IM120 – Wild Rose

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some delicious looking cookies…too pretty to eat, right?

I pulled out Wild Rose Bundle…one of my favorite flower sets from the Annual Catalog. I really like how stamping the Sahara Sand on Very Vanilla made it look like tone-on-tone white flowers like the cookies!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mint Macaron cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock was added on top.
- A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Garden Lane Designer Paper was added to the front.
- The large Wild Rose flower was stamped twice with Sahara Sand Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with the Wild Rose Dies. The center of one was cut out and added to the full flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then to the front with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The leaves were stamped off with Mint Macaron Ink and detail stamped full strength with Mint Macaron Ink, then cut with the Dies and adhered under the flower.
- The smaller detailed flowers were cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the dies and the fillers cut from Garden Green cardstock with the dies. Both were added with Monoadhesive Glue.
- The hello greeting from Wild Rose stamp set was stamped with Garden Green Ink.
- The large and small Clear Faceted Gems were added to the centers for a little bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – April Showers

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is April Showers…rain, rainbows, umbrellas, etc!

UNDER MY UMBRELLA & FABLE FRIENDS

I combined two sets for my card…Under My Umbrella and Fable Friends. I thought the duck was so cute (and appropriate) for an April Showers card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Marina Mist cardstock was embossed with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder, then layered on a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock.
A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Brights 6×6 Poppy Parade DSP was added across the front.
The Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle was cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the raindrops from Under My Umbrella several times with Marina Mist Ink, then adhered to the front.
The duck from Fable Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and colored with Light & Dark Pineapple Punch, Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie and Light Gray Granite Blends. He was cut out by hand and added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The umbrella from Under My Umbrella was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a piece of Brights 6×6 Poppy Parade DSP, then punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch. The handle was punched from Basic Gray cardstock. The umbrella was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the handle with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
The flower bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light & Dark Poppy Parade, Dark Call Me Clover and Light Pineapple Punch Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the top of the umbrella.
A Pineapple Punch Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot was added in the center of the flower.
The greeting from Under My Umbrella was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Poppy Parade, Marina Mist and Pineapple Punch color combinations is one of my favorites and I love how this card turned out with combining both those sets! It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge! This week is a really neat sketch for you to try!

I used my By The Dock Bundle for my card. I purchased this set because my family lives or has lived by a lake and does a lot of boating!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form base card.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake is embossed with the High Seas Embossing Folder.
The largest Nested Label was cut from Balmy Blue and trimmed to fit along the right side.
On a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock, the background was watercolored with Balmy Blue Ink along the bottom and Pool Party Ink across the top. The boat was stamped with Early Espresso Ink, then colored with the Light & Soft Crumb Cake Blends. and the waves were stamped with Balmy Blue Ink under the boat.
Happy Birthday was stamped with Early Espresso Ink in the upper left corner.
Two of the oars were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Crumb Cake cardstock, then cut with the Dockside Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Born to Shine

My niece commissioned me to do two Christmas cards for her sons’ dance teachers! Gave me a chance to use my Born to Shine stamp set that had been sitting unloved in my stamp drawer! Both use some designer paper from the Holiday catalog. AND the Clearance Rack has been updated today and the Stylish Scroll embossing folder is on the CLEARANCE RACK if you didn’t grab it before!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock, embossed with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.
A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Let it Snow Designer Paper was added to the bottom with a 1/2 x 4 strip of Real Red cardstock added across the front to hide the seam.
The Whisper White cardstock is cut with the Nested Label Die and stamped with the Born to Shine dancer in Memento Black Ink, the colored with Pool Party, Real Red, Ivory and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Merry Christmas was stamped with Real Red and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of red Rhinestones were added on front.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Seaside Spray cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White has a 3 x 5-1/4 piece of Feels Like Frost Designer Paper added towards the left side.
The Whisper White is cut with the Nested Label Die and stamped with the Born to Shine dancer in Memento Black Ink, then colored with the Seaside Spray, Ivory, So Saffron and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Seaside Spray and cut with the Nested Label Dies.
Some Silver thread was wrapped in circles and added behind the greeting label, then on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Rhinestones were added to the background.

