CCMC674 – Pretty Pumpkin

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This month we are “casing the catalog” and it’s our third week!  Here’s this week’s challenge:

 

PRETTY PUMPKINS BUNDLE

I decided to use my new Pretty Pumpkins Bundle (July-December Mini Catalog and available for purchase on August 3) on today’s card, along with some bright pumpkin fall colors!  I love the look of the ombre background with white on top!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was added to the right side.
  • The 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Pansy Petals Designer Paper was added down the center.
  • A 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Vellum Cardstock was adhered on top..
  • The pumpkins and leaves were cut from Basic White cardstock with the Detailed Pumpkins Dies.  They were adhered to the Vellum cardstock.
  • Gather Together was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Basic White and hand-cut around the lettering.  It was added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow around the stem of the pumpkin.
  • A trio of Opal Rounds were added to the background.

Punch Art Birthday Shark

My oldest grandchild just turned 8 in June and I realized I forgot to show the card that I made for him. The theme of his party was “sharks” so I had to think out of the box on this one.  I checked out Pinterest for a few ideas, then made this one.  It is made 100% from Stampin’ Up! products, but there are some retired ones on here!

PUNCH ART BIRTHDAY SHARK

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is Ombre Bermuda Bay Circles print DSP (retired).
  • The shark body is Layering Ovals and 1″ circle punch for fins (both retired), cut from Smoky Slate and Basic White cardstock and trimmed.
  • The tail is the Bow punch trimmed (retired).
  • The eyes are 1/4″ circle Basic White and 1/8″ circle Basic Black cardstock.
  • The hat is punched from Calypso Coral print with the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch.
  • All were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The hardest to figure out was the mouth, but ended up using the mouth from an jack-o-lantern in the retired stamp set, Sparkly Seasons.  Stamped with Basic Gray Ink on Basic White and hand-cut.
  • The number 8 from Playful Alphabet Dies and the seaweed from Smooth Sailing Dies were cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock and added to the front.
  • Happy Birthday was stamped with Basic Gray Ink on Basic White and cut from the Floral Gallery Die.  It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A gold Glitter Dot was added to the top of the hat for a little bling!

Isn’t that fun?  It was a great match to his party plates and decorations!

Control Freaks – July 2021

Hi! This is my THIRD post today, so make sure to check out the other two!  Crazy how all my posts seem to fall on the same day!

Welcome to the monthly Tour de Freaks, brought to you by the Control Freak Swappers! The theme this month is “Animal Antics”!    I love all the new critters in the catalogs…they just keep getting better!  Since I’m definitely a “cat” person, I knew I had to get the new Clever Cats Stamp Set from the July-December Mini Catalog.  You’ve probably just come from Melissa Davies!    Just click on the link below to take you around the entire blog hop for some GREAT inspiration!

CLEVER CATS
I used Clever Cats and the Bloom Where You Are Planted Designer Paper on my card today.  I love that you can cut out a lot of the plants from the DSP!  I think he is hiding behind the plant getting ready to pounce!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green c/s, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gray Granite was embossed with the Macramé Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 2-3/4 x 4-3/4 piece of Bloom Where You Are Planted DSP brick pattern was added to the front, then a 1/2 x 4 greenery pattern across the bottom.
  • One of the plants was cut out of the DSP by hand and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The next to largest circle from Layering Circle Dies was cut from Basic White and stamped with the cat in the box in Memento Black Ink.  The carton was filled in with Gray Granite Ink.  The eyes were colored with the Daffodil Delight Marker.  The circle is popped up under the plant with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Garden Green c/s and punched with the Label Me Fancy Punch.  It is popped up with Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the cat’s tail with a Mini Glue Dot.

July 2021 Maui Achievers Blog Hop

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve both Maui trips that were held in May 2021 plus earn the trip for 2022!  Our theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

CLEVER CATS STAMP SET

Demos have been able to preorder from the upcoming July-December Mini Catalog and I must admit that this Clever Cats stamp set was at the very top of my list!!!  I love cats!  We’ve been thinking of getting another one since we lost our sweet Bleach several years ago.  We’ll see!  Here’s a quick card that I made up for today’s blog hop.  Remember, most of these products will not be available for order until August 3, 2021.

