IM46 – Painted Harvest

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! This canvas of Sunflowers is gorgeous, isn’t it? Of course, I had to pull out Painted Harvest to use…it just seemed to fit!

Here’s what I did with the inspiration…LOVE that Buffalo Check background!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mango Melody cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded (fold is on the side).
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the Buffalo Check Background and Mango Melody Ink.
Early Espresso cardstock was cut with the largest Stitched Shape Square.
The sunflower was stamped on a scrap piece of So Saffron cardstock with Crushed Curry, Mango Melody and Early Espresso Inks and punched with the 2-1/2 circle punch, then added to the square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A couple leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green, punched with the Trio Leaf Punch and tucked under the circle with Mini Glue Dots.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 1 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock then cut with a flag end.
A 1/4 x 3 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was added under the greeting.
Finally, a piece of Braided Linen Trim was tied in a knot and frayed, then added to the center of the sunflower with a Mini Glue Dot.

It’s a pretty simple layout, so you’d be surprised that I fussed and fussed with it! lol! In fact, I completely tore my original apart and redid it! Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Embellishment

This week on Create with Connie and Mary our theme is our favorite Embellishmet! That was MUCH harder to come up with a card than when I originally thought of the theme! lol! I really had a hard time deciding what to do! But when I was looking in my embellishment drawer, I saw these Iridescent Boxwood Wreaths that I hadn’t used yet this year! Although maybe they don’t qualify as “favorite”, they are pretty special! And, of course, I LOVE the Merry Merlot/Copper Reversible Ribbon that I used on here, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Merry Merlot cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/2 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
The Joyous Noel DSP is cut 3-1/4 x 5-1/2 and added as a center panel.
The Starburst Circle was punched from Merry Merlot cardstock and added to the top.
A 1-1/2 Circle was punched from Whisper White cardstock and added on the Starburst.
The greeting from Peaceful Noel was stamped with Merry Merlot Ink in the center of the circle.
The Iridescent Boxwood Wreath was opened and then glued around the edge of the 1-1/2 with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
The Merry Merlot/Copper Reversible Ribbon was tied in a bow and added to the top of the wreath with some Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC535 Peaceful Noel

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It is a beautiful color combination and I pulled out my Peaceful Noel stamp set to get some ink! I matched it with the beautiful Frosted Floral Designer Paper.

Here’s what I made:

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mint Macaron cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Night of Navy cardstock that is embossed with the Tufted Embossing Folder.
Across the front is a 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Frosted Floral Designer Paper…so shimmery!
The Stitched Shape Oval was cut from Whisper White cardstock, then stamped with the leaves and branches from Peaceful Noel in Mint Macaron and Mossy Meadow Inks.
Noel was stamped over to the right with Night of Navy Ink.
The flower is from Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Whisper White, then colored with the Night of Navy Blends. The leaves were colored with Old Olive Blends. It was cut out by hand and added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower was colored with Wink of Stella, too, and a Mint Macaron Faceted Dot added to the center.
The entire card front was splattered with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and AquaPainter. Love the little touch of sparkle and depth that it adds!

I really LOVE this card…and not normally colors I would use with it…but it turned out SO pretty! OK…make sure to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did over on Create with Connie and Mary…you’ll be glad you did! Lots of pretty inspiration for you!

IM45 – Beautiful Blizzard

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! Don’t these cookies look DELICIOUS!!! I wonder if they taste as good as they look! Wouldn’t they be beautiful as a centerpiece on your holiday table? I’d love some fake ones to display! lol!

Of course, I was inspired to use the Beautiful Blizzard Stamp Set and Blizzard Thinlits, especially since I had the perfect Blizzard cutout from Gold Foil already sitting on my desk to use!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 11 Shimmer White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gold Foil was cut with the Blizzard Thinlits. (Use the snowflakes for another project!)
A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Crumb Cake was placed across the center.
The Snowflake greeting from Beautiful Blizzard stamp set was stamped with Memento Black on Shimmer Paper and cut with the 1-7/8 Layered Shapes Circle, then adhered to the next largest Scallop Circle Layered Shapes cut from Gold Shimmer Paper. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Large and Small Pearls were added to the centers of the Snowflakes in the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Embossing Folder

