LOTS going on today! Create with Connie and Mary has the Saturday Design Team Blog Hop, PLUS it’s my turn to offer a FREE Preview Tutorial of my card set, Petal Potpourri. Don’t you just LOVE these colors? So springy (and I’m SO ready!) Of course, it is April and they are talking about SNOW showers around here this weekend again! Please…no! But, making these made me feel better! I paired the Petal Potpourri stamp set with the Because You Care Hostess set and Party Pennants Bigz Die!

Day 6 Preview: Moon Lake

I made up a QUICK and easy card using Moon Lake to celebrate Day 6 of our PREVIEW WEEK for Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions Celebrations! I love the images in Moon Lake, but haven’t used it much! And I hadn’t used this image at all! Looking out the window lately, I’ve seen a LOT of fat robins around! It inspired me to do this card. Really, you couldn’t get much simplier!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake with the bottom corners rounded using the Project Life Corner Rounder.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Chocolate Chip was added to the base, rounding the bottom corners, too.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, the image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the lower left corner and colored using Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder and Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Markers. The bottom corners were also rounded.
The greeting from Moon Lake was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
In the background, the Gorgeous Grunge speckle image was stamped a couple times diagonally across the front with Soft Sky Ink.

CCMC349 Celebrate Today

It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We have a fun sketch for you to play along with us! This was SO fun…and so many different looks from our Challenge Team!

Here’s my card using Celebrate Today!

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Crushed Curry, folded in half.
Across the bottom of the 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White layer is a 3/4 x 5 1/4 strip of Birthday Bash Designer Paper.
A length of 1/8 Gold Ribbon was placed across the seam. (Love how this shines!)
The basket of the hot air balloon was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink. The balloon was stamped with Crushed Curry with Tangelo Twist polka dots stamped on top. I cut it out with the Balloon Framelits and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Celebrate is stamped with Bermuda Bay on Whisper White and cut, then placed on the top of the balloon.
Birthday was stamped above the DSP with Night of Navy Ink three times.
I punched the clouds with the Cupcake frosting from Whisper White, then sponged around with Bermuda Bay Ink. They were placed with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Day 4 PREVIEW: Just Kidding!

It’s Day 4 of the Create with Connie and Mary PREVIEW WEEK for the upcoming Card “Create”tions Celebrations session! We are featuring another one of our fabulous Design Team members today, and she has BLOG CANDY for you…want to win a free subscription? Check out the details over on Create with Connie and Mary today!

This stamp set, Just Kidding, was just introduced by Stampin’ Up! earlier this month! I normally don’t go for this style of stamp, but I do love some of the sayings and love that the ladies are already separate from the greetings! Plus, for $19.95 US, I thought it was a bargain!

She definitely reminds me of someone…can’t really figure out who! lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Pink Pirouette cardstock, folded in half.
Confetti Celebration DSP was cut to 3 3/4 x 5 (I’m on a mission to use up my DSP before the end of the catalog!) The reverse side was cut 1 x 4 and placed across the front.
The Just Kidding lounging lady image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink, then colored with Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Hello Honey, Real Red, and Crumb Cake makers, then cut with the Circle Framelit. It was layered on a larger Pool Party Circle Framelit and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Birthday was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Pool Party and punched with the Designer Label Punch, then placed halfway under the DSP.
A Pink Pirouette (Subtles) Button was tied with White Bakers Twine, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Day 3 PREVIEW: From the Garden

Since it is the LAST DAY of Sale-A-Bration for the year, I couldn’t resist using a couple of the Sale-A-Bration items on my From the Garden card today! The Best Year Ever Designer Paper is one of the BEST DSPs we’ve had in my opinion. And, the late-comer Nature’s Perfection has become a favorite, too!

It’s also Day 3 of the Create with Connie and Mary PREVIEW WEEK for the upcoming Card “Create”tions Celebrations session! Honestly, when I first saw the From the Garden stamp set and matching framelits, I really didn’t think it was a set that I needed or would use. However, I took a chance and ordered it with some hostess credits, and I absolutely LOVE it! The variety of stakes in the Framelits are SOOOO cute and I know I’ll use them a lot! I can’t wait to play some more with them!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Sahara Sand, folded in half.
A 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Pool Party was placed on top.
At the bottom is a 3 x 4 piece of Best Year Ever Designer Paper (SAB selection). I used a 1/4 x 4 inch strip of the reverse side to hide the seam.
The Deco Label Framelit cut the Sahara Sand cardstock and was placed on the front of the card.
The Nature’s Perfection flower was stamped with Hello Honey Ink on So Saffron twice and cut out the full flower once and just the center of the second flower. I added a trio of Pearls in the center, then popped it up on the front of the Deco Label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the garden stake with Tuxedo Black Ink and cut with the From the Garden Framelits. The trio of flowers from Nature’s Perfection were stamped with So Saffron and the greeting from Nature’s Perfection with Pool Party ink. I tucked it behind the flower and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional, then tied a bow with the Painted Blooms Cotton Twine and added with a Mini Glue Dot.

