Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Preorder Stamp Set

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Many demos are getting their preorders and we are starting to see some fabulous works of art using them! This week our theme is Favorite Preorder Stamp Set. Well, if you know me, that is nearly impossible to choose! But, I went with one that did catch my eye right away. And, although I LOVE the dies in this set, I was just in the mood for some coloring!

CELEBRATE SUNFLOWER

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, the 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Just Jade In Color 6×6 DSP was added on the right side.
A 3 x 4 piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock was punched with the Detailed Trio Punch, both the corner design and the corner rounder. (I can’t believe I JUST bought this punch! I’ve used it quite a bit already!) It was added on an angle to the front of the card.
The sunflower was stamped with Crushed Curry Ink on Whisper White, then colored with Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light & Dark Mango Melody and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.
The inside center was colored with Bronze Blends, then dotted with the Early Espresso Marker to resemble the “seeds” of the sunflower.
The leaves were stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink, then colored with Light & Dark Shaded Spruce Blends.
All were cut out using the Sunflowers Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thanks a bunch was stamped on a 3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Whisper White and added to the front.
Two In Color Enamel Dots were added for a little bling.

CCMC613 – Dressed to Impress

Happy Thursday! We have a soft and pretty color challenge today over on Create with Connie and Mary! Make sure to stop by and see what our awesome Challenge Team has done this week!

This is one of the Mother’s Day cards I made this year! I love the Dressed to Impress Bundle, but haven’t used the purse as much as I wanted. I thought it would be fun to add a portion of it to the front of a card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Seaside Spray cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of So Saffron cardstock, the sprinkle image was stamped with So Saffron Ink in the upper left and lower right corners.
The front of the purse was cut from Smoky Slate cardstock with the All Dressed Up Dies, then added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two of the buckles were cut from Silver Foil Paper with the All Dressed Up Dies.
The 6″ Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon was placed thru the buckles, then added to the front of the purse with Mini Glue Dots.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the label in All Dressed Up Dies and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The roses from Dressed to Impress Stamp Set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Light & Dark So Saffron and Light & Dark Seaside Spray. They were cut with the All Dressed Up Dies, then added around the greeting label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CELEBRATE SUNFLOWERS

The lacy sunflower die in the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle just MAKES this set! I love that you can stamp a layer underneath it, like I did here, or you can do two die cuts!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 new In Color Bumble Bee cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was stamped randomly with the small sunflower image with Crumb Cake Ink all around the background.
- A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of In Good Taste DSP was added to a 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Early Espresso cardstock and added to the front.
- The sunflower was stamped with Terracotta Tile Ink on Bumble Bee cardstock, then cut with the outline Sunflower Die.
- The detailed Sunflower was cut with the Die from Daffodil Delight cardstock.
- A 1-1/2 Circle was punch from Early Espresso cardstock and sandwiched between the outline layer and the detail Sunflower layer with Monoadhesive Glue. The sunflower was added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The center of the Sunflower was cut with the Die from Early Espresso cardstock and added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on Garden Green and cut with the Sunflower Die. They were tucked under the right side of the Sunflower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Celebrate Sunflowers was stamped with Terracotta Tile Ink on Whisper White, then trimmed and tucked under the center on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A Bumble Bee In Color Enamel Dot was added to the center for a little bling!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Smoky Slate cardstock was embossed with the new Greenery Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of From My Heart Designer Paper was added across the front.
The Whisper White rectangle was cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and added diagonally on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Hello greeting from Forever Fern was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper right corner.
The fern from Forever Flourishing Dies was cut from Smoky Slate cardstock and adhered with Monoadhesive Glue.
A trio of Red Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background.

IM124 – Painted Poppies

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is yummy lollipop!

I decided to pull out Painted Poppies stamp set to use. The swirl in the Painted Label Dies reminded me of this lollipop!!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam was embossed with the Ornate Style Embossing Folder.
- The swirl from Painted Labels was cut with the die from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Peaceful Moments with Memento Black Ink. It was added to the front.
- The Painted Poppies flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then colored with the Calypso Coral Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo and Shaded Spruce Combo Stampin’ Blends. They were cut out with the Painted Label Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A Perennial Essence Floral Center was added to the larger flower. SO sad to see these retire..they make great realistic centers! I stocked up!
- A trio of Adhesive Sequins were added in the background.

CCMC612 – Timeless Tropical

Hello everyone! Hope you are well! Today on Create with Connie and Mary, we have a fun sketch challenge for you to try!

I kind of took liberty with the sketch, substituting my pineapple for the rectangle piece! Thought it worked out pretty well!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder an added on top.
Three 1 x 3-3/4 panels of Tropical Oasis Designer Paper were added to the background.
The pineapple base was cut from Mango Melody cardstock with the In The Tropics Die and sponged with Mango Melody Ink.
The pineapple base was cut from Old Olive cardstock with the In The Tropics Die and sponged with Shaded Spruce Ink. Both were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower from Timeless Tropical stamp set was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with the Light Flirty Flamingo and Dark Petal Pink Blends. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The center flower was cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the In The Tropics Die and added to the flower with Mini Glue Dot.
The small leaf was cut from Old Olive cardstock with the In The Tropics Die.and tucked under the flower.
Hello from Timeless Tropical Stamp Set was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on scrap Whisper White and tucked under the smaller flower on the front and secured with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
Three pink Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added to the top and the center of the flower.
A double strand of Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the neck of the pineapple.

IM123 – A Good Man

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is fun wall hanging! I love all the colors in this!

Again, there is very little stamping on my card…just the greeting, so it would be perfect for a card kit class! Add in the price of a package of Clear & Frosted Droplets so the can use as many as they want on their own card!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- Cut three each of the second from smallest Stitched Shapes Circles from Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather cardstocks with the Dies.
- On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, start with the center Stitched Shape Circle and add it with a couple Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then space the top and bottom circles from it. Trim. Move onto adding the side circles and trim sides, then trim the top and bottom.
- Stamp the greeting on scrap Whisper White with Pacific Point Ink, cut with the smallest Stitched Shape Square. Add to the bottom center circle with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
- Add your Clear Epoxy Droplets to each of the circles (that was the hardest part!) so they are spaced out evenly.

Isn’t that a fun card…and looks like the inspiration piece, doesn’t it? Those Stitched Shapes Circles do all the work! I think squares would look great, too! OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Saturday Blog Hop – Neglected Product

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week we are pulling out our “Neglected” stamp items! You know…those ones you bought LAST year and haven’t used since and now they are retiring? This It Starts With Art bundle I used a lot when it first came out, but haven’t used it since. Thought it was time to do one last hurrah before it retires next month! It will probably stay in my arsenal of stamps, because it is so perfect for a stamper, right? I also haven’t used the Pigment Sprinkles except for a couple times!

IT STARTS WITH ART

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock.
A 2-1/2 x 3-7/8 piece of Whisper White was spritzed with water and then sprinkled with the Pigment Inks (also retiring…boo!). After dried, it was embossed with the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder and added to a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Whisper White cardstock.
The greeting was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink in the lower left corner.
The marker pens were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Granny Apple Green Combo, Bermuda Bay Combo and Smoky Slate Combo Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Arts & Crafts Dies and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Strips of Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay cardstock were cut with the ribbon die in Arts & Crafts Dies, then added to the front under the tip of the marker.
A trio of Glitter Dots were added to the background for a little bling!