This week on Create with Connie and Mary our theme is Favorite Embossing Folder cards! I knew IMMEDIATELY which one I was going to use! The Tin Type EF has to be one of my ALL time favorites! And I’ve had quite a few favorites over the years! lol!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Festive Farmhouse Designer Paper (very subtle woodgrain look!) is embossed with the Tin Type Embossing Folder.
Across the front is a 1 x 5-1/4 strip of the reverse striped side of Festive Farmhouse DSP.
Some Cherry Cobbler Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine was wrapped around and tied with a bow on front.
The center of the circle greeting in Farmhouse Christmas was masked off, and then just the top and bottom curve greetings were inked with Memento Black Ink and stamped on Mossy Meadow cardstock. It was cut with the Stitched Shape Circle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The truck was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and colored with Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler and Real Red Stampin’ Blends. The tree with Old Olive Blends. It was cut with the Farmhouse Framelits.
The wreath for the front of the truck was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Smoky Slate cardstock, then cut with the Farmhouse Framelit and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot to the front of the truck.
The truck was added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Love this stamp bundle!!! And red trucks are certainly all the rage in decorating this year! Oh, I had so much fun with the sketch this week for Create with Connie and Mary’s Thursday Challenge! Why don’t you see what YOU can do with it? I pulled out my So Santa set to use.

Here’s my So Santa card:

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Old Olive cardstock.
Next is a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 plaid piece of Under the Mistletoe Designer Paper.
The Santa is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the 2-7/8″ Circle Layering Shapes.
Santa and scooter were colored with Stampin’ Blends…Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Ivory, Mango Melody and Pool Party. The circle is popped on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Just Scooting by…is stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock and added to the front.
Two Clear Faceted Gems were added under the circle for a little bling!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN – Trick or Tweet!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Tonight is Beggar’s Night in our area…unfortunately is supposed to rain ALL day!

I found this card when I was cleaning up a little and remembered that I hadn’t shared it yet on my blog. I made this for one of the swaps I participated in a couple months ago for the Holiday Catalog! Hard to believe that those of us going to OnStage will be viewing the new OCCASIONS catalog next week! Woohoo!!!

Hard to see from this photo, but it has a special feature…it opens from left to right (the fold is on the right!) and the front panel is shortened so that the DSP from the inside peeks thru to the front! I love it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 7-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 to form the base card with the fold on the right.
A 1 x 5-1/2 strip of Toil and Trouble Designer Paper was added to the left (inside).
The 3 x 5-1/2 layer of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the elephant from Trick or Tweet in Memento Black Ink and colored with Basic Gray, Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. The ground with Light Granny Apple Green Blends.
The pumpkin was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, colored with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Markers, then hand cut and added next to the elephant.
The bats were punched with the Spooky Bat Punch from Basic Black cardstock and two added to the top of the panel.
The Batty for You greeting from Trick or Tweet stamp set was stamped on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and punched with the 1-1/2 Circle Punch and added to a 1-3/4 Circle Punch of Basic Black. It is adhered half on the front panel so that it hangs over the edge of the card.
An adhesive backed sequin adds a little bling!

Isn’t he sweet? Such a fun fold on a card! I’ll be using it again and again!

IM44 – Warm Hearted

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! Here’s another yummy cake, but look close…it’s a fall theme pumpkin cake! Too cute!

So, again, I thought of a Punch Art Pumpkin since we really don’t have too many pumpkin stamps in our Holiday Catalog this year! And I decided to go a little “artsy” with mine by embossing the top of the pumpkin!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gold Metallic Paper.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock, the Thanks from Warm Hearted (the host set) was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Gold.
The pumpkin is made by cutting three of the Ovals from Layering Ovals Shapes from Very Vanilla cardstock, then embossing them with the Curls & Swirls Embossing Folder.
The tops of the ovals were sponged with Versamark and then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, then adhered together.
The stem is hand-cut from the Gold Metallic Paper.
The leaves at the stem were just trimmed from the Sprig Punch, cut from Gold Metallic Paper, and then two more Sprig Punches were placed at the bottom.

Kind of a clean and simple lines card, but the embossed pumpkin is SO cool! OK…go check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!