I was happy she loved them and said the dance teachers loved them, too! Sorry, I forgot to get a closeup of the other card!

IM119 – Positive Thoughts

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a beautiful necklace! Isn’t that stunning?

They looked like feathers or leaves to me, so I went with feathers! I followed the layout of a “circle”, too!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the Coastal Weave embossing folder and added to the base.
- The embossed feather from the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Dies was cut twice from Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Soft Sea Foam cardstocks.
- The small feather in Positive Thoughts stamp set was stamped once with Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Soft Sea Foam Inks on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the feather outline die in Nature’s Thoughts Dies.
- All the feathers were arranged in a circular shape on the front of the base card.
- The greeting from Positive Thoughts was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Label Me Fancy Punch.
- It was adhered to another Label Me Fancy punched from Soft Suede cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sprig die image was cut three times from Sparkle Glimmer Paper and tucked under the label on top of the feathers.
- A couple Gold Glimmer Dots were added to each side of the label punch.

Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Favors

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is Easter favors (to coordinate with the Easter cards we did last week)! Not getting together for Easter dinner this year, but still plan on having the grandkid families over (separately!) to hunt Easter eggs outside…keeping a distance of 6 feet, of course!

WELCOME EASTER

I made a cello bag holder for some Palmer Chocolate Easter Eggs. Love that little bunny in the Welcome Easter stamp set! And, like last week, I used the Best Dressed Designer Paper…such nice colors for Easter!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is actually two parts.
On the left the 2-1/2 x 6 piece of Best Dressed floral DSP was adhered to a 2-3/4 x 6 piece of Mint Macaron cardstock.
On the right, a tray was made from 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Mint Macaron, scored with the short side on top at 1/4 and 1-1/2.
The eggs were adhered to the center of the tray with Mini Glue Dots, then the tray added to the larger base to form one piece.

The tag was cut with the Bonanza Die from Mint Macaron cardstock.
A 3/4 x 2-1/4 piece of striped Best Dressed DSP was added to the bottom.
The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Crumb Cake Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Easter was stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut closely around the words, then adhere to the top of the tag.
A trio of Nobel Peacock pink Rhinestones were added in the background.

The base piece slides into the 3 x 9 Printed Gusset Cellophane Bag and is tied with Petal Pink 1/4 Metallic Edge Ribbon with the tag added to the ribbon.

CCMC607 Ornate Thanks

Happy Thursday! Time for a cheerful color combination over on Create with Connie and Mary today! I knew right away that I wanted to do flowers and the awesome frame in the Ornate Layers Dies. But…it is SO funny…you have to see Mary’s card today! Talk about being on the same wavelength!

Here’s my card using the greeting in Ornate Thanks…that is the only stamping! The rest are the flowers and frame from Ornate Layers Dies!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer o Whisper White is embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder.
The frame was cut from Garden Green cardstock with the Ornate Layers Die.
A 1 x 2-3/8 piece of Whisper White was stamped with Thanks from Ornate Thanks stamp set and added to the front.
The flowers were cut from Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry cardstock with the Ornate Layers Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Gilded Gems were added to three of the flowers.
A bow was tied from the Garden Green Twine in Country Club Twine Pack, and added to the front with Mini Glue Dot.

IM118 – Tulips

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a beautiful watercolor tulip print!

I didn’t purchase the Timeless Tulips stamp set, but my friend did get the Tulip Builder Punch, so I borrowed hers to punch a few of the tulip shapes to make my card!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock is embossed with the Parisian Flourish embossing folder.
- The Whisper White panel was cut with the Ornate Layers Die and added to the front.
- The tulips were punched from Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Melon Mambo and Lovely Lipstick cardstock and the stems and leaves from Granny Apple Green cardstock. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Celebrate from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Classic Label Punch and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Nobel Peacock Rhinestones were added to the tulips for a little bling!
