CCMC746 – Celebrate with Tags

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This color challenge will run for TWO WEEKS while we celebrate the holidays!  Merry Christmas to everyone!

 

CELEBRATE WITH TAGS

This card only has the greeting from Celebrate with Tags stamped, but I love all the other details on here!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3 x 5-1/4 layer of Boughs of Holly Designer Paper was added to the left side.
  • Half of the ag was cut from Gold Glimmer Paper with the Celebration Tags Dies and the bottom scallop portion cut from Real Red cardstock.  They were adhered together.
  • Some Real Red Ribbon was tied at the top of the tag and added to the front on an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Merry Christmas from Celebrate with Tags was stamped with Real Red Ink on 1 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock and cut with flag ends.
  • Two snowflakes were cut from Basic White cardstock with the Celebration Tags Dies and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Some white Seasonal Sequins were added to the center of the snowflakes and next to the greeting.

IM258 – Snowman Magic

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge.  Love this snowman paper towel holder!  SO cute!

 

 

SNOWMAN MAGIC

Here’s what I did with the inspiration!  Of course, I had to use my Snowman Magic stamp set!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pacific Point cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was cut with the snowflake frame from the Snowman Dies.
    • A 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Storybook Gnomes Designer Paper was adhered to the back of the frame, then added to the base card.
    • The snowman, hat, face, and buttons were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and cut with the second from largest Stylish Shapes Circle.  Another torn piece of Basic White cardstock was partially cut with the circle and added at the bottom of the circle for the snowbank.  The snowbank image was stamped off with Pacific Point Ink.
    • The scarf and bluebird were stamped with Pacific Point Ink on Basic White and cut with the Snowman Dies.
    • The bunny was stamped with Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White and cut with the Snowman Dies.
    • The arms were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock.
    • All were layered on the snowman.
    • The nose was colored with Dark Pumpkin Pie and the hat band with Pacific Point and the cheeks with Flirty Flamingo Markers.
    • The holly was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Dies and added to the hat.
    • The greeting was curved on the block and then stamped with Pacific Point Ink at the bottom of the frame.
    • A trio of small Rhinestone Jewels were added to the frame snowflakes for a little bling.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Country Christmas

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Country Christmas”.  What a fun theme!  I know my own home has gone from glittery gold, copper and bronze decorations to red check and teal colors mixed in for a more country farmhouse look!

CHRISTMAS BARN

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was sponged across the top with Pool Party Ink and stamped with the little flurries in Trees For Sale stamp set with Pool Party Ink.  The background was colored with Pool Party using a Blending Brush.  The sun was sponged with So Saffron Ink towards the middle.
  • The greeting from Christmas Barn stamp set was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink towards the bottom.
  • The barn was stamped with Memento Black Ink and mostly colored with Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends, leaving a few white areas.  The Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends were applied over the Real Red to darken the color all over.  The roof and trim was colored with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends and the windows with Light So Saffron Blends.  The barn was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The silo was cut with the Barn Dies from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and sponged with Gray Granite Ink to darken.  It was added beside the barn.
  • Three trees and the wreath were stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink and colored with Light Soft Succulent and SU 300 Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Barn Dies and the trees added to the background.  The wreath was added to the barn.

CCMC745 – Christmas Lights

Wow!  First of December already!!!  This year has flown by!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  We’ve done a couple sketches with these angled layers, but here’s another variation!

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Even though Christmas trees are normally green, I wanted to shake things up with my blue Christmas tree theme!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 3 x 4-1/2 layer of Basic White is placed at an angle on the front.
  • The snowflake pattern in Storybook Gnomes DSP is added over the Basic White.
  • The tree from Christmas Lights was stamped with VersaMark on Balmy Blue cardstock and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  It was cut with the Twinkling Lights Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 3/8 X 3-3/4 strip of Silver Foil was added across the front towards the bottom.
  • Noel from Framed & Festive Stamp Set (only available while supplies last) is stamped with Pacific Point Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.  It was added to the Silver Foil strip.
  • An Adhesive Backed Star was added to the top of the tree!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – All That Glistens

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “All That Glistens”.  Can be cards with Glimmer Paper, Embossing, Metallic Paper, Wink of Stella…anything that gives a shimmer or shine!  That’s one of my favorite things about the holidays…can’t have too much!