LOVE it and used up some of the finished parts I had sitting on my desk! Love when I can use them up!

Happy Easter Bunny

Since it is so close to Easter, I couldn’t resist bringing out Happy Easter Bunny again. But, really, this bunny can be used for SO much more than Easter! I mentioned in an earlier post that I had cut the bunny away from the rest of the egg image so I could use it easier!

Isn’t this sweet? Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 So Saffron.
A 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Whisper White was placed on top.
The Sweet Dreams Designer Paper was cut 3 x 4 1/4 and adhered on the front towards the right edge.
A 3/8 x 4 piece of coordinating Sweet Dreams DSP was adhered along the bottom and cut with a flag end.
The Label Bracket Punched was used with the Sweet Dreams DSP and placed in the upper left corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Easter from Indescribable Gift was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Pink Pirouette cardstock and punched with the Modern Label punch, then adhered on top of the Label Bracket Punch.
A Petite Petals punch from Pink Pirouette and an Itty Bitty Accent flower from So Saffron were punched, adhered together and placed along the “ground”.
The bunny from Happy Easter Bunny was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White, colored with Smoky Slate, So Saffron and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Markers, then cut out and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Oh so SWEET! I think this will be Quinn’s Easter card this year!

To celebrate our PREVIEW WEEK, I used Cheerful Critters stamp set for my card! Can you believe that in just a couple more months, some awesome In Colors will be going away? What will I do without Coastal Cabana (my favorite!), Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe that I used on this card???

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana, folded in half.
So Saffron was cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and added to the front.
1/2 x 4-1/4 strips of Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding were staggered across the front.
The chick from Cheerful Critters was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Circle Framelits. She was colored with So Saffron, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding Markers. The Happy Day greeting was stamped with Coastal Cabana ink.
The chick circle was layered on the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch of Crisp Cantaloupe, and the next larger size of Circle Framelit cut Basic Black. It’s popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used the Petite Petals Punch (on sale this week!) with Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock and the Itty Bitty Accents flower punch with So Saffron cardstock to cut the flowers and added a small Pearl to the center. They were added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop Nature’s Perfection

Wow…can you believe it is almost the END of Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration? It is such a great time of year to pick up FREE product with a purchase! We had lots of great sets to use, too! Originally, the Create with Connie and Mary Design Team was going to focus on Big Day stamp set for this Saturday’s Blog Hop, but then Stampin’ Up! added Nature’s Perfection and For Being You stamp sets to our free selections…so this week our Design Team had the choice of what set to use on their card! You’ve probably just come from Deb Currier’s Blog…love her For Being You card!

Sometimes a card just doesn’t seem finished and how it looked in my head, and I can keep adding and adding until I’m happy. Well, this card ended up using MUCH more product than I normally do on a card! But…it does feature several of the SAB products, so I’m ok with it! I really do love how soft and delicate it turned out!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Blushing Bride, folded in half.
A 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White layer was stamped with the stem in Nature’s Perfection twice on the left side with Sahara Sand Ink (allow room for the DSP). The tips of the flowers were colored with the Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker.
A 1 3/4 x 4 piece of Irresistibly Yours Designer Paper was colored with a sponge dauber and Blushing Bride Ink, then adhered to the bottom of the Whisper White layer.
The 7/8″ Scallop Circle was punched from Sahara Sand and the petals cut to resemble a flower, then the Blushing Bride Artisan Embellishment flower was placed in the center with Mini Glue Dots, then added to the front of the card under the stems.
The frame from the hostess set, Because You Care, was stamped with Blushing Bride, then the Happy Birthday greeting stamped inside with Sahara Sand. It was cut with the Chalk Talk Framelit which fits perfectly around the frame. That was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally the butterfly from Nature’s Perfection was stamped with Sahara Sand on Blushing Bride cardstock, then punched with the Butterfly Punch and placed on the frame with a Stampin’ Dimensional. Pearls were added for the body.

Well, I hope this gave you a good idea for the Nature’s Perfection stamp set! I love the flower in it, but wanted to feature one of the other stamp images in it!
