IM79 – Ride with Me

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Aren’t these truck cookies so fun!!! I want to find someone who could make these for me!

Of course, I had to use the new Ride with Me stamp set for my card! AND, don’t you LOVE that new Birch Background stamp!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Seaside Spray cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was stamped with the Birch Background image in Crumb Cake Ink.
- A 5/8 x 3-1/2 strip of Neutrals Crumb Cake gingham print was added towards the bottom.
- A 1/4 x 4 strip of Basic Black was layered on top.
- The truck from Ride With Me stamp set is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with the Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends, with Light Basic Black and Light Smoky Slate for the wheels. It is hand-cut and placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The window is colored with Wink of Stella.
- The surfboard was made by cutting Pineapple Punch cardstock with one of the smaller Layering Ovals, then cutting it again to make it narrower. A strip of Seaside Spray cardstock was added down the center.
- The beach ball was made with punching Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch and Call Me Clover with the small Balloon punch. They were added to a 1-1/2 circle to hold in place, then cut with a 1″ Circle (punch or dies). A 3/8″ circle was punched for the center to hide where they overlap.
- The surfboard and beach ball were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink and punched and shortened with the Timeless Punch, , the background Timeless Punch was cut from Seaside Spray. They were overlapped at the top, trimmed off, then two Happiness Blooms yellow dots added to the bottom.

Saturday Blog Hop – Sentiment Only

Happy Saturday! Hope you had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July in the States! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! The challenge this week is “Sentiment Only” cards. Stampin’ Up! is really doing a great job providing stamp sets with wonderful greetings in them! Woven Heirlooms is one of my favorites in the new catalog!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Perfect Posy cardstock is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
A 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Woven Threads Designer Paper was added to the front (I love that this pack of DSP has all the new In Colors!)
The Scallop Layered Ovals is cut from Seaside Spray cardstock and adhered over the DSP first.
A 3/8 x 4-3/4 strip of Terracotta Tile cardstock was placed next.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Stitched Shapes Oval. The fleur was stamped with Seaside Spray Ink under the greeting. It is placed over the Terracotta Tile strip on the scallop oval and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two of the In Color Faceted Jewels were added in the background.

CCMC568 – Good Morning Magnolia

Happy FOURTH OF JULY! It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge! For the month of July we are “Casing the Catalog”! What does that mean? We have taken one of the Stampin’ Up! sample cards in the Annual Catalog and using the colors, layout, OR inspiration, we are challenged to make our own card! It will be fun to see what the Challenge Team does with them! Here’s the first one!

I’m using the sweet little bud image from Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, along with some of the dies for my card and using the layout as my inspiration.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 new In Color Seaside Spray cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Woven Threads Designer Paper.
Two 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 panels of Whisper White cardstock were embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder and layered on top of each other in the center portion of the card.
A 4-1/2 length of Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon was added across the front.
The magnolia buds from Good Morning Magnolia were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo Blends combined to represent the Terracotta Tile color. The leaves were colored with Mint Macaron Blends. They were cut out with the Magnolia Memory Dies and popped up on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The little starburst flowers were cut with the Dies from Rococo Rose cardstock and added above the flower buds with Mini Glue Dots. The centers are the Seaside Spray In Color Faceted Dots.
The leaves were cut with the Dies from Soft Seafoam cardstock and tucked under the flowers.
Enjoy Today from Good Morning Magnolia was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Seaside Spray cardstock, the end cut at an angle, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’m calling this a “Classic Vintage’ card because of the background DSP makes it look vintage, but the white panels and flowers are more classic! Make sure to check out what the Challenge Team did with this week’s “Case the Catalog” challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

IM78 – Floral Essence

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday photo! It’s a holiday week here in the United States and this wreath is SO patriotic! I love seeing all the red/white/blue this time of year.

I pulled out my Floral Essence stamp set…the shape of the flowers in this set look similar to the wreath’s flowers. I must admit, I didn’t think I’d get this set at first, but I have used it a LOT more than I thought I would! We used it for our CCMC Floral Essence Collection…it is SO fun and colorful, too! You can still purchase it HERE!