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bumblebee cardstock was added on top.
  • Two 1 x 4 strips of Cute Halloween Designer Paper (kind of looks like fur!) were added to the right side and the greeting from Clever Cats stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower left area.
  • A 2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White was randomly stamped with the large and small bats from Clever Cats stamp set in Memento Black Ink.
  • The cat was stamped on scrap Basic White with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light Smoky Slate Blends for the body and Daffodil Delight Blends for the eyes.  It was hand-cut.
  • The broom was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink on scrap Basic White and colored with the Daffodil Delight Blends for the straw.  It was also hand-cut, and both added to the Basic White panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Basic White panel was added to a layer of 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 Basic Black cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of iridescent Cute Stars were added to the background for a little bling.

IM185 – Daisy Garden

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a bright summer wreath!

 

DAISY GARDEN

I know Stampin’ Up! has that cute sun stamp set that is new in the Annual Catalog this year.  It would have been PERFECT for this challenge, but I don’t have it!  SO…I focused on the daisies on the wreath and the colors to create my card and used the Daisy Garden background stamp set!  It worked out really well!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock was added on the front.
    • A 1 x 5-1/4 piece of Simply Elegant Designer Paper was added down the left side.
    • The Daisy Garden image was stamped on a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock and colored with So Saffron Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo, Soft Sea Foam Combo, Old Olive Combo and Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  It was trimmed to the 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece and sponged around the edges with Bermuda Bay Ink, then added to the center.
    • A 1 x 3 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock was punched on each end with the Banners Pick A Punch and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • A 1-1/4 x 1-3/4 piece of Basic White was stamped with the Hello greeting from Biggest Wish in Basic Gray Ink, then added to the banner piece.
    • A trio of Basic Rhinestones were added in the background for a little bling.

Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas in July

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Christmas in July”.  There are several new stamp sets in the Annual Catalog AND we can preorder from the new July-December Holiday Catalog right now!  Should be fun to see what our Design Team chooses to use!  You may recognize the layout of my card today…I used it for my case the catalog challenge card earlier this month!

SEASON’S BLESSINGS BUNDLE

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Evening Evergreen cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Succulent cardstock was embossed with the Bark Embossing Folder.
  • A 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Paper was added on a diagonal.
  • The Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the greeting at the bottom in Evening Evergreen Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The 1/4 x 4 strip of striped Tidings of Christmas DSP was added across the top.
  • The large poinsettia was stamped with Real Red Ink, the smaller one with Cherry Cobbler Ink, the two leaves with Evening Evergreen Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Seasonal Basket Dies.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionas.
  • A trio of small Champagne Rhinestones were added to the large poinsettia and one to the smaller poinsettia for a little bling.

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This month we are casing the catalog each week.  Here is this week’s card to case!  We could use the stamp set, the colors, the layout…whatever inspires us about the card.

WHAT’S COOKIN’

I decided to use the layout again for my card and picked my What’s Cookin’ stamp set to use, along with the Pattern Party Designer Paper (Host only special).  Remember that most of the Annual Catalog Designer Paper packs are ON SALE for the month of July!  Shop my ONLINE STORE with the link below!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party was added on top.
  • Three 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 pieces of Pattern Party DSP were added to the front, evenly spaced.
  • The second from largest Layering Circle was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front.
  • The cutting board was cut with the Cookin’ Dies from Crumb Cake cardstock and added with a Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Some Gold Simply Elegant Trim was wrapped around the handle and tied in a bow.
  • The bowl was stamped with Bumblebee Ink on So Saffron cardstock, the measuring cups with Granny Apple Green Ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock, the spoon with Bermuda Bay Ink on Basic White cardstock.  All were cut with the Cookin’ Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • What’s Cookin’? was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 5/8 x 2 piece of Pool Party cardstock, the end cut at an angle and tucked under the cutting board with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • Two gold Genial Gems were added to the cutting board.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a striking blue and gold teacup and saucer to inspire us!

QUIET MEADOW

I felt that the flower in Quiet Meadow stamp set looked a little like the flower on this teacup and tried for a tone-on-tone look using Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy color combo with Gold Metallic accents.

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock was stamped with the flower from Quiet Meadow randomly in the background with Night of Navy Ink.
    • The speckles were stamped off with Misty Moonlight Ink randomly and the layer added to the front.
    • A 3/8 x 5-1/2 strip of Gold Metallic Cardstock was added to the left side.
    • The branch from Meadow Dies was also cut from Gold Metallic Cardstock and adhered to the background.
    • Some Gold Simply Elegant Trim was wrapped in loops and added to the stem.
    • Thinking of You was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Label from the Meadow Dies.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • A trio of Gilded Gems were added to the background.