PEACE TO YOU

It is hard to see from this first photo, but the church image actually is covered with Clear Embossing Powder, so it shimmers and shines, too!  See the last photo!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Orchid Oasis cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Silver Metallic Foil was added on top.
  • The 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Snowflake Specialty Vellum (iridescent!) was added towards the left side.
  • A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock was embossed with the Wintery 3D Embossing Folder and added across the front.
  • The Peace to You church image was stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink on Basic White and cut with the largest Stylish Shapes Circle.  TIP:  the image is slightly smaller than the circle, so use your Orchid Oasis Dark Stampin’ Blends to color in the white edges!  It blends perfectly!
  • Cover the circle with Versamark on the front and add Clear Embossing Powder.  Heat until set and glossy!  Add to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add three Adhesive-Backed Stars to the background for a little extra sparkle!

CCMC744 – Christmas Lights

Wow!  First of December already!!!  This year has flown by!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  I love this color combination as an alternative to traditional Christmas colors!

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

And I’ve had this idea in my head to use the detailed Christmas tree and snowflake from Christmas Lights Stamp Set as an angel and this was the perfect time!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder and added to the front of the base card.
  • The tree from Christmas Lights stamp set was stamped with Versamark on Fresh Freesia cardstock and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, then cut with the Twinkling Lights Dies.
  • The snowflake from Christmas Lights stamp set was stamped with Balmy Blue Ink on Balmy Blue cardstock and punched with the Decorative Circle Punch, then cut in half for the angel wings.  They were adhered behind the “dress”.
  • The head was cut with the second to smallest Stitched Shapes circle die from Basic White and So Saffron cardstocks (sorry, I needed a natural hair color so added to the color combo).  The So Saffron circle was hand-cut for hair and adhered to the Basic White circle.  The face was hand drawn with the Basic Black Marker and cheeks with Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends.
  • The halo was cut with the smallest Stitched Shapes circle from Silver Foil and added behind the head.
  • The Iridescent Trim was tied in a bow and added to the “neck” with a couple Mini Glue Dots.
  • Merry Wishes from Window Wishes stamp set was stamped with Balmy Blue Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White and ends trimmed at an angle.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Celebrate Holidays”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in November using that theme!

MERRIEST MOMENTS

Today’s card combines new product with a favorite set from last year!  I used Merriest Moments a TON last Christmas season.  I love the poinsettias!  I thought it would be perfect to pair with the heart frame using the Framed Florets Dies that are available to order now, but will be in the new January-April Mini Catalog!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was cut with the heart oval frame from Framed Florets Dies, then adhered to the front.
  • The center portion of another smaller oval was cut from Brushed Metallic gold cardstock and stamped with the greeting from Merriest Moments in Stazon Ink.  TIP:  Immediately clean your photopolymer stamp with an alcohol swab and then rinse with the Stampin’ Mist to clean and prevent the black from staining.
  • The large and small poinsettia from Merriest Moments Stamp Set were stamped with Real Red Ink and two large and one small leaf with Garden Green Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Merriest Frames Dies (on sale Dec 1 for 60% off!!!).  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Gold Seasonal Sequins were added to the center of the poinsettias.

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge.  Isn’t this a fun candy cane “wreath” or decor piece for your door or wall?

 

 

SWEET CANDY CANES

Here’s what I did with the inspiration!  Of course, I had to use the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock is embossed with the Merriest Frames Embossing Folder and adhered to the front.
    • Two candy canes were stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock, then the stripes colored with the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Candy Cane Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Some Real Red Woven Ribbon (combo with Garden Green) was tied in a bow and added to the crossed candy canes with Mini Glue Dots.
    • The greeting from Sweet Candy Canes stamp set was stamped with Real Red Ink and cut with the oval in the All That Dies.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
