CCMC573 – Beautiful Friendship

Wow…time again for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! The weeks are going by faster, aren’t they? This is a pretty color combination and I just had to use the beautiful roses in Beautiful Friendship stamp set!

Here’s what I made! I probably never would have put Grapefruit Grove and Pretty Peacock together, but I really like the color combination!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Grapefruit Grove cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On tp is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, stamped with the greeting in the lower left corner with Pretty Peacock Ink.
A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Woven Threads Designer Paper was added to the right side, with a 1/2 x 4 piece of Sahara Sand cardstock layered on top.
The Stitched Shape Oval was cut from Whisper White and stamped with the roses from Beautiful Friendship in Grapefruit Grove Ink. It was layered on a Layering Scallop Oval cut from Grapefruit Grove cardstock, then popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves were stamped off with Pretty Peacock Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then hand-cut and tucked between the oval layers.

Harvest Hellos

Over on Create with Connie and Mary, we just opened our Harvest Hellos Collection this week. Yes, Mary and I both expedited our Holiday Catalog preorders and worked hard over the weekend to get our Collection done early JUST FOR YOU! Our mission is to help those demos who struggle with class prep OR who simply don’t have time to create and prep! AND give our customers lots of great ideas for card making and small 3D projects. That is why we started Create with Connie and Mary SOOOO long ago! If you haven’t tried our design service yet, this one is a GREAT one to get! You’ll love it! And remember…you won’t see our Collection designs all over the internet…they are exclusive for our subscribers only!

But, while I had the stamp set out, I decided to make another card using the fun apples! Next week is back to school for most of our school districts and I’m sure a teacher would LOVE to get this card, don’t you? It really was SO fun to make! This also fits The Paper Players back to school challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Regals 6×6 Designer Paper was added to the bottom.
A piece of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon was wrapped around the Whisper White and tied in a knot towards the left side.
The Harvest Hellos greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink above the knot.
The apples were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Real Red, Crushed Curry and Granny Apple Green cardstocks, then punched with the Apple Builder Punch. The leaves were stamped with Old Olive Ink on Old Olive cardstock and punched, and the stems stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White cardstock, colored with Early Espresso Light Blends and punched. They were all added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A little Wink of Stella was applied to the apple sides for a little sparkle.
A trio of Holiday Rhinestones in all three colors were added in the background for a little bling!

I REALLY, REALLY love how this turned out! I think I’ll send it off to my daughter-in-law next week just to remind her that she is a great third-grade teacher (and mom!)

IM83 – Medium Daisy

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this a lovely cake? I’d love to get one like this for MY birthday!

I have an ABUNDANCE of flower stamps that I could use, but I just got the Medium Daisy Punch in an order, so thought I’d do a card with lots of punches!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
- I punched three Timeless Labels from Daffodil Delight cardstock and adhered down the center.
- The Medium Daisy was punched four times from Whisper White cardstock and two adhered together to make two flowers. The petals were slightly curled.
- In the center of the daisies are 1/2″ circles punched from Daffodil Delight and highlighted with Wink of Stella. The daisies are popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The leaves were punched from Garden Green cardstock with the Four-Petal Flower Punch, then cut apart and adhered under the daisies.
- Happy Birthday from Seaside Notions was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the center label.
- A few Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were added in the background for a little bling!

Isn’t that a clean and fresh looking card? I’m glad it came out as I pictured in my head with the label background! OK, make sure to check out what Mary did with this challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Wiggle Worm Again

See…I told you I’d be back with another Wiggle Worm card! This one is another one of my favorites (let’s be honest…they are ALL my favorites!), but this little worm is SO cute! I often call my grandkids, “wiggle worm”, because they can’t seem to sit still! This was one of my swap cards for the new Annual Catalog.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock.
The 3 x 5 layer of Granny Apple Green is stamped with the speckle stamp in the upper left and lower right corners with Garden Green ink.
A 2 x 4 piece of Dinoroar Designer Paper was added towards the left side.
A 1/4 x 5 strip of Garden Green was placed over top with two Rhinestone jewels at the top and bottom.
A Layering Circle was cut from Whisper White cardstock and the grass was stamped with Garden Green, the ground watercolored with Crumb Cake Ink and the speckle stamp with Crumb Cake Ink.
Wiggle Worm greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink and the cloud with Pool Party.
The worm was stamped on scrap Whisper White and colored with the Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Wiggly Bugs Die and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Whisper White circle was added to a Scallop Layering Circle cut from Pretty Peacock and added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

SOOOO fun, isn’t it??? I really love this card! OK, stay tuned for another Wiggle Worm card later this week!

