CCMC667 – Artistically Inked

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a gorgeous color combination this week…who else LOVES the new Pale Papaya color????

ARTISTICALLY INKED

I love the abstract watercolor look of the flowers in the Artistically Inked Bundle. And that Expressions of Ink Designer Paper…wow! It is gorgeous! It is hard even to cut it. But, you know…I can always buy more, right?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Expressions of Ink Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the front.
A 3-1/2 by 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was trimmed with the Basic Borders Die, stamped with “Thanks” and some dots in Calypso Coral Ink, then added to the front.
The large flower image from Artistically Inked Stamp Set was inked with the Pale Papaya Ink, and Calypso Coral Ink was sponged on the edges before stamping on scrap Basic White. A few Calypso Coral dots were stamped on the flower. The center was stamped with Calypso Coral Ink and two sets of leaves with Pear Pizzazz Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock. They were cut with the Artistic Dies and added to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some gold leaves and sprigs from Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack were tucked under the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM178 – Inspiration Monday

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have yummy flower cupcakes to inspire us!

QUIET MEADOW

I just recently picked up this Quiet Meadow bundle…thought the flower worked well for this challenge, especially embossed with white on the pastel colors!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Natural Touch Specialty Paper was added on top.
- The background fern and butterfly from Meadow Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the background.
- The flower from Quiet Meadow stamp set was inked with White Craft Ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder on each of the So Saffron, Balmy Blue and Blushing Bride cardstocks. They were hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Thinking of You was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then cut with the label from Meadow Dies and added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of Champagne Rhinestones were added in the background for a little bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Annual Catalog Bundle

This week’s blog hop theme is our Favorite New Annual Catalog Stamp Set or Bundle. I have SEVERAL favorites, but I was most excited to get the Sweet As a Peach Bundle! Here’s one of the cards my Stamp Club made this month using it!

SWEET AS A PEACH

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pale Papaya cardstock.
Three patterns of You’re A Peach DSP were cut to 1-1/2 x 3-1/4 and added on top.
The scallop rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly was cut from Basic White cardstock, then stamped with the Have a Peachy Day greeting in Calypso Coral Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The trio of peaches image were inked with Pale Papaya, then sponged with some Calypso Coral Ink for a two tone look. The leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzazz Ink. Both were cut with the Peach Dies and added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 3″ piece of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon was tied in a knot and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
Two Elegant Faceted Gems were added to the bottom.

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a FUN sketch this week!

WILD CATS

I wanted to use something a little different on my card today, so I used the In the Wild Designer Paper with the A Good Man greeting! Now I know I want to get that Wild Cats Bundle!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Evening Evergreen cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of In the Wild Designer Paper was added down the center.
A 3 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting from A Good Man in Evening Evergreen Ink. It was added to a 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece o Soft Succulent cardstock, then adhered to the front.
A 1/2 x 4 piece of In The Wild DSP was added across the front.
The tiger was cut from the In The Wild DSP and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Holiday Rhinestones were added to the background.

IM177 – Inspiration Monday

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a colorful wreath to inspire us!

SWEET AS A PEACH

What else would I use besides Stampin’ Up!’s new Sweet as a Peach bundle on my card today! It was a perfect inspiration piece for it! I picked the “peaches” to build my card around.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
- A 1-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of You’re a Peach DSP (blue stripe) was added down the left side.
- A 1-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of the floral You’re A Peach DSP was added going across.
- The peach was inked with Pale Papaya and a sponge dauber to add Calypso Coral along one side, then stamped on Basic White cardstock. Repeat for second one.
- The leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzazz Ink, the flower with Balmy Blue Ink.
- All were cut with the Peach Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A small trio flower was cut from Calypso Coral cardstock and added to the center of the flower.
- The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
- A trio of Genial Gems were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Designer Paper

This week’s blog hop theme is Favorite New Designer Paper. Hands down…the new You’re a Peach Designer Paper is my favorite right now! I especially LOVE this small peach print I used on my card! It reminds me of a little sundress romper that I used to have MANY moons ago! I’ve used ALL DSP on this card with only the greeting stamped!

SWEET AS A PEACH

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of the little peach print is added to the top.
A 1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of the stripe is added to hide the seam.
Sweet as a Peach is stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink in the lower right corner.
Two of the large peaches from the Peach Dies were cut from the polka dot You’re a Peach DSP and sponged around the edges with Calypso Coral Ink.
Two of the leaves from the Peach Dies were cut from the green print You’re a Peach DSP and sponged around the edges with Shaded Spruce Ink.
They were all added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two pieces of Linen Thread were tied in a bow and added to the stems.
An Artistry Blooms sequin was added next to the greeting for a little bling.

CCMC664 – Hand Penned Petals

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It is a pretty color combination!

HAND-PENNED PETALS

I decided to use the beautiful Hand-Penned Designer Paper for the colors I needed for the color challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Hand-Penned Designer Paper.
A 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Night of Navy cardstock towards the left side.
A 3/8 x 4 strip of Flirty Flamingo cardstock was added to the left side, then a 1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Bumblebee cardstock on top.
A 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White has the floral die cut with Penned Flowers Dies from Flirty Flamingo cardstock and adhered with Monoadhesive Glue.
The greeting was stamped with Night of Navy Ink.
Some Opal Rounds were colored with Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends and added to the center of the flowers.

IM176 – Inspiration Monday

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a graphic vase print!

IN BLOOM BUNDLE

Hmmm, this one was a little more challenging for me! I pulled out my trusty In Bloom Bundle to work out my graphic design.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bumblebee cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was added on top.
- The long label from Tasteful Labels Dies was added on the right side.
- The two sized flowers, leaves and two stems were cut from Basic Black with the Pierced Blooms Dies, the centers from Bumblebee cardstock. They were placed and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Bumblebee cardstock and cut with the Tasteful Label Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Three Matte Black Dots were added to the label.
