that pulls me in…good thing Stampin’ Up! has LOTS of colors of green!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shy Shamrock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the new Hearts of Love Embossing Folder.
A 1 x 4 strip of Pleasant Patterns Specialty DSP was added towards the bottom (this has a glossy look on the stripes…so fun!)
A 1/4 x 4 strip of Berry Burst cardstock was added on top of the DSP.
The Sweet Bugs image and ground flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Berry Burst and Shy Shamrock Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Stylish Shapes large circle Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Sweet Bugs greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/8 x 3 strip of Shy Shamrock cardstock and cut apart, then added to the front and circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots (Last Chance) were added to the background.

CS224 – Endless Love

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “All You Need is Love”! Could be love at Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Wedding, Anniversary…so many ways to express love!

ENDLESS LOVE

I’m using one of the upcoming love sets, Endless Love for today’s card! There are greetings for every day, wedding, and Valentine’s, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer or Real Red cardstock is on top.
The Made with Love Designer paper was cut to the following and adhered on front leaving approx. 1/8″ margins:
- Stripe: 1-1/4 x 3-3/4
- XOs: 2-5/8 x 3-5/8
- Arrows: 1 x 3-5/8
TIP: Cut three 3-3/4 x 5 DSP pieces in different patterns, swap the designs and make three cards at once!
The heart tag was cut with the Endless Love Die from Flirty Flamingo cardstock and stamped with the string heart with Real Red Ink.
Some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow at the top of the tag and then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hugs & Kisses was stamped with Real Red on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label die. It was added to the heart tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two pink Loose Valentine’s hearts were added to cover the tag hole.

IM415 – Endless Love

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a colorful heart print!

ENDLESS LOVE

I found some variegated designer paper in the Splash of Sparkles Designer Paper! It is hard to tell in the photos, but it has a mottled metallic finish, so it really has a variety of colors in it because of the reflection!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Berry Burst cardstock was embossed with the Hearts of Love Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The large Endless Heart was cut with the die from the Splash of Sparkles DSP and added to the front on an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The large arrow and XO were cut with the dies from Lost Lagoon cardstock and the arrow cut in half, then added behind the large heart.
The small heart was stamped with Berry Burst Ink on Bubble Bath cardstock and cut with the small heart die. It was added next to the large heart. The XO was adhered on top.
The Sending You greeting was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on 1/2 x 3 strip of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the large heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leftover Lost Lagoon heart (from the O) was added at the top background and two Loose Valentine’s Assortment hearts were added to the large heart and the bottom background.