Does this layout look familiar to you? I did a card earlier this year with the layout using Bloom by Bloom stamp set…you can see that one HERE!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a1-3/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Come Sail Away Designer Paper adhered to the right side.
- A 1/2 x 4 strip of Real Red Cardstock is added under the 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 panel of Whisper White cardstock.
- The Whisper White panel is stamped with the greeting in Floral Essence in Blueberry Bushel Ink.
- The large flower was stamped with Real Red and two smaller flowers in Blueberry Bushel Ink on scrap Whisper White. The centers were stamped with Granny Apple Green. They were hand-cut and added to the bottom left corner.
- The leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock, then hand-cut and tucked under the flowers.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New In Color

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! The challenge this week is “Favorite new In Color” cards. I went back and forth between Seaside Spray and Purple Posy…but finally settled on Purple Posy for my card. I wish the ink was available!!! But, Highland Heather is actually a really nice darker complement to it.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Purple Posy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was added.
A 1-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of new In Color 6×6 DSP was placed towards the left side.
A 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Mint Macaron was placed towards the bottom.
A 1/8 x 4 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper was added across the front.
The flower from Floral Essence was stamped four times with Highland Heather Ink on Purple Posy cardstock and punched with the Floral Punch. They were adhered together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The centers were stamped with Mint Macaron on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the 1/2 Circle Punch and added to the flowers.
The leaves were stamped with Mint Macaron on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Leaf Punch, then added under the flowers with Mini Glue Dots.
The greeting in Floral Essence stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink.

CCMC567 – Over the Moon

It’s Thursday and another Create with Connie and Mary color challenge is up this week! Nice and bright for summer!

I used the cute, new, whimsical set, Over the Moon! Now…normally I’m not a “cow” person, but I love the expressions on these images!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The Calypso Coral was cut from the second largest Stitched Rectangle Die. It was stamped in the corners with the Waterfront speckle stamp and Calypso Coral Ink.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner of the Calypso Coral.
A 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Granny Apple Green was embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 1/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Basic Black cardstock was added on top.
The cow was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the 2-1/8 x 3-5/8 Stitched Rectangle Die. It is colored with Light Basic Black, Dark Poppy Parade, Light Calypso Coral, Dark Petal Pink, and Granny Apple Green. The grass was stamped with Granny Apple Green.
That was layered onto a 2-/8 x 3-3/4 piece of Poppy Parade cardstock, then popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM77 – Popsicle Punch Art

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday photo! When I first saw the SMALL image of this, I thought it was a blob of pink! Then I looked closer and saw the yummy popsicles!

Since we don’t have any current stamp sets with popsicles in them, I decided to make a punch art one with Melon Mambo cardstock and ink! A little bit of Wink of Stella makes it shine!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
- I stamped a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock using the Buffalo Check background stamp and Melon Mambo Ink, then tore the sheet in half diagonally (bonus, I still have another half sheet I can use!) I adhered it to the Whisper White layer.
- On a 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Melon Mambo cardstock, I rounded one edge by sliding it thru the back of the Layering Circle Die and running it partially thru the Big Shot.
- I did the same with the two 1/2 x 2-3/4 strips of Melon Mambo cardstock, cutting off just a little on each end. I sponged the edges with Melon Mambo Ink to give them so definition, then used Clear Wink of Stella on top.
- I repeated the same with two 1/2 x 2 strips of Crumb Cake cardstock for the handles, and adhered to the back of the “popsicle”.
- All the pieces were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed on the front of the card.
- Cheers to You from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the open space background.
- A bow was tied with the Whisper White/Silver Metallic Ribbon and added to the bottom of the popsicle with a Mini Glue Dot.

I tried adding some flowers…just wasn’t working. But, I do love this card! Make sure to check out what Mary did with this challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Stamp Set

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme today is our “Favorite New Stamp Set”. Honestly…how could I pick JUST ONE? I love a WHOLE BUNCH of the new stamp sets! But, I must admit that Good Morning Magnolia was at the very top of my list, so I went with that one as my “favorite” today! lol!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is stamped with the Buffalo Check background using Crumb Cake Ink, then a portion of the bottom corner cut off.
The Thinking of You greeting from Good Morning Magnolia is stamped with Memento Black Ink in the open corner.
The large magnolia flower and small bud flower from Good Morning Magnolia were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and colored with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Magnolia Memory Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Gold Metallic Pearls were added to the background.
