IM159 Friends are like Seashells

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Again, isn’t this GORGEOUS plate of seashell cookies a wonderful inspiration? Of course, just had to use my Friends are Like Seashells stamp set and dies!

FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS

That Pearlescent Paper and Seashells Embossing Folder are also just beautiful! I’m not sure the photo of my card does them justice…it shimmers with SO much detail!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Coastal Cobana cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Sand & Sea Designer Paper was added to the left side.
- A 3 x 4 piece of Pearlescent Specialty Paper was embossed with the Seashells Embossing Folder and added to the front.
- The greeting was stamped on a 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White with Coastal Cabana Ink and cut with the Stitched Shapes Oval. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sand dollar was stamped with Blushing Bride Ink on Basic White, the starfish with Coastal Cabana Ink on Coastal Cabana cardstock and the small shell with Blushing Bride Ink on Blushing Bride cardstock. They were cut with the Seaside Seashells Dies and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two Pastel Pearls were added next to the greeting for a little bling!
- A little Wink of Stella was added to the seashells.

Saturday Blog Hop – Strip it Down

This week’s blog hop theme is “Strip it Down!”. Last week we piled on the embellishments, this week we take it down to a one-layer card with only one type embellishment or ribbon! Fun!

FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS

Stampin’ Details:

The base 4-1/4 x 11 of Thick Basic White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A “D” size acrylic block was inked up with Crumb Cake Ink, then spritzed with water and “stamped” on the front of the Basic White base.
The sand speckles in Friends are Like Seashells were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink randomly.
The large shell was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink, the smaller shell with Balmy Blue Ink and the sea ferns with Just Jade Ink.
The greeting from Friends are Like Seashells was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink.
A trio of Glitter Dots were added to the background for a little bling.

I must say it was fun to strip down the card to one layer, but it is much harder than it would seem! CCMC646 – Flowering Cactus

Happy Thursday! It’s time for a new Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We have a fun color challenge for you this week!

I have been wanting to use my new Flowering Cactus Project Kit…and decided to use just the stamps and dies for this card! And, I absolutely LOVE those Stitched with Whimsy Dies, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Merry Merlot was added on top.
The 3-3/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Basic White cardstock was cut/embossed with the Stitched with Whimsy Dies.
The cactus from Flowering Cactus stamp set was stamped with Old Olive Ink and the flowers with Flirty Flamingo Ink. They were cut with the Flowering Cactus Dies. The flowers were added with Mini Glue Dots.
Before placing the cactus with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front, the ground was stamped a couple times and greeting with Merry Merlot Ink.
A trio of Adhesive Sequins were added in the background.

IM158 Pretty Perennials

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! I love this floral tag and was inspired to use my new Pretty Perennials Bundle.

PRETTY PERENNIALS

I knew I wanted to use flowers to recreate this tag, so pulled out my new Pretty Perennials stamp set and dies to see what I could come up with. After several variations, I settled on this one looking the most like the inspiration photo!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder and added to the front.
- The leaves from the Perennial Dies were cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered to the background.
- The background flowers were cut from Flower & Field Designer Paper (free SAB) and added to the stems with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The outline flowers were cut from Mango Melody cardstock with the Perennial Dies and adhered with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional in the center.
- The stamens were cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the centers.
- Some Sequins for Everything (carryover item) were added to the centers and background for a little bling!
- The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched with the Classic Label Punch, then tucked under the flowers with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Pile It On!

This week’s blog hop theme is “Pile It On!”. How many different embellishments, layers, and accessories can you use on a card? This should be a FUN one!

