Saturday Blog Hop – Colors of Fall

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Colors of Fall”. One of my favorite things are fall mums this time of year! They look so festive on everyone’s porches!

COLOR & CONTOUR

I thought the flowers in the Color & Contour would make pretty mums and paired them with the All About Autumn Designer Paper that is FINALLY back in stock!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Copper Clay cardstock, score at 5-1/2 and fold to form base card.
A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of All About Autumn DSP was added to the right side.
The large scallop rectangle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Scalloped Contour Dies and stamped with the greeting in Copper Clay Ink, then added to the front.
The flowers were stamped with Copper Clay Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Blackberry Bliss Inks using Blending Brushes. The centers were colored with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and ringed with the Dark Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Scalloped Contour Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink and colored with Mossy Meadow and Copper Clay Inks using the Blending Brushes, then hand-cut and added under the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of green Speckled Dots were added to the background.

CCMC791 – Ringed with Nature

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch challenge this week!

RINGED WITH NATURE

I miss having a pretty poinsettia set in this year’s July-December Mini Catalog (and a SNOWMAN set!!!) So, I pulled out my Ringed with Nature Bundle to work with on today’s card and combined it with the A Walk in the Forest Designer Paper.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was added on top.
A 2 x 4 piece of A Walk in the Forest striped DSP was added in the back, then a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 pine need pattern from A Walk in the Forest on top.
The 2 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White was added on top.
The tree ring was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and hand-cut (or use the Tree Rings Die). It was added to the front of the Basic White piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The poinsettia flower was stamped twice with Real Red Ink and once with Garden Green Ink, then hand-cut and added the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. (The green one was cut into pieces for the leaves.)
Merry Christmas was stamped with Real Red Ink on 5/8 x 2-3/4 piece of Garden Green cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Wild Wheat In Color Dots were added to the centers of the poinsettias.

CS113 – Cottage Wreaths

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is Fall cards!

COTTAGE WREATHS

I’ve used three layers of the Cottage Wreaths Dies to make my fall wreath, pulling the colors from the All About Autumn Designer Paper.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 fall trees print from All About Autumn DSP was added at an angle on the front.
The 3 x 4 wood plank print from All About Autumn DSP was added at the opposite angle.
The wreath was cut from Cherry Cobbler, the next from Pumpkin Pie and the top from Crushed Curry cardstocks using the Country Wreath Dies. The bow was cut from Pecan Pie cardstock. Three leaf clusters were cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. They were adhered together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Grateful from Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set was stamped on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock with Cherry Cobbler Ink and cut at an angle. It was tucked under the side of the wreath.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to the wood plank DSP background.

CCMC790 – Inked and Tiled

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a bright color challenge to inspire you this week!

INKED & TILED

Once the mini comes out, I have a hard time going back and using the regular catalog items. So, for this challenge, I pulled out the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set and gave it a “fall” look with these colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Starry Sky cardstock was added on top.
The 3 x 5-1/4 piece of O Holy Night Designer Paper was added on top.
The two smaller and one larger Deckled Circles were cut from Basic White cardstock. The leaves clusters were stamped on the smaller ones with Cajun Craze Ink.
The flower top was inked with Pumpkin Pie, the center with Cajun Craze Marker and the stem and leaf with Starry Sky Marker. An extra flower was added the same way.
Some speckles from Quiet Meadow Stamp Set were added with stamped off Starry Sky Ink.
The leaves circles were adhered to the front and the center circle was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems were added to the circles.
Happy Birthday from Inked & Tiled stamp set was stamped with Starry Sky Ink on 3/4 x 2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, cut the end at an angle and added with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

CS112 – Warmest Wishes

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is Fall cards!

WARMEST HEART

This was my swap card for the fall Control Freaks swap a couple months ago! I love this plaid in the Them Bones Designer Paper! I remember my dad always carried one of the large thermoses around with him when he was farming.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, score at 5-1/2 and fold to form base card.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was added on top.
The 2-1/2 x 4 plaid print from Them Bones Designer Paper was added across the center.
A 1/2 x 4 band of Basic Black cardstock was added across the Radiating Stitches Die cut from Basic Gray.
Get well soon from Warmest Heart was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner.
The large thermos was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pumpkin Pie and decorated with the Warmest Heart decorative die from Cajun Craze cardstock.
The other thermos was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on Cajun Craze cardstock, then trimmed down shorter. The band across the bottom was colored with the Basic Black Blends. The top and handle were cut with the dies from Basic Black cardstock. Both thermoses were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A black Sparkle Gem was added to the lid of the thermos.

IM303 – Rustic Crate

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. Here is a pretty pumpkin centerpiece to inspire you!

RUSTIC CRATE

I thought my Rustic Crate Bundle would be a great one to use for today’s challenge! I love the soft blue/green color of this pumpkin…the arrangement colors would go great in my house!

Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- Two 1-1/8 x 5-1/2 pieces of Hello Irresistible Designer Paper were added down the front.
- A 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 square of Crumb Cake cardstock was added to the front.
- Very Vanilla cardstock was cut with the Deckled Circles Dies and added to the square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The pumpkin/flower image in Rustic Crate Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Soft Sea Foam, Lemon Lolly and Light Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Rustic Crate Dies.
- A large, looped bow of Linen Thread was added to the Deckle Circle with a Stampin’ Dimensional, then the pumpkin/flower image added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Hello was cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock with the Rustic Crate Dies.
- A trio of Iridescent Pastel Gems were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Spooky Forest

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary blog hop theme is “Spooky Forest”! I love the tree die in Aspen Trees and combined it with the new Bag of Bones Dies! I also added a spooky night sky by blending inks on Basic White cardstock!

BAG OF BONES

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was colored with Lot Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy and Blackberry Bliss Inks using the Blending Brushes and added to the front.
The moon was punched with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch from Basic White cardstock and lightly brushed with Misty Moonlight Ink, then stamped with the single bat in Memento Black Ink. It was adhered towards the top of the night sky background.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock was cut with the Aspen Tree Die and adhered on front of the night sky layer.
The tombstone from the Bag of Bones Dies was cut from Basic Gray cardstock and stamped with the Bag of Bones greeting in Memento Black Ink.
The pile of bones was cut from Basic White cardstock and adhered at the bottom of the tombstone. The tombstone was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The skeleton was cut from the Them Bones Designer Paper and added behind the tombstone with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Glow in the Dark Bats were added to the background.

FLUFFIEST FRIENDS

Fluffiest Friends Bundle is a new Online Exclusive that is available for demos to preorder right now! It will be available for everyone to order beginning November 7th. These little critters are just the CUTEST ever! I chose the kitty cat, of course, to use first!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3 x 4-1/2 floral piece of Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper was added to the background on an angle.
The 2-1/2 x 4 stripe piece of Delightfully Eclectic DSP was added on top.
On a 2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock, the cat was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Bubble Bath and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and used a Color Lifter to soften the edges.
The stamped layer was added to a 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Berry Bliss cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Charming Sentiments was stamped with Berry Bliss Ink on a 3/4 x 2 piece of Bubble Bath cardstock and the end cut at a point and adhered to the front.
A trio of Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs were added to the background.