Saturday Blog Hop – Animal Kingdom

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our CCMC theme is Animal Kingdom, any cards that have animals, birds or insects in them! I had a hard time choosing which set to use, but finally settled on Dino Days! AND…I went with bright PINK color of Lovely Lipstick for a more feminine look!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lovely Lipstick cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top, the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was stamped with the palm tree trunk in Crumb Cake Ink and the leaves with Old Olive Ink towards the right side.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Dinoroar DSP was added to the bottom.
The greeting from Dino Days was stamped with Memento Black Ink above the DSP.
The flying dino was stamped with Lovely Lipstick Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Dino Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the neck with a Mini Glue Dot.
Finally, a trio of Dinoroar Enamel Shapes were added to the top left corner for a little bling.

Isn’t that CUTE? I think I’ll send it to my grand-daughter! OK, continue on the “Animal Kingdom” blog hop…next up is our Create with Connie and Mary website, then on to creative Mary Brown, or head backwards to see Melissa’s fabulous card!

CCMC572 – Seaside Notions

Happy Thursday! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge! This time it is a fun sketch challenge…I love sketches!

I pulled out my Seaside Notions stamp set again…thought the shells would be perfect for the little circles! And, I love that mosaic designer paper!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 layer of Basic Black cardstock.
The mosaic DSP from Mosaic Mood Designer Paper is added on top.
The Stitched Circle was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped with Happy Birthday from Seaside Notions in Memento Black Ink towards the top. It was layered on the Layering Scallop Circle cut from Basic Black cardstock.
The shells were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then colored with Petal Pink and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends, then hand-cut and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 3/8 x 3-1/2 strip of Mint Macaron cardstock was adhered to a 1/2 x 3-5/8 strip of Basic Black and added to the front.
The Circle was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were added to the background.
A little Wink of Stella was added to the shells for a little sparkle.

Wiggle Worm

Hi everyone!!! I am usually so busy with blogging for our Create with Connie and Mary challenges that I don’t get a chance to blog some of my other cards. I have SEVERAL swap cards I’ve made that I haven’t shared! So, here is the first one using Wiggle Worm that I did for the Stampin’ Up! Trip Achievers Swap!

WIGGLE WORM BUNDLE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 layer of Shaded Spruce cardstock.
The 3-1/8 x 4-5/8 layer of Whisper White cardstock has a 2 x 3-1/8 piece of Garden Lane Designer Paper added to the bottom.
The grass was cut with the Wiggle Bugs Die from Shaded Spruce cardstock and placed across the seam.
Cute as a Bug was stamped with Memento Black Ink and the clouds with Mint Macaron.
The ladybug was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, colored with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends and cut with the Wiggle Bugs die. She was popped up in the grass with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Real Red Rhinestone jewel was added next to the greeting!

That Wiggle Worm set is really one of my favorites! You’ll see a couple more swap cards I did using this bundle, too!

IM82 – Royal Peacock

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this tray of peacock cookies beautiful? I think so!

Of course, I had to use Royal Peacock stamp set for my card. I played off the white background on some of the cookies with just the feather image!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Noble Peacock Designer Paper in the medallion pattern.
- Across the top of the DSP is a 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Old Olive Noble Peacock Foil Sheet.
- A 3″ length of 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon was added to the foil.
- The greeting from Royal Peacock was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Stitched Shapes Circle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The peacock feather was also cut from Whisper White and tucked beside the circle.
- Two Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added to the front.

This is really a pretty simple card, but the metallic finishes really make it POP! OK, make sure to check out what Mary did with this challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!