HYDRANGEA HAVEN

Stampin’ Details:

The base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Just Jade cardstock, score at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock has been “embossed” with the Stitched with Whimsy Dies. I LOVE these dies! They give a nice little extra touch and texture to your card!
Inside the stitched lines is a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Hydrangea Hill Designer Paper.
A 1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Just Jade is added across the front of the DSP.
A Stampin’ Dimensional was placed where the flower will go and some Seaside Spray Shimmer Ribbon looped and stuck down.
The Hydrangea bulb was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then the “fill” stamped with Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Seaside Spray Inks. It was cut with the Hydrangea Dies and added to the front.
The stem was stamped with Just Jade Ink, then the inside “fill” stamped with stamped off Just Jade Ink. It was cut with the Hydrangea Dies and tucked under the flower. The stem was trimmed off a little.
The Hydrangea Haven greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the background.
A trio of Pastel Pearls were added to the background and the flower.

CCMC645 – Sweet Strawberry

Happy Thursday! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We have a FUN sketch for you to try this week! I had a lot of fun making this card using the new Sweet Strawberry stamp set and punch!

SWEET STRAWBERRY

The Berry Delightful Designer Paper (free SAB item) works great with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle in the Jan – June Mini Catalog! I’ve used a couple of the DSP patterns on my card today!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
The red print in Berry Delightful DSP is cut to 2-1/2 x 4 and added to the front.
The green print in Berry Delightful DSP is cut to 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 and added on top.
Two 1/4 x 3-3/4 strips of Poppy Parade cardstock were added over the DSP.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched with the Postage Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The strawberry and leaf outlines were stamped with Memento Black Ink and the insides with Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Inks. They were punched with the Strawberry Builder Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Red Rhinestones were added to the background.

IM157 Lots of Heart

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this a fun plate of cookies! I love the bright colors!

LOTS OF HEART

Even though the lemons probably are a bright yellow like Daffodil Delight, I decided to stay in the Subtles range with So Saffron and Balmy Blue colors. I think they work!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the new Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
- On the left is a 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Subtles So Saffron Designer Paper.
- In the center is a 2 x 4 strip of Subtles Balmy Blue Designer Paper.
- The gingham heart is stamped with Balmy Blue Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Many Hearts Die. It is layered on the Scallop Heart cut from So Saffron cardstock with the Many Hearts Die.
- The smaller polka dot heart was stamped with So Saffron Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Many Hearts Die.
- The hearts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Lots of Heart was stamped with Memento Black ink on 1/2 x 4 Basic White cardstock, then added across the front.
- The flower was cut from So Saffron cardstock and the leaves are one side of the butterfly from Pear Pizzazz cardstock, cut with the Many Hearts Dies and adhered to the gingham heart.
- Three blue sprinkles from the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles embellishments were adhere to the center of the flower and background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Mini Catalog Set

Welcome back everyone!!! This Christmas and New Year’s was definitely “one for the books”. The pictures from the SMALL gathering we had will be fun to look back and see us with masks and social distancing! We were lucky that the weather cooperated a little with temps in the 50s on the day we got together. The garage was quite comfortable with heaters and blankets so we all felt comfortable gathering to open gifts. Hope you enjoyed the holidays even though they might have been different.

FRIENDS ARE LIKE SEASHELLS

This week’s blog hop theme is “Favorite New Mini Catalog Stamp Set”. This was a HARD choice for me! There are quite a few that I really love! But since we just purchased a new home in Florida last year, I had to get the Friends are Like Seashells suite of products. I’m SO happy that the Metallic Mesh carried over…it is perfect for a “fishing net” look!

Stampin’ Details:

The base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 So Saffron cardstock, score at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock is embossed with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Sand & Sea Designer Paper was added down the right side. Then a 1-1/2 x 4 piece across towards the bottom.
A couple 5″ pieces of Metallic Mesh were added to the background.
The large shell from Friends are Like Seashells was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White cardstock and the “fill” image with Crumb Cake Ink randomly. It was cut with the large background Seaside Seashells die and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The starfish was stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on So Saffron cardstock and cut with the die, then popped up on front.
The sand dollar was stamped with Blushing Bride Ink on Blushing Bride cardstock, cut with the die, and popped up on the front.
Wishing you greeting from Friends are Like Seashells stamp set is stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on a 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock, the end cut at an angle, then adhered on front around the shells.
A trio of small Opal Rounds were added in the background.

OK…that Metallic Mesh really pulled this card together, don’t you think?
